  • Whats the difference between theses hip hop guys and there late 20's early 30's"old them looks. This guy with his hip hop hat and some punk rock guy with his long hair and leather jacket and budweiser beer can? There is no difference, this guy has money and he could dress like an adult,he got business money so he could be in a suit but he would rather look like mr hip hop.

  • whatever man !

  • LEGEND

  • grand you are , you are a master , your name is Flash , thumbs up for Grandmaster Flash

  • Flash, I need your permission to post this video on my website. We have a video in which Dj East 137 speaks of the 80's and 90's in Mitchell Housing and it showcases the building directly in front of 54 park. DJ East also has a song in which you are mentioned as an inspiration.

  • Mad fly, I'm from building 352 in front of 54 park. I was little, but I saw you rock " I can't stop", drove me to be inspired.

  • History right here, thanks for this one Flash.

  • respect to the master

  • glad this dude made a channel.. not very humble, but when u really have a history like he does i guess u don't need to be!!

  • Yo Flash come on man wheres the rest of the joint?

  • i like the cuban music in the background

  • Flash is larger than life. What he did as a dj is bigger many people know

  • @onetimepeace Ah man, yo its good to hear somebody acknowledge that fact aloota people and not all JS1 fans either, think Jazzy Jeff( is to me the next Flash) invented cuttin & scratching, to really understand what Flash is you gotta go to the TK Fever Fun house Roxy these parks etc. What he did on wax is incredible too but Flash is the straight up INNOVATOR and most DJ's idolized. I knew Chris Rock was a real ni66a, when I saw Flash spinnin the Chris Rock show.

  • Whats the name of the song at the beginning ?

  • @NiclasKk Get Up and Dance by FREEDOM

  • ITS PAUL MOONEY! I DIDNT KNOW HE DJ'D

  • @youcantfoolme99

  • sup people.....thogs neck stand up...yo this is ice-ice from dewey ave....cosmic force emcees....grand wizard boobie boob whatup!

  • two turntables and a mic.... and a love for the music..... back then it was disco and funk.... today, everybody borrows from what we had to physically spin back and forth on wax.

Understand, this ain't a game, youngstas. This is a movement we call hip-hop.

  • I grew up in the Mitchell Projects right behind you. We moved in 360 behind you in 1965 apt 6j. Do you go to the reunions every last Saturday in July? it's gonna be great next year. You should be there!

  • Much respect for this Flash...Hip Hop history.

  • Wow,History from the one and only.Thank you. DjBizzyb53

  • Grandmaster Flash, You Should Have A Honnor Sign From The Light Post Where You First Tapped Into To Say " This is The Power That Started It All" Much Love!

  • thank u flash!

  • Yeah flash, nice to see it!!!!!. P

  • Take notes kids - The Bronx is Mecca !!!!

  • I have a question, where did you plug everything into for power?

  • Alot of them tapped into the electrical supply for the street lamps to power their equipment risking serious injury or death. And they took that risk out of their love for music.

  • @Grenozh Into the lamp post/street light...

  • thanks big brother

  • From the horses mouth, as real as it gets, no mediation, no edits, personally from the man to you.

    This is great man thanks.

Its real inspiring. I remember the feeling of playing those little parties in tight little rooms, or those little abandoned places, even garages.

I think i wanna try something like that again. Keep it secret and play some amazing sets.

  • The 80's!

  • Thank you for sharin' your journey with the masses Flash!!...

    Much love Respect!!!...

  • Amen brother Flash. Hip-Hop History right here. Can't wait to tell my subscribers bout this!

  • To walk the stomping grounds with the man himself is surreal!

    This history is so vital.

Much love for doing this Flash!

  • That is what it's all about, the real true info on the hip/hop tip. Flash keep bringing the real heat on hip/hop!!!

  • There it is right there! Str8 4rm the legend himself.....Important information an part of hip hop history!.......Keep it comin' Flash!

  • Flash keep doing your thing man!!

  • This is truly a remarkable series. I commend you, Flash, for taking the time out and willingly showing us the authentic roots of hip-hop - something that gets pushed to the side too often in today's media-crazed music industry.
