  • Play same songs at the same time.

  • amazing effin song

  • This song is irrefutable proof of Pearl Jam's cutting edge originality & innovative uniqueness! More-over, 1993, when this song came out, was truly the end of an era based upon such originality & innovative musical ideas, & that's this real shame! So to Pearl Jam, I salute you, your spirit, brilliant originality, passion, for your keen understanding of society's ills & various problems, & for writing awesome, super cool & utterly euphoric inducing music that is very hard to come by these days!

  • @sxlfkta Yeah! What this guy said!!

  • @sxlfkta i have know i dea what half of those words mean but i like it

  • @sxlfkta Right on!!! They had an unimaginable, keen insight on the future of American society. Twenty years later, there has not been any other musical/lyrical genius that compares. Our country is at a very historic and significant juncture. Celebrities can have a major impact on politics and can influence peoples opinions regarding the path that Washington has this great nation moving towards. Eddie has voiced his opinion in the past presidential elections. Where does he stand today??

  • @sxlfkta Well I hear quite a bit "U2" (Achtung Baby) here .-)

  • @sxlfkta Very speech like :) I felt while I was reading your comment I was attending an awards ceremony for some stupid music awards. Nicely said...

  • white ,male, american.

  • @arevalsmith I'm pretty sure its "White Man Alert"....

  • dums= unreal ...

  • @arevalsmith learn how to spell.dums = drums

  • @arevalsmith Yeah, you're right.

DUMS are unreal, there's no such things as dums lmao.

  • Well Manicured Ass

  • WMA = wipe my ASS!!!

  • @sxlfkta What's that Wimpy Moron Ass?

  • @bmtusmc Wow, you sure as hell can write! What eloquence, what brilliance, what passion! Your words just floor me. You certainly bring the level of You Tube discourse to this much higher, more intellectual plane. Peace out bro! TTrain!!!

  • What does W.M.A stand for? I see it's White Man American below me, but is that a joke?...

  • @Duststorm1997 It's actually White Male American.

  • White Man American.

  • autopsy results showed Green died of at least 14 blows to the head in a Nov. 5 beating that tore off part of his scalp

  • Jesus greets me , looks just like me....

  • I rly love this, I feel that Lil' Wayne's early work was very profound.

  • is there any video showing how Dave Abbruzese play this live??? or even some drum tutorials? pleeeeeeeeeeease.. listen this toon for more then 10 years, watch them in concert and still need to see Dave Abruzzese!

  • @budibausto dude its a paradiddle (RLRRLRLL) played on the toms and looped over.. simple but effective

  • @ZAP001001 thx mate...I thought about it, but I wasn't sure. I dont play drums in years regularly, shame on me! I bet one is a snare without chains. Wish I could practice this on a real set. At the moment I'm smashing my chair

  • @budibausto yeah he probably had a 25 piece kit for the recording so a couple of different snares like u said... and dude, don't smash your chair up.. when all else fails, a condom stretched over a saucepan is all ya need haha

    laters bud, keep practicing

  • Anyone notice how similar the drums sound to Alice in Chains "sickman", which was released just a year before this? Love both bands, don't get me wrong :)

  • I feel like an old man when I criticize new music these days but this is just better. Thank god I grew up rocking out to this!

  • psychedelic!

  • I won PCH not the lottery.

  • definately a tribal feel to this song, like it's exposing our us vs. them animalism.

  • FUCK YEAH! where the hell is music like this today? am i living under a rock or is it just shit? My only complaint is these headphones arn't loud enough.....if it doesn't give you tinnitus, it needs to be louder.

  • Fuaek Yea mad days... i cant believe its been a yr since a comment you tiprat teenie boppen ringworm crackers

  • No doubt that Pearl Jam has this very powerful & compelling message to convey & spread! For much of their music just resonates with power, passion, social justice & magic, as if they are trying to bring awareness of society's varied & pressing problems & cultural tribulations to the forefront. Very few bands have done it as well, & with as much talent, musical prowess & authenticity!

  • @sxlfkta have another bong, great music but.

  • Pearl Jam At There Best!

  • So much anger in this song... I love it.

  • its too bad they cant pull this off live anymore, saw a vid where they tried it and it just wasn't the same. wonder what it is that is so challenging for them probably the drums?

  • Jesus greets me ,looks just like me.

  • W.M.A We're Majorly Awesome

  • The sound quality on the early Pearl Jam CDs is amazing and full of dynamics. You really appreciate this when you start to crank them up on a really good hi-fi stereo system with good speakers. It just sounds so amazing and live, so incredible. Such a shame the Loudness Wars had to ruin the quality of music at the start of the 2000's.

  • anyone here get the graphic on the album cover??? imma doubt it. hint: lamb vs fence.

  • Im not saying that Whites today ole the Blacks any special treatment, or that Whites today should feel bad for the actions of people who they don't even know. It's just a FACT that it takes a long time to get past racial stigmas. Like the comic Carlos Mencea says, "In America we all get a turn" and right now post 911 it's the Arabs turn. Welcome to the greatest country in the known universe. AMERICA!

  • By the 18th century, colonial courts and legislatures had racialized slavery, essentially creating a caste system in which slavery applied nearly exclusively to Black Africans and people of African descent, and occasionally to Native Americans. So till the 1950's Blacks have been a second class people. Who eles in Americas great history can say the same? I don't think anyone can. The point is as again a lot of races suffered to make our great country what it is. Blacks were the hardest hit!

  • Vetis213, you have a point I did leave out Natives to this great country. All people at some time were murdered by the ruleing power at the time. But it's a huge difference from having your land taken then to be taken from your land! Then made to work and be treated like animals. Slaves were no better than someones live stock, that they could do what they will with. Natives along with a lot of "non white" people were treated bad no doubt. Blacks were the only not to be thought of as HUMANS!

  • @Treachery3

gotta disagree with you. there was incentive to keep slaves alive; not the same thing with native americans. there's a difference between being taken from your land as opposed to having your land taken from you, but then again native americans make up about one percent of the population of the country today.

  • It goes like this, since blacks were the hardest hit when it came to a start in the U.S. it's hard to over come. Even now everyone is just wowed by the fact we have our first "Black" president when in fact his mom was white. All other races had it bad also, (Asians, Polish, Irish, Itialians) But the after 40 years or so of mixing, it's hard to tell on white from another. THERE IS NO MISTAKING IT IF YOUR BLACK! But at the end of the day what ever color you are being american is still the best!

  • @Treachery3 blacks harder hit than the natives who lived there first? dont think so.

  • Police are made to profile. That's part of what the song is saying. Police injustus is real, and just like everything in life it's not all police. If you are a white male on the "wrong side of town" the police will profile you for tring to buy drugs. If you are ion the "good side of town" and you are black, maybe you have a white girlfriend that you are visiting and if I'm a racisist cop it may piss me off. Maybe you're tring to steal form the good people, so I gotta shake you down.

  • GREAT BASS LINE.........

  • jtminutisme1 and beestmode360tube shit dosent just full from the sky we had to work to get were we are today pearl jam is white eny way im white and im so sick of black pepl complaining all the time i dident do shit to them

  • Classic Vedder, classic Pearl Jam!

  • this is pearl jam's best album

  • come to suomi

  • Not digging the White/Male or American "guilt" trip. Those attitudes and the people who spread them are part of the real problem. If it looks like a hippie, talks like a hippie... Yeah this would have been better as an instrumental. Sweet music.

  • @PhoenixHeartRecords Hmmm... Pearl Jam May Be "Stoners" NOT "Hippies".... Hippies Are Real AssHoles.

  • @LordPrick hahaha, nicely said man

  • @shickywhicky Now That I Look At It .... It IS Possible That PEARL JAM ARE A Bunch Of HIPPIE ASSHOLES!!! Well... The Other Night I Was Listening To "TEN"... And I Started To Figure Out That Eddie And The Boys Are Working On "A Union List" For Some Fantasy-Pool "War Effort"... Just So You Know... The Music Sucks And I Hate War ANYWAYS.... I Am A Stoner And An Artist And I Stay The Fuck Away From "Sign-Ups" And "Boot Camp Psychiatrist- Preppies"("HIPPIES")...

  • @LordPrick Well, it is aparent that you have your own problems, asshole

  • @PhoenixHeartRecords This song was written because eddie vedder was upset when police officers were hassling his black friend but not him (eddie vedder being a white male american).

As for the problem you might be mentioning, regardless of the fact that America is the land of the free, whites, especially white males, make more money and are born with more privileges than minorities, generally. If you think that fixing this (what this song is about) is a "problem", then you need some real help.

  • @beestmode360tube Eddie's personal experience/inspiration is not implicit in the song, though it would seem some of the lyrics reference it. The way it is perceived (its effect) is more important. The culture, laws, and societal structure have become increasingly "PC", with "affirmative action" against whites/men and the racist/sexist attitudes that inspire it are reinforced by it. I don't call that "fixing" anything. It is the problem, and if you can't see that, your the one who needs help.

  • @PhoenixHeartRecords Affirmative action isn't "against whites", it's FOR the underprivileged and poor who don't share the same opportunities that the average white male has. BLACK WOMEN make around 65% of what a white male makes. I'm sorry your conservative view makes you think that this isn't a problem. I'm not saying that all white men should be hated because of their privileges but rather white men such as myself and probably you as well shouldn't call affirmative action a problem.

  • @beestmode360tube Sorry but white people are just smarter than blacks, period

  • @beestmode360tube the labour admitted that there is no pay gap

  • @Zac6230 hmmm... I just turned on my tv today and cnn was on and guess what was the first thing that that little bar on the bottom said? Guess.

    it said

"African american pay gap still prevalent"

    BOOM

  • @beestmode360tube the only thing that prove sis that you're lying and easily brainwashed by propaganda, not everything is on tv is from an accurate and relibale source BOOM !

  • @Zac6230 Let's think... Who should I trust more? Random youtube user Zac6230? Or... CNN?

I'll take my chances with CNN.

    And I wasn't lying.

Go suck your own penis so hard that it falls off, then consume it with sauteed mushrooms.

  • @beestmode360tube you're very naive ,the labour board has said otherwise, stop making excuses for being a failure with your eternal victim mentality, now back to work Id ' like big mac and a supersize coke and fries too ! did you get all of that?

  • @beestmode360tube mmmm, sauteed mushrooms.

  • @beestmode360tube Thanks for being educated on this issue, and setting the people who are ignorant about such things, not by their failt, but not being experienced in thiese matters, straight. Cool beans

  • sounds like sickman intro

  • One of my son's(!) (and mine of course), favorite song at his age of 4!!!

    Excellent bass, fantastic drums!!!

  • Opinions are opinios but 90's is da shit and best years of rock N' roll.

  • This music made me want to play bass lol

  • same , started playing in 92 and still going ..

  • Great song and horrible audio codec.

  • haha i get it

  • @DieselGrunge Exactly :/

  • fell in love from the first sound

  • i would play this song over and over for years

  • this song made me move away

  • From Seattle?

  • I can not stop listening to this song.

  • Such great lyrics. I remember when I saw them live and before playing Insignificance he said I know a lot of lyrics I have written are meaningless but we have got some songs that have great lyrics. WMA is another one with great lyrics. Although I love every Pearl Jam song :p Meaningless lyrics or not :D

  • How much do I love this song...i think this is def my favorite version too...Pearl Jam rules, will always be one of my favs.

  • love the bass line YEAH

  • @1broertjepk1 YEAH BASS IS FUCKIN AWESOME

  • @1broertjepk1 yea man, jeff ament is a pretty good bass player

  • Everything of this song is just great..! I'll never forget the bass melody of this song

  • so sad some things change...and some things never do

  • one of the best songs ive ever heard...

too bad they went astray from this style

  • Pure grunge: distorsion, agressiveness, power, dark vocal melodies. Vs was a great album, different to Ten. Actually, it was more similar to the sound of other Seattle bands at that time like Soundgarden, Nirvana, Mudhoney or Screaming Trees. Ten had more of classic rock, I'd say. As Nirvana, they went for a less accesible album after their sucess; that proves their sincere attitude!

Anyway, just my opinion and love both records! :)

  • VS. was the real Pearl Jam... Ten was like a new "MotherloveBone" record. I think the band really found themselves with Vs. !

  • Damn this song rocks! The first time I heard it I was driving toward downtown SEattle on I90 where you first get a glimpse of the skyline, very cool.

  • the fuckin police stopped my bro again, fuckin pigs.

  • this song has a certain eroticism to it, very cool

  • Played this track to fucking death in '93.

  • I once heard a version where his voice was so clear and loud, I can't here anything here...

  • Pearl Jam is an amzing band. I`m not a die-hard fan but really enjoy the power of their music. And Eddie Vedder is one of my favourite figures in Rock music.

  • what up c hope all is well.peace,m

  • I love the bass riff!

  • i think this band will go down as one of the best band ever.one day they will be in the hall of fame.keep rockin p.j.you made alot of memorys of my 20's for me,thanks to all the grundge bands for making rock a fresh scene again.i love metal and was so happy to see the hairbands who thought they were metal die.i'm more into megadeth, ironmaiden ect, bands like that from those days, really kicked some ass back in my rebelous teenage years.up the irons, thank god for kurt cobain.r.i.p kurt, peace

  • do know wrong so clean cut dirty his hands it comes rite off .police man.police stopped my brother again!police stopped my brother again!policeman! policeman!
