Fuck dude its called the Civil War and you lost cause you had slavery, a mode of society that became obsolete socially and economically hundreds of years beforehand in Europe. Get over it.
elliot forbes robinson was hurt that yr at the end of the season came back again in 86? got hurt really bad and geoff brabham came in for nissan#83? and dominated until 1989 or 1990 sorry if car # and yrs are wrong but i remember watching at laguna seca and sears point, del mar fair grounds.. like it was yesterday... who had a 70 datsun 510 and remembers these days 240zs and 510s rule they were the orignal bad ass tuner cars..forte out.....
These were private racing teams, too bad the big money factories like Nissan came in and spent a bunch of their never ending money, which made it unaffordable for everyone else.
After that there were no more prototypes like the Porsche 962. The Jaguar was really cool also. These cars were unlimited, and the racing was fantastic.
at about 4:45 is the infamous Gravity Cavity.

ESPN used to show these IMSA races.
These were the greatest to watch.
