This is why I hate engineers... they can figure out how to put together the most complex systems in the world but they can't figure out how to string together a few words to form a sentence that means anything to the general public.

Sure there're a lot of variables to consider so in the grand scheme of things an answer isn't simple, but still... can you generalize a little bit? Can you give us an idea of the AC will halve the mileage or what?
