I just can say that i liked compiz but vers- 0.9.* is really buggy and unusable - And when they dont do any fix, all bigger distros will change to kwin in kde (they have already similar effects and will kill compiz out of repo) and *buntu will have a problem with unity...

Thats why i say: i really would like to use compiz again, but such a laggy wm is not pro.

Hi. @T3rMi1 yes it is available available for xfce. You need install conky and configure a script to show the information do you need.

Install conky on Ubuntu:

sudo apt-get install conky

La estuve probando desde la por llamarla de alguna manera prueba que salio pocos días después de salir Ubuntu 11.10, la verdad es que el Alpha 2 funciona muy bien, personalmente para el uso habitual siempre prefiero las versiones Lts son las mejores, o como mucho las anteriores a esta, la 10.04 Lts funciona de cine.

hola @pedrote2222 yo también he venido probando Precise desde la pre-Alpha y es asombrar la estabilidad que ha mostrado desde las versiones Alpha. Para ser aun una versión en desarrollo realmente no he tenido ningún disgusto. Esta versión de Ubuntu viene con todo :D

He considerado ponerle voz a los vídeos pero creo que soy algo tímido para eso :$ prefiero dejárselo a los profesionales como tú y Juanebitel :)

@vinicio4114 No! I have 7 Pc's running some sort of Linux I had it on my iMac g4 for a wile also. There is many things i love about Ubuntu like the software center and all the great apps. I think if some one who had windows 7 used Ubuntu with compiz it wood be the thing that made them go "So windows 7 in not king". But all and all you can be right about me not knowing Ubuntu from this comment, there is better things.

Estoy pensando en instalar 12.04 alpha en mi laptop de trabajo, que tan estable es?, no manejo mucha info vital y comparto particiones con windows, pero queria saber tu opinion sobre la estabilidad del alpha.

@jaeo8987 en mi experiencia con un equipo de 32-bit, gráfica NVIDIA y procesador AMD; Ubuntu 12.04 tiene una estabilidad que para ser una versión alpha es una de sus mejores características. Hasta el momento no he tenido mayor problema que unos mensajitos de notificación de error al iniciar el sistema pero claro hablo en mi experiencia. Si deseas instalar Ubuntu 12.04 como con toda versión alpha recomiendo no tener información importante hasta ser una versión estable. Un saludo.

Wow, really amazing! I noticed that the compilation of some plugins failed, it was necessary to also install the package compiz-plugins-main-dev and rerun the script to enable all plugins.

@nicbeltran19 funciona en Lucid, Maverick, Natty, Oneiric y Precise. Solo que desde Oneric algunos plugins estan desactualizados y no se instalan, como el efecto nieve y otros más. Un Saludo y gracias por comentar.
