They made you sad to see them go, but it made you happy with the opening of Generations. And then there was a problem... The rest of the movie sucked.
Lets Make sure that History Never Forgets the name Enterprise: Picard Out. she was a fine ship and she went on a few more missions before being decomissioned and for me she should have been a Muesum ship so that future Generations could see just how incredible the U.S.S. ENTERPRISE NCC-1701-A WAS
@willsco76 i didnt cry but it sure was a downer . i remember thinking didnt they still have 3 months left ?i also thought because of what kirk said that the enterprise A would get a new crew
"Captain's log, stardate 9529.1. This is the final cruise of the starship Enterprise under my command. This ship and her history will shortly become the care of another crew. To them and their posterity will we commit our future. They will continue the voyages we have begun and journey to all the undiscovered countries, boldly going where no man, where no one, has gone before." - Capt. James Tiberius Kirk.
"This is the final cruise of the starship Enterprise under my command. This is probably the only other time besides the second film where I cry a little. You hate to see it end, but it's so powerful and when the signatures appear I always salute. And Spock's quip always lightens up the moment. What a perfect ending to such an epic saga.
Undiscovered country was the first proper star trek film i ever saw at the pictures when i was a kid most were just the repeats on TV, i genuinly got goosebumps when the Enterprise and Excelsior 'rode off into the sunset'
ok i know it was only the enterprise but it still looked ace

@TheDEATHSTARIII I think Kirk meant the Enterprise legacy.

@TheDEATHSTARIII Enterprise was probably dismantled. The class of ship was outdated, and her hull had been pummeled with Torpedos.
