@KillingClassics having trust in your animals and knowing to recognise the signs if you need to step in. just like introducing a new cat/dog/baby into the household.
Hi, I'm gonna judge you as pet owners based on a two minute video. I don't know how you treat your dogs in real life, I could probably be wrong but still.
Why would you want to kill a rat? I have 2 regular domestic rats and they are the sweetest little creatures. Yukie tries to play with my rabbits all the time and comes and licks my hands like a puppy. Just because you don't think it's cute doesn't mea you should kill it. And my grandma has a would hybrid and it's one of the sweetest dogs, he has some odd bonding rituals like putting smaller dogs head in his mouth but he doesn't bite them he just likes to do it... I like this video it's cute.
Reminds me of my Fursona ^^ my fursona is a Wolf/Husky mix. Brown and white hair like the brown huckies and green eyes. idk why green but i chose green lol
@davidh3536 It depends on city ordinances. I lived on the iron range in Minnesota and it's legal to have them there. Many are used for sled dog racing in the Ididerod.
I want a wolf hybrid so bad. Not because I think I need a badass dog (which they totally are lol) but it pains me to see so many that get mistreated and poorly trained, therefore earning a bad reputation because of their thoughtless owners. If I can at least give one a better life, then I can feel so much better. Shoot maybe I'll even get other people interested. They're beautiful creatures and congrats to you for doing such a fantastic job with yours!
I used to have a dog that was a Husky wolf breed. we had named her Dawn. Some people really thought her a dangerous animal casue of her wolf counter part. When she was a pup, some ppl didnt want her but we took her in and found she was the most gentle dog Ive ever had. She past away a few years ago from old age I suppose. she was going to be 12 years old.
@EnigmaDrath They do. They're obviously more prone to scratches and do need to be bathed regularly to keep the skin clean, also can't forget to keep them moisturized since they tend to get dry skin aswell.
I dont get why places ban certain breeds, its not the breeds that are dangerous its how they were trained or previously treated that makes them bitter. There just like people, if we were treated badly as childs we will be dangerous as adults. Also i want a wolf hybrid!! do they howl like a wolf?
@christower50 I have a Wolf Hybrid, they are wonderful animals. You are right it's how they are raised and treated, my wolf Chinook is a sweetheart, she is so loveable. She will howl, they are different than your average dog and we've adjusted to it. She digs incredible holes, I think it's den mentality, she stalks and pounces. I would like to think the same thing is true about Pit Bulls, I hate to think that any dog is just plain vicious because of breed.
@LipstickWarrior1 Well the same thing can be transferred to humans, how people think all black people are dangerous well thats just not true at all. It all goes back to how they were raised. How many rats do you have? I used to have a mouse and she was amazing
Long happy lives to you and yours! While I'm more of a Great Dane man, myself, and I don't have any interest in owning such a beautiful dog myself, I am glad people like you are out there taking care of such beautiful animals! God Bless!
i totally agree with you. it takes alot of time and effort to train one. i have never trained one personally but i have seen videos and documentaries of people training and explaining the disadvantages unexperienced people can make while training these dogs. side note i think it would pretty interesting to get into something like that. though i dont live in the right area for that right now.
i didnt no wolfdogs could be trained to work with prey animals o.O. such beautiful creatures (all 3) i love rats but could never own one, my dad's afraid and would freak out and I love wolfdogs. I love ur dogs name btw lol god of war is a good fit for any wolf mix lol
My first wolf dog was pure white and my mom raised white Peking and Muscovy ducks for egg. As it were, one clutch hatched and my wolf dog would provide babysitting services by sleeping with the ducklings. Wolf dogs are pretty much as gentle as they come, and anyone who thinks otherwise should get their head out of their ass.
Wow what a beautiful dog can you tell me like exactly what he is like how much wolf and what kind and how much husky and if there is anything else it would be greatly appreciated because I am wanting a dog and he is a beauty
dog "what the heck are these things? Puppies? ones crawling on me!! crap! hmm well they dont seem to be doing anything, yup buncha things that i cant figure out what they are crawling around in fronta me, good thing my Nurture instinct is beating my Nature instict right now" nice vid
Your dog is great, I have a white husky/wolf mix myself named Kodi. I wanted him not because he's a pretty wolf, but because he broke my heart into pieces with the pitiful "love me" eyes he gave me when I first saw him. He's my best friend, and my biggest baby lol. If only everyone appreciated it instead of thinking "Oh Im awesome cuz I have a wolf".
really? people leave nasty comments like this? I love your rats, I love your dog, and would love to own a wolf hybrid one day, but from what i have heard they are more dangerous than a true wolf, so have been hesitant until I find a job that allows me the time to train them properly. F* what everyone says. People are bitter in their own lives and this is their way of making up for it. You are fantastic and you have raised your animals right. Grats to you. Full respect for you...
@barcrunch Thank you very much. I truly appreciate your comment. It's not everyone who takes the time to think things through before adopting an animal, whether it be a hybrid dog or something as simple as a hamster. If you work hard you'll no doubt find the perfect job that will suit your future lifestyle if you do decide to adopt one of these amazing animals.
@drowningsoul04 My state completely bans Wolf Hybrids because there considered dangerous animals same with a pure wolf. But my state dosn't consider a Fox a dangerous animal and I'm allowed to have a pet Fox as long as I get it from a breeder though I can't catch one from the wild and make it a pet thats illegal. I just think its ironic because a Fox is a complete wild animal where as a Wolf Hybrid is half Domestic. Do you know much of owning a Fox as a pet?
@TheCajunGambit1 As far as owning one as a pet I would have to say no honestly. With Foxes it's usually a situation where the mother was killed and the pups are too young to survive on their own. If very young they need constant around the clock care and are kept at the homes of the other workers or myself until a certain age. But it's usually a 'catch and release' situation. Once old enough we return them to the wild so we can't let them get too attached or used to being kept inside of a home.
@drowningsoul04 Well thats cool, Do you also work with Coydogs? Dogs that are part Coyote? From what I've been told Coydogs are harder to predict than Wolf Hybrids because I guess Coyote behavior is more difficult to understand than Wolf behavior?
@TheCajunGambit1 I actually grew up owning a fox. The best place to get one would probably a breeder close by, but the BEST one i know of is an adoption research center in Siberia i believe. They studied aggressive and submissive behaviors in foxes and they allow adoption to people for the submissive ones. Foxes, though small, are wild animals. They are energetic and need lots of exercise. At times, they can be stubborn, especially with training. Litter box training is accepted with foxes also.
@TheCajunGambit1 Owning a fox can be a very rewarding and interesting experience. Of course, you'll need to find a vet that can treat your fox and food and appropriate shelter. Foxes may walk around the house like dogs, but definetly arent dogs. They are sort of a mix of dogs and cats. Playfulness and energy of dogs, but independence of cats. They yip, some more than others but this usually isn't a problem at all. Train and socialize. Train and socialize. Train and socialize. VERY IMPORTANT. GL
@TheCajunGambit1 I would recommend a room dedicated to your fox, or maybe an enclosure of some type, though not necessary it would definetly help your fox to adjust to its new home. It doesn't have to be too big, you dont have to go crazy, but just a space that your fox can retreat to. Leave its toys and whatever else there. Even if you do not want to follow through this, it is a good tip for the beggining especially. :D
My sweet girl had to be put to sleep when the vet couldn't help her anymore. The pills stopped working and she just couldn't use her back legs very well, very shaky. Sad!
I love your doggie <3 Wolves are my favorite animal, and I really hope one day I can have a half dog, half wolf.. since its the closest i'll get to having a real one. hehe
You're rats are adorable tooo! Its so nice your dog and rats get along..
my dog and gerbil dont get along at all.
p.s.
I'm noticing a final fantasy theme to your names of the animals? ^.^
jealous of your dog, very pretty. ive raised wolf hybrids and glad more people are posting vids of their kindness, especially with smaller animals around. i own a pure husky, long lineage of pure husky racing, and he loves my flop ear rabbit. idk what this video is for, but good to know the word is spread of bigger dogs thought to be mean to smaller mammals can be good.
Wow that's a beautiful dog! I see you said you've worked with husky/wolves for over 7 years. I have considered getting one for a few years but I have a bunny. After seeing the video of your dog being okay with your pet rats (which I think the hairless one is adorable!), what would your opinion be on socializing a wolf dog pup with a bunny? Do you think there is possibility of the wolf dog turning on the bunny later in life?
@LiLeeFace Thank you! My only advice would be to have a lot of time on your hands for training. And by this I don't mean, sit, stay and give paw. I mean teaching a dog which is a natural born predator to make 'friends' with what is usually it's meal. As well behaved as Ares is, look at my videos carefully, he never tore his eyes away from the smaller animals. Don't get cocky and never give them 'the' opportunity or they'll take it. They're much more complex then your average everyday dog.
@drowningsoul04 P.S Ares currently shares his home with a Netherland Dwarf Rabbit and a young Flemish Giant Rabbit and they live together peacefully. He's lived with Guinea Pigs all his life so it was rather easy to introduce rabbits into the household without any real problem. Good luck and I hope this answered your questions and if you have more then feel free to ask.
Are half husky half wolf vicious in nature sense they have wolf in them? Or are they usually very kind? I've been thinking of getting one but I've been very afraid.
@HannahEmartin I've worked alongside these sorts of dogs for years and I have to say the best thing you could do is always be one step ahead of them. They're smart and clever and once they learn how to do something it's impossible to erase it from their brain lol It's really all about how you train them and how much time and effort you put into raising them. Any dog can be the worst or best thing that's happened to you all depending on what you teach them and how.
i'm surprise ur dog didn't freak out and chase after them hahaha...but i'm guessing you have already been having them playing together since ur dog was small right???
I wouldn't keep a rat since i'm scare of touching them and i'm scare of getting bit hahaha...
@mayvaaj Aw don't be scared of ratties lol I get bit more by hamsters than anything else when I work and imagine, I work with all sorts including moody snakes, scorpions and tarantulas. These are typically the sort of creatures people are normally afraid of but you have more of chance of getting bit by a hamster lol Not all of course! But they are moody little buggers. Rats are more social and adapt very easily and love the attention while hamsters are solitary and prefer to be left alone. ^_^
omg really? wow its no wonder your not scare of rats hahaha...and now i have learn a new fact that rats do not bite as much as hamsters. My sisters got hamsters before and they would always try to bite her hahaha...i never touch them but look at them cause they are still very cute adorable animals. i love your dog/wolf hahaha..i wanted one but maybe in the future.
I think my husky/wolf would have destroyed that little critter in an instant even by accident. I'm amazed. Mine has a fluffy wolf tail that doesn't curl up. She looks all wolf, but the vet says she's part husky. She's a sweet thing, but no dogs mess with her. She's very much a loner around other dogs and she just paces while my GSD will play with other dogs.
@stingraybch LOL nice. I have one too but when i took him to the vet and i put that he was a husky so i wouldnt have problems.... the vet said " umm.... im not stupid this is not in anyway a husky...." haha my girlfriend thought it was hilarious but hey im just paranoid! These guys are MORE than dogs. I love him more than anything. He is extremely aggressive out of the house but when hes in the house hes very lovable to all animals even our cat that was killed recently.. -_-
@TheDrMusician Mine was a rescue. Most cities have rescues. It shouldn't cost too much, but there's expense involved with vet, monthly flea and heartworm prevention, etc. If you can't do these things, please don't get such a dog. My wolf husky passed away about 2 months ago. Very, very sad. She just got old and even meds didn't work anymore. My German Shep misses her. She was the sweetest girl and I can never replace her.
@andyrooney12 Wow! I was just thinking the EXACT same thing about human beings such as yourself! What a coincidence and here I thought the only thing we had in common was living on the same planet! You're just one more moron who likes to find videos about things they like to complain about in order to get some attention.
@jokes4everybody Wow... did you actually sign into ANOTHER account after I blocked you just to do that? You must be very lonely, clearly if you don't give a fuck about what I say then why bother commenting? If you don't give a fuck about what I have to say then what makes you think anyone here would give a fuck about your useless ignorant comments. Do us all a favor and instead of making multiple accounts just delete them all and erase yourself from YouTube and life all together.
Whaqt percent is that wolfdog? hes very beutiful and him playing with the rats(for lack of a better word) is so gentle and adorable.... do you keep your wolfdog in your house at all times
@casteveanerpool Yep you're right, but they're just called "Naked Rats" or "Hairless" to be exact. A naked mole rat is something completely different, look it up and you'll see what I mean, kinda frightening. lol
animals never cease to amaze me. What a lovely and gentle wolfdog.

jealous of your dog, very pretty. ive raised wolf hybrids and glad more people are posting vids of their kindness, especially with smaller animals around. i own a pure husky, long lineage of pure husky racing, and he loves my flop ear rabbit. idk what this video is for, but good to know the word is spread of bigger dogs thought to be mean to smaller mammals can be good.

WolfDog: Hey mouse I gotta ask you something.
Hairless: What?
WolfDog: Why are you so...so-
Fluffy Rat: Bald? He's a hairless feak that's why!
WolfDog: Oh...well I was gonna ask why he's so pink.
Fluffy Rat: Cause he's BALD!!!!

The rat! Where's its fur? O_O
daretodream86 6 months ago
Wow that's a beautiful dog! I see you said you've worked with husky/wolves for over 7 years. I have considered getting one for a few years but I have a bunny. After seeing the video of your dog being okay with your pet rats (which I think the hairless one is adorable!), what would your opinion be on socializing a wolf dog pup with a bunny? Do you think there is possibility of the wolf dog turning on the bunny later in life?
LiLeeFace 6 months ago
@LiLeeFace Thank you! My only advice would be to have a lot of time on your hands for training. And by this I don't mean, sit, stay and give paw. I mean teaching a dog which is a natural born predator to make 'friends' with what is usually it's meal. As well behaved as Ares is, look at my videos carefully, he never tore his eyes away from the smaller animals. Don't get cocky and never give them 'the' opportunity or they'll take it. They're much more complex then your average everyday dog.
drowningsoul04 6 months ago
@drowningsoul04 P.S Ares currently shares his home with a Netherland Dwarf Rabbit and a young Flemish Giant Rabbit and they live together peacefully. He's lived with Guinea Pigs all his life so it was rather easy to introduce rabbits into the household without any real problem. Good luck and I hope this answered your questions and if you have more then feel free to ask.

Your wolf hybrid is so beautiful!! One question... Are these magnificent creatures difficult to take care of?? :).. Love the video!
HannahEmartin 1 year ago
@HannahEmartin I've worked alongside these sorts of dogs for years and I have to say the best thing you could do is always be one step ahead of them. They're smart and clever and once they learn how to do something it's impossible to erase it from their brain lol It's really all about how you train them and how much time and effort you put into raising them. Any dog can be the worst or best thing that's happened to you all depending on what you teach them and how.

awww...that's so cute!
i'm surprise ur dog didn't freak out and chase after them hahaha...but i'm guessing you have already been having them playing together since ur dog was small right???
I wouldn't keep a rat since i'm scare of touching them and i'm scare of getting bit hahaha...
mayvaaj 1 year ago
@mayvaaj Aw don't be scared of ratties lol I get bit more by hamsters than anything else when I work and imagine, I work with all sorts including moody snakes, scorpions and tarantulas. These are typically the sort of creatures people are normally afraid of but you have more of chance of getting bit by a hamster lol Not all of course! But they are moody little buggers. Rats are more social and adapt very easily and love the attention while hamsters are solitary and prefer to be left alone. ^_^
drowningsoul04 1 year ago 5
@drowningsoul04
omg really? wow its no wonder your not scare of rats hahaha...and now i have learn a new fact that rats do not bite as much as hamsters. My sisters got hamsters before and they would always try to bite her hahaha...i never touch them but look at them cause they are still very cute adorable animals. i love your dog/wolf hahaha..i wanted one but maybe in the future.
mayvaaj 1 year ago
I think my husky/wolf would have destroyed that little critter in an instant even by accident. I'm amazed. Mine has a fluffy wolf tail that doesn't curl up. She looks all wolf, but the vet says she's part husky. She's a sweet thing, but no dogs mess with her. She's very much a loner around other dogs and she just paces while my GSD will play with other dogs.
stingraybch 1 year ago
@stingraybch LOL nice. I have one too but when i took him to the vet and i put that he was a husky so i wouldnt have problems.... the vet said " umm.... im not stupid this is not in anyway a husky...." haha my girlfriend thought it was hilarious but hey im just paranoid! These guys are MORE than dogs. I love him more than anything. He is extremely aggressive out of the house but when hes in the house hes very lovable to all animals even our cat that was killed recently.. -_-
StizaCrack 8 months ago
How much a husky could cost if I thought of buying one, knowing about the brushing hair thing of course?!!
TheDrMusician 1 year ago
