Since im not irish nor british, ill assume that the interviewer is from the irish republic . If so, accusing the catholics of NI of resorting to terrorism and armed struggle against the british when, 50 years before, the same thing was used in the rest of ireland with the same purpose, smells like hipocrisy.
So the ones who caused death and destruction in the independence war are saints and the ones involved in the troubles are murderers?

as it was after the war of independence we wer sold out in the north by the parliament in dublin, and ever since then they have turned there back on the north!!and the civil war in ireland never sorted that out!! the west of ireland were the only counties in the south that continued to fight the stuggle with the north.....

I remember this also, Adams was not fully prepared but I think he can be forgiven as a devolved government returned to Northern Ireland at more or less the same time as the Irish elections and this I believe is why he was not fully prepared. It would be been very difficult to juggle both, maybe he took on too much at the time?
