You mmight want to try the shark tank method. Put him in a small enclosure inside her enclosure to keep him safe but they will still be able to flirt through the air holes.

I came up with that candle method. =-) My video on it is in my profile on here somewhere. She is packing eggs for sure, now to see if I can coax them out of her.

They are close to the same size. The female is a bit more bulky but not by much. She has more vibrant white on her though.
