  • I figured as much :) these tutorials are boss...

  • salsa dance

  • I love how even though his shoes are loud, they go with the beat so well ...

  • @JulyzS0R3kl3SS haha thanks. the loudness of my shoes are due to the nature of the floor. don't try to emulate those sounds cuz you'll have to practically stomp the floor to make them.

  • Bro, ur tutorials are amazing!!!

  • Can someone give me the name of the song!!!

  • this is so sick! thanks for the intructional my friend.

  • Damn this move is so hard :3 But Thanks to you JardySantiago :D U are helping us house dancers a lot

  • Fuck man , I trie but I can't do it ..

  • 22 people are rockers...

  • I think this style originated from drunken dance floor boogies ...

  • Help me Jardy! I can't dance house!!!

  • only reason y i started house dancing is to add more footwork to my toprock, but man i am starting to get that "house feel" when i do it and loving it..if it wasn't for your tutorial, i wouldn't even make the first step to think outside of the box and rock to the rythmn of the beat...my dance used to be so technical that it didnt look like i enjoyed dancing...and now i'm confident and grooving...thanx man

  • Thats sick son !

  • I appreciate you sharing your interpretation of house moves. Its all love and many of us find your videos helpful. Those that don't can keep it moving = house music is love, yet some of these responses don't represent that love. Instead, they represent haterism. Shame on y'all!

  • Thank you sooooo much. I haven't danced house in 12 years & forgot almost everything. THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU

  • some work out!

  • Definitley helped. I'll be checkin out your other dance tutorials as soon as i get a good feeling for this one. Thank you!

  • Jardy Thx for this man !!!

  • I'm getting to take LA's house scene to another level THANKS TO JARDY!

  • Look at you guys. Speaking of knowing what real house dancing is. Talking about how Jardy is labeling something without a label.

    You all reek of arrogance.

Jardy, you have given me an introduction to a form of dance that has always escaped my grasp. Do I claim to be a house dancer? Hell no. But with what you've taught me, now I'll be able to ride the beat and actually develop and improve myself instead of fumbling around and feeling hopelessly lost in the rhythm.

I thank you with all my being.

  • @niceguylogic No matter what, ya gotta strut! :0)

  • @niceguylogic

"Look at you guys. Speaking of knowing what real house dancing is."

I commented on this video a while ago, personally. But check it out -- as of today there hasn't been a single video uploaded to this channel bearing the keywords "house dance" in many months. Why is that? It's a passing fad is what. While the real deal kick the shit out of the dancefloors in clubs every week without putting a label to this thing, those that do aren't anywhere to be found.

  • @Proton1

"..there hasn't been a single video uploaded to this channel bearing the keywords "house dance" in many months. "

I must correct I meant uploaded to ALL of Youtube, not merely this channel.

  • @niceguylogic you're a lame mother fucker haha

  • I don't know why people always have to leave negative comments. Jardy is trying to teach the steps. House dance is a form of dance believe it or not and it has its own steps. Its a combination of hip hop, Jazz, Salsa, Tap &...its foundation is a move called jerking. It was originated from the Hip Hop dancers who were kicked out of clubs because of fights. House dance is about the feeling but so is every other dance!!! feeling the music is not gonna get you anywhere if you don't know the steps!!

  • Can you tell me the name of the song ?

  • Thanks for your help ! (Y)

  • I am determined to learn some house for once. it really isnt easy but i'm gonna try my best. thanks for uploading tutorials, i really appreciate it

  • you are a dam good dancer buddy could you give me some house tracks? :)

  • hey whats up man im loving these tutorials i was wondering if you can recommend me so nice house tracks please and thank you .

  • @ArtisticDemension Kerri Chandler. Look him up.

  • i cannot beleive how technical you can be and still pull it off, u have it down to a science without looking bad. when i dance i cant explain it! u can do it and its with precision :)

  • hey u r nicE keep it up!! plzz chek my channel... leave coments, subscribE! :-)

  • Ok for everyone that thinks they know about house music and its culture, Yes obviosly this music is dancing how it makes you feel, there is no "right way to do it" but for people that don't know how to dance they have to learn the basics so they can express themselves better. It would be like you don't need to practice painting or art because it's how you feel. You obviously have to, to express yourself better. Another example is like saying you dont have to practice dance moves to freestyle....

  • nice kicks !!

  • Stop giving the man such a hard time. No need to be an asshole about "how long you've been in the game".

You're destroying the art of dancing. Just let him teach people that want to dance.

To whoever is giving him a hard time, you're just an asshole that won't allow the happiness spread across the earth. Fuck, house dancing is about letting it flow and feeling. So let him flow and feel.

  • wish i could take your classes but i dont live in th us :(

  • jo ^^ what is the name of this song in background please tell me i want this

  • @abernard538

I thought House is where i live?

  • imma get this downnnn ! might take me awhile but imma get it down :)

  • I learned from watching others. Then over 15 yr period. Now have freaking dance class for house and drum and BAss.

  • Thanks for the lesson that's cooooooool !!!

  • aw man, i remember going to my first house dance classes and this was one of the mid - class routine. i was so overwhelmed

  • Thanks alot for the videos!...Since i dont live on the West Coast i can at least see your videos...awesome job so easy to follow TY AGAIN!

  • u r my teacher. tnx lot of guy

  • Thanks jardy for giving everyone who needs it some ''tools'' to play with.. sure house is a feelin.. but for those of us who aren't blessed with natural skills:P it's helpfull to have something to work with.. thats were jardy comes in.. he can give people something to work with in order to find there own flow.. cuz its pretty hard to for people like me to just dance and all of the sudden a awesome move like loose legs pops out :P .. no I need to have some basics in order to create my own flow

  • luv your tutorial!!very helpful!!! thaaaaaanks!!peace!!!

  • Is this the same move as 'Yeah 3X' 1:45 - 1:47 ?

  • tight i can incorporate this into bboying

  • i like the way you teach house dance. i've been watching a lot of your house dance videos, you make it simple and easy to learn the movements. i wish i was in living in the Bay area just so i could go to your dance lessons. Keep on House!

  • this is my favorite house move :D

  • I find it funny that people stick to the statement that "house is a feeling" or that "dance can't be taught." It's about expanding the way that your body moves, adding new ideas that your body may not have come up with on its own. Then maybe you can use the 'feeling' to modify it or let your body go off on it's own tangent. There's nothing wrong with expanding your vocabulary of movement. Great lesson, I appreciate it.

  • You've got so much swag, Jardy

  • the music in this is more of a tribal house, so the dance moves being taught here lean more towards a spanish vibe. still very good teaching. but anyone who has enough patience to watch this at home should get up and hit the club scene. just feel it!

  • @ Klined you lucky basterd we didn't have youtube in 1991 but i still pulled girls at raves just was a bit harder not being able to dance lol..

  • Jardy thank you so much.Crazy thing is I emailed E joe on his site to ask to teach me this foundation move just tonight ! Then I find your video on the first try. I am going to practice this every night . I am 38 years old and back when I first saw house dancing in 1991 I loved it but could never manage that foundation step that your teaching here! Now I have the chance to live out my dream! Thank you so much. One day I will dance in public and feel free like I all ways dreamed of.

  • Love this tutorial. You make it soooo plain & simple. Keep teaching. Add the song name as well. "House music all night long"

  • this is the easiest to learn after watch several tutorial.. thumbs up :D

  • i'm feelin it bro!!! much love and respect from Guam

  • lol guys! just listen to something you can feel, and just let it flow. nothing really looks "bad" in house dancing, as long as you're not trying to act like it's disco or like you're a backstreet boy. just have fun with it and keep dancing, eventually you'll get your own unique style! and remember, don't let haters influence you either, cause that's what they want. :)

  • its so difficulttt! lmao

  • yo what's the song you used?

  • hi whats the the track in the background ??? love the vids really helping . :)

  • (Ok, last one, hahaha) To finish, i would like to say that because of your tutorials i am learning house through your particular style and it's marking deeply my impression of house. I've become your follower and am promoting your videos to every friend that likes to dance! Maybe its a pay back from life for you posting them for free, haha. You've become to me an example of house dancer, as in style as in philosophy.

Well, maybe i am asking much, but please post more tutorials! haha. tks anyway

  • @thdrmr IM A PIONEER VIP HOUSE HEAD ,,,,YESSS HOUSE IS A FEELING FRM WHATS IN SIDE EXPRESSED THROUGH DYNAMIC MOVES,,, IM 43 YEARS , I LE IS ME = HOUSE

  • I'm really impressed with the quality of these tutorials so nicely posted here to help the begginers in house. I am a bboy, but hurted my right wrist some time ago and got to settle down the break for a while. I discovered house and started to practice, but it were so hard to find good tutorials on youtube... I'm really glad with yours, they are the very best! Along with your dancing videos, they are awakening in me a true desire to dance house, maybe i can say as strong as my love for break.

  • Hello, Jardy. Greetings from Brazil!

Man, first I'd like to thank you so much for these videos. I'm amazed with them, because they were so well done and were posted here for free anyway. I've got to know some professional dancers and other (how can i say... my english sucks) streets artists, and i know a little bit how difficult it is to get your living from this art. But all the true lovers of dance and other arts keep sharing their treasure for free sometimes. That's inspiring to me.

  • Also....how long have you been dancing to house?

  • Wow................ I used to do this at Killamanjaros and "The Red Zone" about 17 years ago.... Still keepin it alive. Since your young.. I'm wondering if you learned this from E? Cause this is the style that we all used to do back in the day. But, this is "E" that teaches this in his studio in NYC.

  • I use house moves in footwork for my popping. Haha. These are amazing tutorials. :)

  • Learned this in a few minutes and I loved it soo much that I wanna combine this in bboying for top rock

  • One word - Subscribed !

  • oh man, this looks so cool. is it alright to use this for toprock?

  • Man you gotta dip that albo in when you forward then spin when you come back......that's how I used to get it back in the day.

  • ronaldinho :D

  • what the song ?

  • Housing when used with top rocking is so sick.

  • is he drunk?

  • @panqkee obviously u are! ;)

  • sick move

  • Awesome moves! Im gonna learn this, even if it kills me :D

  • I find the this the coollest house move, buttt I just can't control it lol

  • You got off in the cypher last night fam.

  • NY house is a better feeling ;) jusssst kidding =)

  • awesome

  • Alright for all the ppl below me i really hate to tell you this, but honestly house music is just not something that can be taught it is a feeling, easiest way to learn is probably to do your basic 1 2 step do that to the beat and see where your body takes you from there

  • @abernard538 dawg these are house dance moves. I think the whole world knows by now that house is a feeling. All dance is a feeling. Even doin the robot is a feeling. You're 21 and you're male. You're just starting to get a grasp of what you're feeling. Now for those people who already understand all that, adding a couple of actual house dance moves - yes there are such things as official house dance moves - won't hurt. It's all good fun, man. Go do your thing and everyone else will do theirs.

  • @JardySantiago nicely said, I agree 100%. Thanks for sharing your videos man! They are DOPE!

    Peace

  • @JardySantiago lol wooorddd. i need somewhere to start lol and jardy helpin me out here, so i dont look like a fool.

  • @abernard538

I felt you on this! "That's where Jackin' and all of that came from!" House.... is def. TO.....BE....FELT!!!! MOVES ARE TRANSFORMED WITH INDIVIDUALITY! YOU SHOULD NOT LOOK LIKE ANYONE BUT YOURSELF. :)

  • @JardySantiago

"yes there are such things as official house dance moves"

I've been in the house scene for 25 years, 2.5 times the amount you've been exposed to it. "House dance" is a fiction created by tourists to our underground, namely b-boys who invade our floors and shuffle around a bit until they decide they don't fit in. There's the true underground where the dance is shapeless; nameless, and then there's "house dance." Find yourself the true underground.

  • @Proton1 Let me begin by giving respect where it's due; 25 years, you were there when the scene was growing. I respect your culture, believe me, I do. I'm not here to commercialize the dance - I make no money from this - but at the same time, I can't possibly share something that is shapeless and nameless. I've been to small underground parties in NY. When I did, I vibed and I did what the locals did. These moves are merely a stepping stone for those who can't experience that underground.

  • @JardySantiago thanks jardy ur tutorial is really tight. yea feeling and all that good stuff, but basics are basics. like u can't just FEEL kung fu. its an ancient art developed by masters. u learn it, and put a twist on it to make it ur own. Bruce Lee dint create jeet kune do out of no where, he had to learn the basics of wing chun and other types of martial arts before that. so yea

  • @JardySantiago

I've been going to underground warehouse raves for years now, and actually, I have much more fun if I don't do what the "locals" do (of course I'm one of them 2), but I just free-flow with the music until I'm the visualisation off the music.

    I don't think when I dance, I don't hear when I dance, I don't see when I dance and most importantly I don't CARE when I dance.

You'll just see me moving around with my eyes closed and a grin spanning my whole face, that's all ;)

  • @Proton1 Dude, stop being so uptight. Though I do understand what you're saying and respect that you have been around for that long and agree that there's no official dancing for house music, there's nothing wrong with doing some gimmicky dances and molding it into your own. You should just appreciate that people are embracing house music and appreciate it for what it is. There's no wrong or right way to dance to house.

  • @Proton1 "B-boys who invade our floors and shuffle around..." You obviously have NO knowledge of b-boying so leave b-boys out of it. Doesn't matter if you've been in the "SCENE" for 25 years or 500 years if you have no respect for other dancers and cultures what have you learned?

  • @Proton1 - I've been in the house club scene at LEAST as long (if not longer than you). My brother is a legendary House music DJ/producer and I personally know most of the gods of house music and was there in the clubs when they were just coming up - Red Zone, 10-18, Tunnel, Limelight, Sound Factory, Mars, Palladium, Shelter (pre-Vinyl), Flamingo East, etc.

Cetain house dancing moves existed BACK THEN, so what are you talking about? Maybe not the 70s and early 80s, buy by mid 80s onward, yes.

  • @JardySantiago Ppl don't understand House is about Love and Peace, and u have to vibe with the beat

  • @abernard538 you're right

  • @abernard538 Writting is also a feeling but you need to know the language to be able to express it. This great series of tutorials just gives you more vocabulary to take the feeling from your imagination to expression.

  • @abernard538 Writing is also a feeling but you need to know the language to be able to express it. This great series of tutorials just gives you more vocabulary to take the feeling from the imagination in your head to expression in your body.

  • @abernard538 - Ignorance. Sheer ignorance, probably fueled by a weed high.

And a pointless comment other than to garner some kind of back patting sympathy for spouting the age old platitude about house being "a feeling". We all know the song, genius. Sigh..

House dancing is an ARTFORM with specific steps that have evolved over the years.

There's jacking, lofting, footwork and many other elements and influences that go into it.

Just ask Brooklyn Terry, Caleaf Sellers, etc.

  • Hi awesome work :) I'm going to learn all that stuff thanks a lot :D

But there's a dance i can't figure out and I find it amazing could you make a vid for it ? :D /watch?v=twqM56f_cVo

  • awesome tutorial cheers dude

  • AWESOME R U FILIPINO

  • Wish we could get you over to Ireland for some workshops! :D

  • That helps break the variation down, I saw this step on a house tutorial with Caleaf Sellers, but he did not break it down this far to do this step, and I like the soft vocals at the end of the video.

    Thank you
