So when Ben Kweller was telling us about writing this song, he said that he was staying at this cabin or something in his home town in Texas and they had a really bad mouse problem, so he went to Wal-Mart to get some mouse traps. While he was there, "in the mouse trap aisle," he said, this guy came up to him because he recognized him, turns out it was an old friend of his, and he's now a local cop. Listen for the line about it in the song, it's good stuff.
