@wolfacula Yea they use a drum machine, always have. They're a two man band, but don't let that put you off them! They're one of my favourite bands, and from my hometown. I've seen them live and they use a session drummer and extra guitarists/bassists. Most beautifully brutal band ever! \m/

I'm a diehard Anaal Nathrakh fan. They were one of my first metal bands (not extreme metal, but metal in genreal) and they're my favorite band today. I got into them right when Domine Non Es Dignus came out. My favorite album of all time is The Codex Necro, and I can honestly say that Passion will be my 2nd favorite AN album. I've heard the entire album in advance, and it is fucking insane. Everyone who thinks their last two albums are brilliant should listen to The Codex Necro right now.

I feel a bit disappointed at Passion, mainly because Constellation was such a masterstroke. No, I'm not saying this is a bad album - considering that only 2 songs have been released off it; can't judge a book by its covers or after having read a few pages - but I expected something more malevolent. This sounds too clean, too polished to me. Nevertheless, gonna buy it anyway cos I know AN won't come up with a shitty record.

I have to say the complete opposite, no disrespect. I love the sound of this album. Also, it's nice with a slightly different sound than before. I feel that the drums really get the attention they deserve. But I have to say, the "polished sound" is really not that polished, just a slightly bit more than before.

Also, huge kudos to Mick for being so active in producing music. Never stop.

But it was the unmitigated chaotic insanity that lifted AN above all the other metal bands in my book and that's what I miss.
