@crazy4baseball47 yea camaro's do not make good drift cars, big heavy long wheelbase cars arent as good as light short wheelbase cars for drifting, the biggest thing about heavy long wheelbase cars is that they cant transition as fast (huge part of good drifting) and cars like the camaro arent very well balanced for drifting (they are built for straight line racing)

Besides A high power to weight ratio is somewhat essential to doing good drifts and they do all of those things listed above to said short wheelbase lighter cars
Nissan's VG30DETT and the VQ are in drag racing cars that are mid 6 second 1/4 mile cars. Gas Motorsports 2JZ Celica runs 6.5 and 6.7 1/4 mile easy. And let's not forget Puerto Rico with alot of RWD 6 second 1/4 mile cars with 4 cylinders, 6 cylinders and rotaries. Talk about underdogs

@minidakota318 a 1973 charger - 1973 Dodge Charger SE 440ci 0-60 in 7.4 and the 1/4 mile in 15.2. a stock 350z vs a stock 1973 charger and the Z would dominate it. a stock Z is capable of extremely low 14s or very high 13s. its not really that crazy to think a brand new car with 2 seats and decades of racing technology in it can beat what a stock 1973 charger could do. only a very few of the old muscle cars back in the day were actually "fast." most were 14 if not 15 second cars.

First off, run what you brung, and thats what the 350Z did. And how do you know that 350Z was stock, are you the driver or mechanic for it? and the VQ35 series motors dont take nicely to turbo setups as well as VQ30's do, thats why in the JGTC the Nissan teams still use the VQ30's in the 350Z chassis cars, they hold up better. Even if the Charger was stock, I think it would give a good fight having a 440, allowing it to use the low end torque to move it.
First off your a fucking moron. There is one nissan Ever that had the VQ30 motor and rear wheel drive. The VG30 is garbage. And no in JGTC they have been using the 3.5 soon to be the 3.7. Plus the bigger cars and some of the 350z JGTC cars use the nissan infinity Vk45 motor. Like the Super gt GTR uses the VK45 Na motor. So dont tell me that shit.

Why do ricers like this always quit? There was another where a camaro emberassed a supra and before they even got to 30 mph he just stopped.

@crazy4baseball47 yea camaro's do not make good drift cars, big heavy long wheelbase cars arent as good as light short wheelbase cars for drifting, the biggest thing about heavy long wheelbase cars is that they cant transition as fast (huge part of good drifting) and cars like the camaro arent very well balanced for drifting (they are built for straight line racing)

@tigane1 Just because it can transition faster doesn't mean it can drift better. A more aggressive steering rack, performance shocks and body stiffening/lightening can solve those issues. Besides A high power to weight ratio is somewhat essential to doing good drifts and they do all of those things listed above to said short wheelbase lighter cars

Nissan's VG30DETT and the VQ are in drag racing cars that are mid 6 second 1/4 mile cars. Gas Motorsports 2JZ Celica runs 6.5 and 6.7 1/4 mile easy. And let's not forget Puerto Rico with alot of RWD 6 second 1/4 mile cars with 4 cylinders, 6 cylinders and rotaries. Talk about underdogs

However, what you DONT find is someone that has the testicular fortitude to take their precious muscle car out and dominate. But there ARE those cars out there. you see, Charger is raw hp, there is no super performance chips in it or w/e. is raw american muscle. the ricer is japanese crap. also there is a big difference in yrs. the charger is older and is heavier, and theres less electrical on it. the Z is light and theres 3x as much electrical on it. you have a rolling computer vs a metal machine. ricers break easily.

@minidakota318 a 1973 charger - 1973 Dodge Charger SE 440ci 0-60 in 7.4 and the 1/4 mile in 15.2. a stock 350z vs a stock 1973 charger and the Z would dominate it. a stock Z is capable of extremely low 14s or very high 13s. its not really that crazy to think a brand new car with 2 seats and decades of racing technology in it can beat what a stock 1973 charger could do. only a very few of the old muscle cars back in the day were actually "fast." most were 14 if not 15 second cars.

Well sure the charger will be more powerful because it's set up for a straight run. Unforturnately the 350Z wasn't setup for that. Now if you put the charger up against the 350Z on a road racing course, the 350Z will kick ass. You talk a lot about power in your cars but looks who's asking for help? First off, run what you brung, and thats what the 350Z did. And how do you know that 350Z was stock, are you the driver or mechanic for it? and the VQ35 series motors dont take nicely to turbo setups as well as VQ30's do, thats why in the JGTC the Nissan teams still use the VQ30's in the 350Z chassis cars, they hold up better. Even if the Charger was stock, I think it would give a good fight having a 440, allowing it to use the low end torque to move it.

First off your a fucking moron. There is one nissan Ever that had the VQ30 motor and rear wheel drive. The VG30 is garbage. And no in JGTC they have been using the 3.5 soon to be the 3.7. Plus the bigger cars and some of the 350z JGTC cars use the nissan infinity Vk45 motor. Like the Super gt GTR uses the VK45 Na motor. So dont tell me that shit.
And how do i know its stock? Well for one stock exaust, two stock wheels, three it can beat a stock charger.

Provided they were both stock. You cant tell me that charger is stock in the vid because it isnt. Second off that person driving the 350z sucks bawls at launching. Third off thats not even an 06 350z which is the stronger and higher reving motor of the 350z's.

How do you know it isn't stock? I pulled up the info for an 07' 350z from Car and Driver, so I don't even know what an 03' one does. But, I wasn't talking about THESE cars, I was just saying it would be close between a stock charger and a stock 350z

Listen thats an 03 the De tuned 350Z. I think the Rev up (06 and higher) Would give that charger a run for its money assuming its bone stock.

Now that would be a drivers race. But putting an 03 Z up against that charger that im still not convinced is stock isnt even a fair race. I hate when people just put vids up of import cars vs domistic when the imports are stock and not even in the same bracket.
The fact of the matter is, No matter what imports will never get the respect they deserve from the old muscle guys or the young redneck kids. True tuners respect anything that is built to run and is hella quick.

Ok, its like this for me. Yes, I am a muscle car guy. No, I am not a redneck. However, I also like Tuners. What I DON'T like are Lambo's and Ferrari's. Status Symbols for the rich. I much perfer the regular cars you make fast yourself. But I agree with you. Arguments between domestic and imports are pointless unless ur talking stock vs stock or mod vs mod. Both tuner and muscle fans make videos to discredit the other. I like tuners and muscle cars, there's no reason it has to be one or the other

And yeah i say screw lambo ferrarri all them except porches. Yes they ARE status cars but they are cheaper, look good, and are just MEAN. That aside like i said before i was planning on buying a 06 GTO till it had way to many probs i could feel when driving. So i got my g35 4dr. And now i have a KA-T I just wish imports could get respect. People asked us to get hondas to do low numbers all motor? We did it! They said we couldnt touch them in boost vs boost and we do. Why cant the others see it?
