Nice work Steve. Wrap not as good as glueing plexy on all sides, 1/4" cntr slit top, 1/8" slit bottom. Marine Goo adhiesive NO silicone. Every leak is efficiency loss. Cold test ok, but hot test more real as when driving. Run cell until stable temp (~170F), say 30-60 min. Current will almost double (w/o PWM) when hot so start around 10-15 amps & add small SoH for max current. Alternator may petter out near 30 amps (<13V will not charge batt). Run HHO hose out window until test time. Have fun.
Thanks for the advice. I am torn between a closed series cell like you mentioned or a closed dry cell. At any rate I gotta test this like you said & get it installed. Once I get it in my truck, then I can make other cells and just swap them out.
Again thanks for the tips on testing. I appreciate that.
Efficiency data looks best with a dry cell, but you can improve a series wet cell by enclosing cell. I have my 8x8 SS plates on order for dry cell. Drooling at chance to change my hho experience into an HHO experience. ;>) PS: my brother is big exec with big oil company. He will eat my HHO dust.
I have been trying to find an online source where I can order ss plates but am finding it hard. If you order them online can you post the link in a pm? If not no problem.
Online have found 2x3ft 304L for around $50, 316L for about $200. Then you still need shop to cut and drill. I tried just drilling 304, I wont try that again. I have found it easiest to deal with local metal shop. 13 plates, 8x8, 22 ga, 304L SS. Total approx 6 sq ft. Search YT for Drycell, but Smartscarecrow has some of the best vids on this topic. He da man.
I used some 304L for straps on my 316 plates with horrible results....made the water very brown. Perhaps I did not get correct information on the type SS it was, but as it was free, it's hard to complain. I do know 316 will leave the electrolyte clean.
yeah, you really need to get hands on a better method of marking your volts/amps ... cheap Chinese digital meters are about $20 each on fleabay and work ok ... get the blue ones, the red ones dont show up on video ... with out reliable numbers, you really wont know for sure what's what ...
I cant believe how hard you have worked at this useing those plates. You really stuck to it and are having great results. Good job.

Hi Steve. I like your videos. Here is a easy way to figure your mmw with out going to a web site.
take yor mL times 60. Then divide that number by you amps , voltage and seconds.

Good job mate, Covering up the exposed edges makes a huge difference to the efficiency.

Thanks, and yes I am starting to see that - it makes me want to make a brick cell like Zerofossilfuel & others have.

nice job. i havnt had any thing as good as that yet. but soon!

I hope its just not a "freak result", but I figure when I get more accurate tests it will show whether this is a norm or something else.
I know more tweaking can be done and that there are more efficient cells I can make, but this is my first "lesson" in HHO.

thank you but I still have to do more tests & get this in a vehicle for some 'real tests'.
Even tho I'm not auto/mechanically inclined, that is the goal.
