i'm from austria so i'm not sure too if i understand everything right but i think he's talking about the shirt that actually said "i'm a fan". and he couldn't see the "a" and thought the shirt says "i'm fat"!

A "scratch and sniff" is a type of sticker. You scratch it and it gives off a particular smell, like a candy smell or something. Jon just means that some fans get a bit too close, as if they think he is a "scratch and sniff" sticker.

I think "coach" = the economy seats at the back of the plane.
