well i bought all my stuff off ebay so i got sub for $345 and my amp which is the RE XT4000DE for $245 but im replacing that amp with a US Amps MD3D that I just bought off ebay. The only downfall of my purchase is that the sub is a Dual 1 ohm so i need an amp that puts out around 1500 rms at 2 ohms. The cost of my whole setup including labor, box, and wiring came out to $1200. If i would have payed retail from an RE dealer i would have spent close to $2300.

Yeah I love TC Sounds stuff... Even there lower end stuff, like I have a TC2+ 15" and that thing hits hard in only 2 cubes sealed. My TC-2000 isn't anywhere near the top sub TC made and it hits harder than any sub I've ever owned or heard.

Any TC Sounds sub with an LMS coil is ganna take a lot of power though. If that's what your planning to get your ganna need some serious amps. TC-2000's and TC-3000's are more suited for car audio stuff. LMS 5400's or TC-5200's are just too big to fit.

Naw these surrounds just do that. Its because the excursion causes the circle to change, thus part of the surround bows in like that. Its designed to save cone space. Honestly if you ask me, it doesn't do much for cone space though... I have a TC-2000 15" that has the half roll surround(like most subs have), and its got 28 mm xmax. My bro has a LMS 12", and it has the high surround, same size surround, same xmax. Only difference is his is a 12" and mine is a 15", as far as surrounds go.
