You know, I've played a lot of games with awesome villains, but I think Irenicus is my favorite (due in no small part to David Warner's phenomenal acting).

He starts out as a sinister mystery, then slowly progresses into a much bigger threat as you realize what he's up to, and then you learn his past and can see what he truly is; a tragic villain driven to the brink of madness by a mesmerizing combination ambition and vengeance.

I'm Bons from PPG, and it's a nice surprise that anyone liked this enough to load it on YouTube years later. I put this mix together in one frenzied night after another IE Modder linked me The Picard Song. It seemed to me that David Warner's voice acting deserved equal treatment. For those looking for a copy you can find it on the PPG website and do a Save Link As to save rather than stream the song.

theres an easy trick for killing mind flayers at early levels putminsc into a beserk and he becomes immune to mind blast so all they do is stand there mind blasting him as he kills them XD great vid btw

Joneleth. an all-powerful elven mage who's had his and his sister's soul, and with it their immortality taken away for seeking power, no matter how dire the cost. thus he became Jon Irenicus. one can't live without a soul, so he had to use his magic and alchemy to lengthen his life, while his sister resorted to vampirism. neither were a permanent solution, and so came the idea of stealing the souls of 2 of Bhaal's children. that should sum up his reasons.

Irenicus is David Warner, Anomen is Rob Paulsen the same person who voiced Yakko in Animaniacs and many other cartoons, Minsc voiced by Jim Cummings who also voices Pooh, Tigger, Taz Devil. You even have the voice of Megatron Frank Welker in BG2, Billy West of Fry of Futurama, Tress MacNeille of many voices in the Simpsons in BG2, Jennifer Hale who plays Miss Keane in PPG etc etc.

Irenicus is an interesting villain, he is a an elven mage that tried to challenge the elven gods, the seldarine themself. As punishment for this he are stripped of his immortality along with his "sister" Bhodi. Basically this is what makes him so mad, being a very mortal human rather then an elf do not suit his taste so he are out for revenge.

No, it says RPG on the package, but an RPG means you make your own decisions, in Diablo you just take orders, there are no "accept or deny" elements, at least not in the two first games. Baldur´s Gate 2 and Icewind Dale 2 rules most other games if you ask me.
