@Anfirien He's not THAT bad. I think that James is awesome for the majority of Dream Theater's concerts, but on world tours, you can't blame him for his voice kind of burning out during the last songs of the sets (Pull Me Under is usually played near the end of most concerts).

Portnoy already sealed the deal a long time ago...he is undeniably a legend in the drumming world, no question. His playing is flawless, & he even sings...that's fucking incredible! His double-bass work is always spot-on. His showmanship & stick twirling is amazing to watch. What more could anyone want...this man has obviously reached the highed level possible with DT. So how many awards has he won anyway? Is it really that hard to accept that he wants to explore other options in his life?

the thing is this is closer to the origional metal than any other kind, it is just the style of how they sing, yeah sure he might hit a flat note once or twice but he's probably been touring for ages and thats probably a long ass night that theyve just performed. so yeah, try to do what they do and be completely perfect.
