man, their drummer really cant catch a break with all the people who are being nostalgic. The drums aren't sloppy. If you listen to the one in Orange you'll notice the only thing that is somewhat intact of the way they played it almost 30 years ago is the bass line.

Without him a large amount of classic songs didn't even excist! He joined somewhere between the "Wish" album and "Wild Mood Swings" I thought...Well I'm terribly sorry but Bloodflowers is one of the most awesome new-era albums in my opinion! :) The Cure did a good deed in bringing Jason to the band. it's not that Jason is sloppy and weak... it's that there is a cheesy-ass programmed beat going and he has to play over top of it. This song has always had sort of an out-of-time drum beat. Plus, STOP calling him "the new drummer" - he has been in the band for 15 years now. Boris was in for 10. Jason is the longest tenured DRUMMER in the Cure's history. Lol didn;t play drums the whole time, and hell, even he was only in the band for 12 years. So yeah. Blame Robert and his desire to sequence.

@The1ne07 What happened is, after 1997, Robert decided that they needed to play almost EVERY SINGLE SONG with prerecorded backing tracks. At least, this is per Roger. Some of the songs sound good, don;t get me wrong... but stuff like this is just a failed effort, IMHO, which I'm sure Mr. Smith could give two fucks about, despite the fact that I have been a loyal fan and they have been my fave band for 23 years now... I just think that the backing tracks Idea sort of screwed the pooch a little.

Okay, Jason is a fairly average drummer, but he does not deserve the shit that you 'fans' give him. The only real reason most of you want Boris back is so that it can be as close to the origonal lineup as possible, then you want to bring back the keyboards and only hear them play their old stuff. Well I think Jason as no creativity to be a Cure drummer; I usually wonder who played drums in that great record from 2004 I read that Porl Thompson hanged out with them in the studio back then...was any-one else there that we didn´t know!!!!????. Now if Boris doesnt return Robert is stuck with Jason. I believe that any of these would be a good replacement BUDGIE, KEVIN HASKINS and JIMMY CHAMBERLIN.
