  • To my favorites.

  • How do you get the sketchy effect for the animation?

  • O_O

  • Its funny when people do videos like these some one always finds the inperfections. Its almost as if their only goal in life is to criticize others. But what they fail to realize theis only a bunch of hypocrites.

  • @MrPsychoNinJa88 critics are a good thing

  • too much pedal..

  • nice played.

still, this is not the orignial Op. 69 No. 2 but the one that was edited by Fontana. I think you should've mentioned that. Not only is the music sheet completly different, but also the sound.

  • Roll over, Beethoven. This insomnia-ridden piece beats even Moonlight by far.

  • @PredictableEnigma Whoa, heresy.

  • this is simply magnificent

  • I LOVE U CHOPIN! LOVE U LVOE U LOVE U!

  • the two hands from Super smash bros. are playing the piano, how exhilarating !

  • You are a very good piano player! Keep it up! :)

  • this is my recital song :D but i could never play it this beautiful :)

  • This is a waltz not a valse

  • @xing0021 Valse = Waltz. The original copy says valse which translates into Waltz.

    Tis the real deal.

  • One of my favorite Sunday afternoon things to do is a good glass of wine and Cubus playing Chopin... life in the good lane.

J'ai un concour du mois prochain et j'ai besoin d'apprendre cette chanson rapidement

  • ich kenns aus grip

  • the original peace is very beautiful but the way you played it made it more fantastic :D

  • The 30 people who disliked this video are probably not miserable bastards with no life but they do not have an exceedingly great taste in music. But that's just my personal opinion. Everyone likes different things.

  • omg____

  • i would like to say this guy is awsome lol. i would say this as a Gamer point of view. Eternal Sonata =]

  • @Xenosaga101

X3 That game is so awesome!

It's really neat to see a game that portrays Chopin. <3

  • so when are you going to get that grand piano so we can really really get a VERY VERY GOOD VERSION FROM YOU!

not that its not good enough, but i believe you'll be completed with a grand piano.

cant believe how well you play with that keyboard.... makes me so jealous.

  • Chopin c'est geniale

  • Chopin brought me here, not a dumbass TV show!

  • @rafaluk Chopin writes romantic piano pieces, so the beat and notes have to be a little off sometimes otherwise it wouldn't sound romantic at all, thats why Chopin is a great romantic piano piece writer

  • im gonna learn piano... someday.... just not now ... tooo busy right now....

  • Dexter brought me here :] and it did well

  • Dexter brought me here :]

  • Chopin est mon copain. <3 haha

  • which are the different versions of this piece?? please

  • @dprodani the "original" one, meaning Chopin's script, and Fontana's version.

  • Thumps up If DEXTER brought you here =D

  • ahh I absolutely love the way you play this piece. :) Your tempo and interpretation of it are perfect, beautiful. You play with real emotion. Keep at it!

  • it's sweet how the tiny mistakes in here just seem to add more to the beautiful interpretation of yours. Very nice.

  • Great! I dont get tired to listen this piece, It's so beautifull... I want this never finish

  • 21 people dislike cause it's not a real piano and have to much hall effect on it. I like it though.

  • chopin is so great. :D

  • QUE HERMOSURA DE VALS.....MUY MELANCOLICO

  • GOD OF THE MOST SPLENDID AND COMPLETE FAMILY OF JEROME AND MAIDEN POMPEII S SACRED GHOST WI SEA WA

  • I love it. & I'm picky when it comes to pieces like this :)

  • you're very good. i'm learning now =)

  • I love u Chopin -3

  • very good :D but your speed is very slow :/

  • @judithmice

I don't think so! It's Excellent! It's more a sad play than a funny or enthusiastic one. He plays it with a lot of feeling! i can't stand those fast played ones where people only pay attention at the correctness! Well done! :D

  • @Mookiemanable You're right (:

My teacher always says: "Do it faster" and so.. I'm doing it :'D

  • Lovely. I'll be emulating this in my next performance.

  • so beautiful!! hes amazing :]

  • i love it,great performance

  • there was a few mistakes only at 4:01 and 4:20 but it sounds sooo good. you put great emotions in it and i wont say that i can play it better^^ i obviously cant :')

    its amazing :DD

  • my favorite piano composition.. luv it.. great performance

  • 今、この曲を練習しているのでとっても参考になりました!!

so great!! very beautiful!! I like your playing.

  • I love your interpretation of this lovely waltz. The way you play makes my heart sing. :)

  • I think that soul of frederic is playing the pinao in the heaven for God now . :)

  • <3

  • This is one of my favourite songs. Great playing- I like how it's not too fast nor too slow- Just right.

  • fantastic ;)

  • SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO beautiful

  • I WISH I COULD PLAY THIS! someone really needs to make a tutorial lol

  • @QuickAtTheKeys you can't learn chopin on a youtube tutorial, unfortunately lol

  • @QuickAtTheKeys Visit my channel. I have a tutorial on this piece (:

  • Wonderfully done! I was mentally playing along with the score, and I could not hear the crescendo on page 3, where the modulation is. I'm sure this took a lot of practice. I must compliment you on an amazing job!

  • excellent perfomance just like the rest of your videos

    keep up the good work

  • I still love it though. definitely beautiful

  • also, you have to account for the fact that rubato is played by letting the right hand flow freely while the left hand keeps strict timing, while tempo changes may make it sound sometimes as if it is also free flowing

  • Also, nice playing, but keep a steady rhythm for the most part. practice with metronome. I know I've had to befoe

  • @AnomalousChopin Chopin was a Romantic Era composer. The majority of his music was meant to be played very rubato and expressive.

  • @scrogginsslayer Very true! And i love that you know that. It comes from his French influence. However, you'll notice that although there is rubato in quite a vast majority of his music, there is definitely a feel of a difference in change of tempo at those times, not so much of a stop-start feel like i get from this rendition. It's definitely on it's way, but I understand where you're coming from, and it's a pleasure to address this issue for those reading.

  • 24 people are Jelouse they can't play like this genius XD You are still amazing

  • Best performance of this piece ever in youtube so far.

  • @Finalist7 listen to Waltz Opus 69 no. 2 by Ashkenazy. Captures the essence of the way this piece is to be played. this piece is nice but the issue is that Chopin knew how this was to be played when he wrote it. Chopin was born of French and Polish parents. The French would play soft and flowingly, and the Polish were fond of fast, wild dances. This piece, along with others of his, are a culmination of his upbringing and therefore have a style which they are to be played in as @geoool stated

  • ...exacto! Con tu Nombre,con tu Rostro,Tu voz,Tus ojos,tus cabellos.....exacto...... tal Como te imagine!...Te AmO..CarLoS..! aunq no me anime a decirtelo por Llamadas...Te AmO.

  • ....................................CarLoS...

  • nice song....

    CHOPIN =D

  • Is a Korg sp250.... I´ve got a one... I love it. Beautiful interpretation

  • i love it. I plai it too. but not soo fast, but this is coming too. =)

  • i dont know why people press the dislike button ? if your ear cant stand this you could just jump to pop music , leave the loby empty ....

  • @rafaluk2 I'm sorry but you have to remember it's a valse. Also it says moderato not lento or something it is just far too slow for me. Try Dinu Lipatti's interpretation.

  • I'm not a music specialist but I like very much the way she plays this masterpiece. I love this sad valse and in my oppinon it will last forever it doesn't matter of the private manner of playing. But it is just my point of view!

  • @sibellearte I don't feel sadness in this masterpiece. Quite the contrary! It is like an idyll, quite calm. It contains lots of sparks of hope and a bit of love. When I listen to this Valse, I see a sun and a glade... no clouds. Just love.

  • музика є чудо і часу не підвласна справжня музика.. я ця!

  • Not very good recording to learn from - listen to the boom, boom in LH on beat 1.

  • GOOD NICE!!!!!!

  • simply awesome....love it!!!

  • nit pickers unite!!

  • Akheer

  • I heard a little trip of the keys at 4:01 =D

  • I also play dis Valse.... really great

  • Excellent.

  • I am in love with this peice!

  • @seejimmyrun .. wow that's funny but rude

  • @seejimmyrun It's an electric piano - they aren't perfect :P

  • I might try and tackle this song, but the constant shift in melodies would probably overwhelm me considering I'm self-taught.

  • the 21 people who disliked this video are probably miserable bastards with no lives

  • @drab6969 They must not have liked the way he played it? Or they were miserable bastards.

  • @drab6969 26 ppl now DX

  • @drab6969 I loved the playing, but I would prefer a better picture of your hands movements. Looks to me like you play wonderful.

  • @drab6969 I really do agree with you !

    This video is wonderful !

    Thanks for uploading

  • @drab6969 your comment made me laugh for at least whole minute :)))) well, I'm one of those who clicked LIKE :) if there was LIKE A LOT option, that would definitely be my button :D

  • I'm only 13, do you think that i should even attempt to play this piece???

    BTW good job!!!

  • @REBel8523909 i recommend you to kill your familiy and eat your dog

  • @REBel8523909

    Yes

  • @REBel8523909 depends on how many years of experience you have on piano....I suggest at least 6-7 years to attempt to play it. The hardest part of this song are the different variations and it is technically difficulty, you have to follow the fingering that chopin wrote. In the video, the guy is playing it a bit too slow, the real tempo is 152 BPM so its harder to play it real speed

  • Oh good Heavens I'm 16 too! :'D I love this piece... it's so beautiful. I can't play piano, sadly, but if I ever start to learn - this will be what I want to master! ): It's just too beautiful for words.

  • @nattifaux I know, exactly what you mean. :Sadly, I can't play either, but what I do have is an appreciation for fine music like this.

  • This is beautiful. Congratulations.

  • aaaahhhh... wonderful! Play this too, but I think I`ll have to practice a little bit, till it sounds like this! =)

  • Everybody played it. I danced it!

  • i think u should now start recording on a real piano.. and stop this non sense of electronics... im an electronics engineer student and a pianist and im telling u stop doing this to amazing pieces... u seem a very good pianist and should not waste ur talent on this piece of sh*t

  • i'm currently learning this because i started piano again and this was the piece i never got to learn when i quit. i'm glad i get to learn it now. (: btw you sound great!

  • I'm 13 and I'm learning this for the summer :D

  • i'm 16 too =D it's like a super sweet 16 party in here!.. i just bought the "chopin - walzer" book at 14:30, and started with this piece, i can play the first too pages (one to go)... back to my piano =)

good luck you guys (and if you need any help, i suggest to play the left hand first without any mistakes; than right, and if you can play both without any mistakes try both of your hands the same time and add the right dynamics etc. (it's just like cooking, lol)

  • @myasheed me too! I'm 16 and learning to play it right now. D: I played ever since i was like 10 or 9. i'm just a slow and lazy learner lol.

  • i'm playing that for a recital today

  • i played that when i was 12 or 13 years it's really a grear piece but i guess the tempo should get faster i guess :D

    keep playing ;)

  • sounds great! =)

I am learning this at the moment :)

  • - I´m 13 and I´m learning to play it. Mmm, I´m not sure about your tempo but, any way it´s my opinion.

  • This song is so peaceful. Helps me sleep at night

  • @Pro2TheXtreeM Agreed.

  • - You play really good! I like it. I´m 13 years old and i´m learning this piece . Thanks. -

  • I like your chopin very much. Beautiful !!!!!!!

  • Comment removed

  • @myasheed

And I was 19 when I started learning ^^ its never to late, you or let's say "we" can still become concert pianist level ;)

  • I've almost got the hang of this song now and I'm only 13 turning 14 this year and doing this song. =) I sometimes get some of the chords wrong but I'm very close to accomplishing it.

  • @Sookie

Don't feel like a failure for just starting at 16, instead CONGRATULATE yourself.

Seriously, how many 16 year olds these days even know who Chopin is? or let alone his music? You are brave to try and learn such complicated music which takes non stop dedication and practice. I implore you not to give up, we must keep this music alive for all eternity. The day 16 years stop trying to play piano will be a sad one indeed

  • im doing this song for my piano recital =) im still workin on it though but i love the song even though my piano teacher yells at me im not playing good enough

  • this is a song im doing for my piano recital =) im still workin on it though

  • this piece is so beautiful. i want to learn it! do you have the sheet music? :)

  • chopin was a very delecate person, he played most of his pieces softly, you did great but you should've played it more softly

  • Whatz up with your other movies? Your handz look so freekn wierd!

  • cool hands

  • Just curious: did you know how to read music before you started playing? I'm would like to take some piano lessons in the future(17 atm) and I thought it would be good to how to read music and know some basic music theory going in.

  • just.......amazing

  • What key are you playing in, sir?

  • @myasheed Don't feel bad!! I'm going to be a junior and college and I'm just starting to study this piece!

  • Touched me, beautiful played.

And how could you make this blur??

  • @myasheed : give urself some confidence. volodos started really learning the piano at 16, and now he's one of the best!(at least technically)

  • i don't know who plays the piano BUT it's so moving!

my sister used to play in the same tempo as the player does

  • im playing this right now!!!!!

  • great!!! Sounds like Olga Scheps!

  • A beautiful, sensitive piece beautifully and sensitively played.

  • is ok... make me wanna give up trying to be better if this is the best...

  • I just started this piece! absolutley beautiful!

  • @pointegirl127 I have found this piece to be quite difficult to get right. There might not be the perfect way to perform it, but with every piece, there is always that goal for perfection.

  • Absolutely love it

  • A bit slowly?

  • @Iamrunescapemember Well, its a waltz isn't it?

And everyone is allowed to play it as slow as they want :)

  • Hervorragend, einfach genial!!

  • Nice video,it's art!

  • i think u know the notes very well but u need to draw more attention to the dynamics, expression and tempo. they are extremely important! the con anima part of the piece should be played faster and lively, therefore it's con anima. then the dolce part needs a bit of rubato which is a main characteristic of chopin's pieces (it's nice to actually add it throughout his pieces). u should work on it more

  • @geooool i think it's more of a personal choice the way you play the piece; you don't need to play it in a SPECIFIC way.

  • @breaking17emotions i'm not saying play it in a specific way. Nobody knows how Chopin played so all the pianists in the world when they play Chopin's pieces they play it with their own way. I'm just saying that dynamics and expression are EXTREMELY important when it comes to Chopin. If you play it like this in a performance most of the audience will be sleeping. I am a performer and musician my self and i've had a lot of experience with Chopin and critique so i'm just giving advice.

  • @geooool

you can climb down from that mighty horse of your's and go fuck yourself, this is one of the most beautiful things i have ever heard, i would personally beat the shit out of anyone that dare to sleep under a performance like this

  • Comment removed

  • @geooool The dynamics are surely reduced by the electronic piano in the first place. You won't get a perfect classical interpretation by any pianist on it.

  • @geooool Although I like other versions, I wouldn't agree with you. Tempo depends on the interpretation. So does dynamics. 'Con anima' or 'dolce' are just tips. When you master the piece by notes, you start to play with heart. Try to feel the emotions in this interpretation - they are completely different as they are in the more dynamical versions.

    I <3 Ch.

  • @rafaluk2 They are not just tips.Con anima&dolce is what Chopin wrote as a guideline to help u play the piece.U have to use it!If you take a look at Chopin's waltzes most of them have these 2 parts. We don't have recordings of how Chopin played his pieces so we dnt have the ideal sound(but we have his sheet music),we just need to create the sound. Chopin is all about making the piece urs but u have to do it through his guidelines.Technique&expression are 2 different things.

  • @rafaluk2 Though much of what you say has truth, composers write those markings in there for a reason they are not just suggestions. Musicians can take liberties with them but only to an artistic extent. I have seen many a pieces butchered because of people getting too "into" the pieces. Remember, its not YOUR music your playing, its your interpretation of someone elses, so have respect for their creations.

  • @rafaluk2 I agree. As a photographer I often use a sort of reversed analogy to this as defense if someone questions my artistic license. The quote from Ansel Adams goes something like, "The film negative is the score and the developing is the performance". I think people who do not undersand that concept are a bit short sighted when it comes to art.

  • @rafaluk2 Yes, I agree with you. I have just listean for a comparison Dinu Lipatti's interpretation and it sounds definitely happier:)

  • Comment removed

  • I like your interpretations of Chopin generally. Very impressive

  • Add more! I'm using this music to study with (veterinary medicine), and the longer it takes before i have to restart the playlist :) Chopin gets me in the study mood

  • @Snabbelkrab Same here :)

  • i just learned the whole song like 2 weeks ago. Good job!

  • Wspaniała interpretacja! Może mi kiedyś uda się dojść do takiej perfekcji :)
