What colander did you use, where did you get it, how much did you pay? I can't find it anywhere and I want to make this as a project for welding class.
Thanks for the info. I have been using a cast irin pan and a heat gun. I would like to copy your desighn. Do you have any advise on where to purchase green coffee in bulk ? I have been buying mine 15 pounds at a time on ebay and would like to try to purchase in larger quanities and share with my friends. They still drink Folgers when they aren't sponging off me ! Great background music as well. Live long and be Blessed my friend !
@carvinrigged There is a coffee broker or two on every big city. Contact them directly. Some may hesitate to sell to a home roaster, but tell them you are an aspiring coffee house business owner and want to experiment with some batches. Coffee brokers, will sell at market price. 3 to 5 $'s a pound right now. The people on Ebay are buying from brokers.
Great ideas you have, thanks! The coffee roaster is on my project list, I may opt for a simple hand crank mechanism though. While searching the web for unroasted beans, I realized that this option will cost me 1/2 of what I normally spend and provide my family with FRESH coffee (also gifts and possible income at the local farmers market). What are your thoughts on length of storage time for unroasted beans? Thanks again.
This is AWESOME!!! Great, now that I found your channel, I will be stuck on your channel for days!!! Great job! Wow!! thank rodneyahampton for letting me know about you!
And pwindahl, I have some law experience, so get back to me about this lawsuit, maybe I can get ya 10 years of free roasting (my cut will be 55% dont forget :)
nice machine but i would use it to roast peanuts!,as for coffee?, freeze dried is my favorite, most fresh brewed taste oily and bitter to me ,columbian black beans the worst i ever tried,YUCK!
This is a very compelling and thorough photo montage. But, if I'm not mistaken, you've forgotten to put my name on the credits. That was MY grill in the staring role, Yank.

@apagoogoo There is no toxicity issue and you do not have to wait any length of time to use the beans. I am my own local roaster.

I need to build one of these and give it a try. Thanks for sharing.

@MrKotosh As far as I understand dried green coffee beans are good for decades as long as they are kept dry in the dark.
