If the Japanese would have known we had no more ready to go nukes, I feel they would not have given up. If the Japanese would have known we had no more ready to go nukes, I feel they would not have given up. In August of 1945 the Japanese thought we were going to exterminate their entire culture with our nukes. The Japanese felt they were facing the certainty of genocide if they did not surrender. No other enemy of the US has ever felt that way.

I had a great uncle that died from his treatment in a POW camp in germany. My dad when he was a kid would talk to the german POWs in a camp outside my little town here in the USA. He told me that most of the German POWs never wanted the war they were forced to fight and they also were treated better here as a POW than a soldier in Germany.

So true. And why did the Allies, especially the Russians, drive to reduce the German Capital to rubble? Victory was imminent yet they were driven on by resentment and hate to destroy every ounce of German sense of pride. It was completely unnecessary, their methods and amount of resources used during the siege. Yet they did it, and today society shows little remorse.

That's a good point. Some of the Russians got pretty brutal, Soviet propoganda and revenge for the previous German invasion probably had a lot to do with that.

The Allies wanted to make sure that it was clear to the Germans they were beat. Most Germans did not believe they lost the first world war and they rose again to get revenge. The last thing the western allies and the Russians wanted was Germany to rise 20 years later like it did the previous time.

Whoaaa, lots of things wrong up in here... first of all "filthy Jewish pig" is just hateful, and so is assuming that all Nazi folk are Germans. Your probably more likely to find Nazi folk elsewhere, even in the U.S., then Germany lately. So yeah... bad!

I'm not just taking my information from "Allied" sources. Former Axis nations, like Germany or Italy, would tell you the same thing, the truth. You go on about these mass murders and petitions, but where are your sources? Where is YOUR proof?
