I got the same camera just today. Is it just me or does it seem like everything is zoomed in a little too much. Im not big with terms and video camera jargon but does it have something to do with the lens?
@aleksnmilan I did my research and found out its called the focal length I presume, and this camera has high focal length. Is there a way to change/alter this?
@aleksnmilan It is, but you can buy adapter lenses to fix this. I bought the Panasonic VWW4307HPPK. It's about US$200, and is absolutely fantastic! Granted, you'll need to also buy a step down ring for it, as it is too big for the 550, but that's only US$10. This fixed the "zoomed in" problem for me.
so is this with the advanced image stabilizer? Is it worth it for the AIS? Do you know a difference between AIS and Optical Image Stabalizer? Thank you.
I have just received one of these cameras as a warranty replacement for the earlier JVC HD 30 recorder and we are very happy with it, a big improvement on the first model and a lot easier to use.
That is not what I read on the jvc website. The mention 1080p output when you connect the HM550 with a hdmi cable. I think it record in 1080i. The European PAL version use 25 fps.
hi, I have the same camcorder as you. and image are super nice. but I think their advanced image stabilization is disappointing and not as good as JVC claimed. your video looks like my video a little trembling at times, yet I use the stabilization hand green.
your video is it registered with the stabilization white hand or hand green.
Ive read it has lots of camera sound does it,cant tell with your music.

Hey, great test video. I just got this camcorder myself. How did you export the video? Did you use iMovie? How did you get the 1080p output?
