It doesn't seem to have those weird looking graphic patterns printed on top cover like on mini 1000.I prefer it just plain black like on this mini 700.This looks nicer than mini 1000.

The mini 700 its the european version of the Mini 1000....

Its shipped only with windows xp.

not entirely... HP bought compaq back in 2004 i believe. HP treat compaq as a "lower" end brand. Thats why they charge lesss for the compaq products.

THERE EXACTLY THE SAME, BAR TWO THINGS:

1) The logos.

2) You can only get HP's special Linux edition OS on the HP Mini (if you live in N.A,)

Ok, thnx. I picked a 701 up last week for €220,-. Great price, and a great device.

The next step for netbooks should be a HDMI-connection, and a HD-capable GPU (and ofcourse a nice price, because otherwise we could go for a normal laptop instead).

Where did you get it for that price? In Belgium they start at about €300...

Some guy wanted a mobile internet-abonnement, of which he received a discount if he took the laptop with it. He didn't need it, so he made a deal with someone who wanted a laptop like this. I was this someone.

So in Belgium this construction is not possible, since your government is very strict against 'koppelverkoop'.
