It's people like this (chubrikstrekozyobrik etc) who ruin music. Music is SUPPOSED to be emotional for god's sake. People who play with a "technic" as you put it may as well be reading from a car manual. Dave obviously feels what he plays and therefore is far superior to the likes of those who value the 'proper way of playing a composition' and sacrificing any passion they may have ever felt for it...Oh, and Yann Tiersen kicks serious butt.

I just felt compelled to respond to your post earlier because I had an art teacher who used to tell us we'd painted something 'wrong' and I always used to think, how can art be 'wrong'?! Just because we didn't do it exactly as he would have done. It seemed to be a similar arguement. I know nothing of technique and am just learning piano myself but I know that when i listen to Dave playing i get goosebumps, so he must be doing something right!

No sé si sabràs agluna cosa de música, pero akest tio es un crack. Nomes pel simple fet de treure-ho d'oïda i de recordar tot el que recorda. I si ho diu al seu perfil, serà perquè no vol semblar res, no creus?

I justament perquè toca com toca, arribarà molt lluny, perquè llegir una partitura ho pot fer qualsevol, en canvi tocar bé, és una cosa molt difícil que pocs tenen el privilegi de poder fer.

I guess he has the audio output from the keyboard connected to his computer where he records the music and instead on speakers he simply uses headphones. I think so cause the audio in this piece is so nice and clean, I don't think that it's recorded via microphone.
