  • some day we all will be equal and I can't wait to get married to my girlfriend here in michigan ...

  • thumbs up if you like Same Sex Marriage is an Equal Human Right Larry King Live | USA Federal Lawsuit

  • Same-sex marriage will someday be as commonplace as interracial marriage.

  • let me quote Whoopi Goldburg (sp?) "if you dont like gay marriage then dont marry a gay"

  • Marriage (gay or straight) is not a civil right. Show me where that is in the Constitution. Tell me where the claim of civil rights is coming from.

Marriage is a social, religious, cultural ceremony. Why does the government even marry people at all? It is not a delegated power.

  • exactly where is, in the american constitution, marriage defined as a right??

  • @fbi10 Well, it's not in the American Constitution, but neither are things like "Americans need water", but that's pretty obvious, isn't it? No one would (rationally, anyway) say "Americans don't need water, because it's not in the Constitution".

  • @shmuli9 actually no, that isn't obvious but was "obvious" is that it isn't a right...water is something we need to live off of, marriage, however, is not...it's a privilege that comes with certain benefits. That's not the same thing, nice try.

  • @fbi10 A "priviledge" is something like driving... A "right" is something rather basic, like cooking, breathing, and having the same laws regardless of colour, sex, or sexual orientation. Oh, and instead of saying "nice try", aren't you required by law online to say something incredibly witty, like "fail"? :-)

  • @shmuli9 marriage is no right...never has been and never will be. A right is defined by our constitution and our declaration. The issue of gay marriage has to do with state benefits not some sort of artificial right. Cooking is something you learn, breathing is something natural and known of these weak examples are required with some state benefit. No, i am not "required" to say anything of sorts...

  • @fbi10 Oh, yopu mean the same Constitution that says ":all men are created equal", but they actually literally meant MEN (you know, white men who were landowners?)... I'm QUITE sure there will be an Amendment to "our Constitution" in the same way that there have been other civil right amendments (it's funny they even had to have been made - "land of equality?" yeah, right) have been made, like setting non-white people free or letting women vote...

  • @shmuli9 ...what federalist paper states the reason by "all men created equal" means white men?? Please provide that evidence...which founding father said it? Marriage is a state issue not a federal however if they do choose to go that way, so be it. You are quiet racist with this bullshit of an argument that holds no water...this isn't a race issue or anything of sorts. Now again, what part of the constitution states that marriage is a right...is it next to the "right to an abortion", eh? LMAO!

  • @fbi10 Do you deny (it's quite findable) that black (men) - or as they were called then "Negers" - were considered 3/5 of a human to appease slaveowners, so they could use all those votes as 'their' votes? I'm not particularly racist, though everyone (in fact, I'm guessing quite a bit less than most people) is somewhat 'racist'. "Bullshit of an argument"? I'll check, but that points to a non-native English speaker, as it makes no sense... But at least you know terms like "LOL" and "LMAO"

  • @shmuli9 my god...you are in your 40's and you cant construct a proper sentence??? You are one ignorant fool...lets start with the 3/5th compromise. They didnt consider blacks as 3/5ths of a white person you fool. This was all due to the representation in the house. The number of Representatives that each state had in Congress was based on the state's population. The south wanted to count the slaves as 1 so they can get more power but the north said hell no, if you dont treat them as equal to u

  • @fbi10 What ARE you talking about? Hmm... It seems it was "U" who typed "U" (not constructing a 'proper sentence'... does anyone over 18 even DO that?) Plus, one doesn't use terms like "ignorant fool", "fool", or "drone". Oh wait, this is YouTube; one can say ANYTHING on here [rolling eyes]. But really, if you want to disagree with me, do it politely (oh, I forgot; politeness "isn't something to do anymore", so I guess I can can you a "silly cow".) Also, I didn't say WHO

  • @shmuli9 right, because spelling you "u" isn't constructing a proper sentence...very informative of U LMAO!!!! Yes, ONE can use terms like "ignorant fool" if the shoe fits and in this case...it does. No it's not that i disagree with you, even though i do, but your arguments are so terribly constructed that they don't make sense at the end of the day. I already proved you wrong but please provide a rebuttal addressing what i stated if not, silly cow, go read a book...

  • @fbi10 Well, actually not... I still don't quite understand (but then, I'm not a troll, so how WOULD I know?) how "I'm not able to construct a proper (who SAYS "proper" in that sense?) sentence"? Also (again, I'm not a troll, so it makes no sense to me) if you say "I'm in my 40s", why are you calling me a child?

  • @shmuli9 so you can't do your own research and figure out the actual history as to how they came up with the 3/5th?? Also, keep in mind, you haven't given a rebuttal and now it is YOU who is trolling, not I.

Man, you are a child LMAO!!!

  • @fbi10 I've heard "man, I feel like a woman", butr never "man, you are a child LMAO" :-) Though I'm amused "tho nawt serprighzd" that you STILL haven't answered MY question of "where did I construct a bad sentence"?

  • @fbi10 Oh, never mind... I just looked; of COURSE a non-native English speaker would say such things. I bow down before you in awe and wonder how you let me live... :-) (In English,. that's called 'sarcasm'.)

  • @shmuli9 ...so you can't rebuttal anything at all?? you are just worried and insecure becuase now someone said that you can't write a proper english sentence??? Why don't you go back to the topic and rebuttal what i said...unless you agree??

  • @fbi10 I can''t "rebuttal"? How amusing... Do you mean "rebut"? Really, write Spanish if you must...

  • @shmuli9 no, you can't provide a rebuttal ?? do you know what rebuttal means?? in debate? yes or no?

when did i say i speak Spanish? Please copy and paste.... :)

if not, then i take it you give up...

  • @fbi10 Oh, I'm only going by your profile, which says you are from Spain, and SURELY you wouldn't lie about where you live, would you? I mean, if you did lie about something so basic, you'd lie about anything... Yes, I know what a rebuttal is... Tell me what to "rebut"...

  • @shmuli9 so apparently you can't READ either....

It says FRANCE not spain...why are you lying?? hmmmm

So you agree with the facts i stated about the 3/5th compromise??

  • @fbi10 So it does say France, but it's not LYING. For instance, people who thought the world was flat weren't LYING; they were just wrong. Same with thinking that flies spontaneously generated from waste. Why, of course I agree with the "facts" you stated. I'd believe ANYTHING you said, because it must be true. So, please tell me I have a million euros in my bank account. :-)

  • @shmuli9 "I'm only going by your profile, which says you are from Spain, and SURELY you wouldn't lie about where you live, would you? "

    LOL!!! You lied...

I didn't ask for you believe what i said. I asked you and i'll ask you again : Why didn't you try to argue your point?? You gave up after i provided you with facts?? That's all i am asking....If my points aren't true then refute my points...

  • @fbi10 You didn't answer MY question... (But I understand, some people never do; they like to obfuscate... (Look that word up in your dictionary...)

  • @shmuli9 and what question would that be?

You've dodged most of my questions all along....LOL!!!!

  • @fbi10 IMAGINE that... We were JUST talking about you... "LOL"... :-) And how one, after determining someone is a troll (you know, someone who posts comments on the Internet designed to evoke an emotional repsonse, which is a substitute for sex for "trolls", sort of like chocolate for some women), one should NEVER respond to them, so I won't anymore...

  • @shmuli9 No YOU were talking about me, YOU brought all this up. I made one little comment and you get all emotional...haha!!

ahhh so you gave up because you couldn't troll me LMAO!!! interesting...

    Yes move along little weakling...

  • @fbi10 You two need to get a room.

  • @davidls11 no, we don't LOL!!!

  • @shmuli9 so instead of trying to debate politics, you are more concerned how you appear to a complete stranger?? (language wise...) You never asked me for an example or maybe i am mistaken on that....

your sentences are too heavy...you can't separate on thought from another...

"I'll check, but that points to a non-native English speaker, as it makes no sense... But at least you know terms like "LOL" and "LMAO"

-and what exactly is your problem with a "non-native" english speaker?

  • @fbi10 I don't have a problem at ALL with a non-native English speaker, but I DO have a problem with a non-native English speaker (or a non-native speaker of ANY language) who #1 says I can't speak my native language (oh, and I've only been speaking it MY WHOLE LIFE) and #2 people who THINK they can speak English, but say things like "your sentences are too heavy" and "on thought".

  • @shmuli9 apparently you do...

#1 i never said that you CAN'T speak english. Saying that you have poorly written a sentence is another thing...

#2 I don't THINK, i KNOW i can speak english very well and yes saying your sentences are "heavy" or "loaded" is fact...sorry you can't handle the criticism

  • @fbi10 You speak/write English very well, but not perfectly, and certainly not well enough to say a native speaker doesn't speak English well...

  • @shmuli9 Actually no, i speak and write perfectly and in fact, when it comes down to it, i speak/write better than you....

and what makes you think i am not a native speaker??

  • @fbi10 Well, most people in France AREN'T native English speakers (you know, maybe 0.5%, so STATISTICALLY that wouldn't be common, though of course it's possible...)

  • @shmuli9 actually there are more native english speakers than you think that come from england, america, and very few from Australia. But again, why do you assume i am not a native english speaker?

  • @fbi10 Oh, also, you wrote "rebuttal" for "rebut". THAT alone points to the fact you're not a native speaker...

  • @shmuli9 no that points a mistake LOL!!! wow...

  • @shmuli9 they came to a conclusion that they would count the slave population as 3/5th. This was all because of of representation and taxation, you drone.

    Go back to school....

  • @fbi10 made the 3/5 rule ("North" or "South"); I just said it existed, objectively, like "2 + 2 = 4". Why DID you bring the North/South debate into it, hmm? And looking again, guess what [laughing], I can construct a "proper sentence". Can you? [Eye meen, "yew kan 2?"] Silly troll...

  • @shmuli9 because that is part of history and as to why this compromise was created. I didn't bring a debate about north and south but stated fact that this was due to representation in the house between northern and southern states. Learn your history, and go back to school, child...

  • Then the proposition is biased to polyamory groups since marriage is not allowed for group love like threesomes.

  • Well if religion is so important on this issue. How come Israel, THE STATE OF ISRAEL, and with it JERUSALEM already recognizes gay marriages performed abroad. What message does it send for a country to call itself "The Land of the Free" and fall behind places like Portugal, Argentina and South Africa. Canada has had gay marriage for years and will continue to have gay marriage, there is absolute no trend against it in Canada. The ENTIRE NATION of MEXICO recognizes gay marriage. LOL

  • America is so behind. they gave the right of same sex Marriage then took it away by vote. Its so stupid...its like asking people "Should black people get married" and made people vote for it.

    Talk about freedom eh?

if they didnt gave the right to start with, its one thing, but to give it then take it away....its just STUPID!!

    PROUD TO BE CANADIAN.

  • @ThePlayboii88

rather go into war with other countries fighting for freedom of right. shouldn't American give the right to people in its own country first? lol

  • @ThePlayboii88 haha you got it totally right about the USA. And I think it would be more romantic in Canada, but that´s cos I live here in Spain and have never been in Canada. Such a beautiful country Canada...

  • I feel bad for the USA. Happy to live in Spain. Since 2005 we have gay marriage.

  • @sanyrub

im Canadian & my lover is from Spain. we are thinking about getting married in Spain.

i think it more romantic there ;)

  • @ThePlayboii88 Faggot...

  • @TheMedievalMan SURELY you can come up with a LOGICAL reason for not supporting gay marriuage. Only 12 year olds would resort to name-calling "as an argument"... You CAN present a logical reason, can't you?

  • @shmuli9 Sure... Marriage is meant to unite the female and male halves of humanity. The only reason why people are supporting "gay marriage", is because we have a minority of people who are born with a dysfunctional part of the brain which controls sexual attraction. This is proven scientifically, and I have accepted that queers are born different. However, the queer agenda is behind a philosophy that if you cant fix it, then we might as well embrace it as "normal". Being gay is NOT normal.

  • @TheMedievalMan Well, if YOU say so (are you a respected neurologist?), it must be true. (There is something in the brain, true, but as only 10% of people are left-handed, THAT'S 'not normal' either.) Sort of like if you say "the earth is flat" it must be true... :-)

  • @shmuli9 Are you a neurologist? If not, then STFU. I love it when people bring up credentialism to try and prove their point, when they have no point to make. Its obvious to anyone that they are not normal. The brain is not given the appropriate amount of hormones due to an abnormality in the development process. Kind of like how cleft lips are not formed correctly. Its called common sense, something which YOU lack. Ask me how the theory of left handed people comes from, I know that too.

  • @TheMedievalMan "STFU"? What, are you, 12? (It's so incredibly mature and adds immensely in one's favour if one swears - oh wait, you should also say "yer jist jellis", to fit a stereotype.) I'm glad "you love it when people bring up credentialism"? Um, didn't *I* ask YOU if YOU were a neurologist? Oh, look, I did... Actually, I WOULD be interested in hearing where you think left-handed peoiple come from, but since the world will end in a few hours [har har], I'm not sure if you have time.

  • I am so glad to be Canadian right now...gay marriage is legal here. It's unfortunate Americans are so behind.

  • Americans are so UPTIGHT About everything! Gay marriage included its just how they are. I dont live there but feel sorry for anyone thats gay that does. Its so backward and behind the times. I think they should focus more on the Trillions of dollars of debt, the high unemployment and crumbling infrastructure as they have bigger problems in their country besides gay marriage

  • I find it ironic that, should Perry be successfully litigated (and I hold Olson and Boies in high esteem), then those 7 million Californians who voted yes on Proposition 8 also voted yes on same-sex marriage in the U.S.

  • Up here in Canada we've had Gay Marriage for years now, and guess what, our country hasn't descended into the flames of hell. Things are actually kinda good up here.

Even those people who opposed Gay Marriage realize that its no real huge change to their lives, in fact it is no change whatsoever to their lives at all. They're not affected.

    What's the problem?

  • @ccheng21 The porblem is Americans are retarded.

(I knoew problem is misspelled, I left it there to be funny)

    (Now I noticed 'knoew' lol)

  • EXACTLY! It's weird to be obsessed with an issue that doesn't affect you at all.

  • @ccheng21 I agree completely. First of all if it doesnt affect you why do you care and doesnt everyone deserve to be happy and equal under the law? I live in Canada too and am appalled that this issue is still SO divisive in the US

  • @ccheng21

Toronto now has highest amount of gay in all of north America because of their rights.

    they are accepted...

    proud to be Canadian

  • @ccheng21 Your country is the work of the devil.

  • @TheMedievalMan dude ur fucking retarded

  • @elc131 Dude, go surfing by the sea lions, and get yourself eating by Jaws dude, peace dude!

  • @ccheng21 Yeah but the stupid faggots will descend into the flames of hell.......

  • @mikeyrobins022585 can you prove that?

  • R u a mormon or an on-the-down-low Christian?!

  • @ccheng21 You mean, gay marriage didn't make droves and droves of people in heterosexual marriages get divorced? :-) Next, you'll say something unbelieveable like "humans need oxygen" or "Toronto is in Ontario", or something equally as obviously silly...

  • If you actually understood English, you would realize that the Supreme Court refused to hear the case. That does not mean that the Court would reject the plaintiff's case, it simply means that the Court did not believe the case was fit to be discussed in the Supreme Court.

  • this is not just any dismissal. A "dismissal for want of a substantial federal question" is a decision on the merits that is binding in cases like Mandel and Hicks. they clearly outline that summary decisions are in fact decisions on the merits that are binding on all lower FEDERAL courts.

Thus, the same-sex union as a constitutional right argument was so frivolous as to merit dismissal without further review by the Supreme Court rather than just refusing to hear the case altogether

  • USA cannot qualify as a true democracy. At best, it is a bi-party, partially democratic quasi-autocracy, with an overwhelmingly powerful figurehead.

  • whoo... if i wasn't alone... i'd be clapping

  • Great men! :)

  • Wow, finally we have 2 people from different political persuasions agreeing that not giving gays the right to marry is a threat to the rights of ALL Americans! 5 Stars!

  • Wow this is awesome.

  • What! 18 000 are given special privileges? How absurd. So in America, everyone is equal, but 18 000 are more equal than others. Disgusting. America sucks! Just give people their fricken rights - sheesh, man! Why the hell create an Orwellian distopia in the middle of a 21st century democracy?
