  • that bird deserves a girlfriend after performance like that

  • TRY MIMICKING ME! MUAHAHA!! lol --note to self, dont go near the bird on sugar... and dont comment on sugar...--

  • this voice truth ??!!

  • r2d2

  • Amazing!!!

  • ahhhh natures recorders

  • it cant mimic chuck norris!

  • It's impressing me, thats for sure! I'd probably bang it.

  • No way, I'm going to have to see this to believe it.

    Or do more research.

Thx for the interesting upload, you have my curiosity.

  • @alotosius

You did just see it... anyway, it is real.

  • language is the problem with all things including god

  • that bird is freeking awesome!!

  • best beat boxer in the world

  • and this has what to do with mimicking birds.......

  • this bird must be pretty damn awesome to have superb in front of its name.

  • ho in the world did u get in an argument about religion on a vid about birds?

  • I'm not getting involved in this trolling bitchslapping fight ...

  • 2:38, and thats the sound of someone having diarhhea in the forest

  • Bahaha. Stupid Athiest.

  • When, or how, did evolution construct the complicated structure we call the eye? Even Darwin was not happy with his theory for failing to answear this. Don't accuse others of dishonesty until your ready to honest yourself. Thanks for the video. Love it.

  • @fonkdawg Wow. Talk about dishonesty! Yes Darwin was happy with his explanation of the evolution of the eye. Let me guess, you heard Ray Comfort's half-quotation of Darwin "To suppose that the eye with all its inimitable contrivances for adjusting the focus to different distances, for admitting different amounts of light, and for the correction of spherical and chromatic aberration, could have been formed by natural selection, seems, I freely confess, absurd in the highest degree."

  • @TheLostRealist513 No, I've never heard of RC. And the mechanisms with which the eye focuses and controls exposure are not the problem with believing that natural selection seems a far-fetched theory. I believe that because 1/100,000 of an eye does no good at all, and is completely useless as far as the survival of the species goes, it is not logical to assume retention of this subtle change to be built onto, when it resulted in no survival improvement.

  • Comment removed

  • @TheLostRealist513 1) 1/100,000 of an eye is MUCH better than no eye at all. A worm that has developed a few light-sensitive cells will be much better off than a worm with nothing. A small animal with a tiny pin-hole "camera lens" will do better than a small animal with only a few light-sensitive cells. And so on with ears, immune systems, cardio-vascular systems, etc.

  • @TheLostRealist513 The point that I wanted to make was simply that you should calm down and stop being so wrapped up in your atheism that it makes you lash out at people -- wording up, negative character suggestions, etc. Its useless and pointless. And there has never been any fossil found that shows evidence for the slow, subtle changes that you believe lead to sight completely by random accident. Be content to not know, like the rest of us who dare to be so humble.

  • @fonkdawg No, that's not the point that you were trying to make. Saying "When, or how, did evolution construct the complicated structure we call the eye? Even Darwin was not happy with his theory for failing to answear this" is NOT trying to tell anybody to "calm down". What you were doing was intentionally starting an argument with somebody who wants to counter-attack this kind of nonsense. "Don't accuse others of dishonesty until your ready to honest yourself."

    Maybe you should try that.

  • @fonkdawg "And there has never been any fossil found that shows evidence for the slow, subtle changes that you believe lead to sight completely by random accident."

Ok, now you're just lying. There are LOADS of transitional fossils that have been documented showing the slow and subtle changes that take place. Look up the fossil records for horses if you are interested.

    "...completely by random accident"

The mutations themselves are random, but the process of natural selection is not.

  • @TheLostRealist513 Wooooo....I get hit with the Big-Fat-Liar defense. OK, I looked up the fossil records of horses. Fully developed eyes as far back as anything that I could find. When there are huge gaps in fossil evidence, leaps of faith are made with regard to where the "trail" must have left off. This is no longer science, but guesses with no support. By the way do you actually drool, or does spittle spray from your mouth when you are defending what amounts to your religion: atheism?

  • @fonkdawg Of COURSE there are gaps in the fossil record. Only a very small fraction of corpses die in just the right place to actually fossilize. But we have enough transitional fossils to paint the basic picture. And DNA evidence proves beyond a reasonable doubt, and beyond any unreasonable doubts, that all species have a common ancestor. The last pope JP2 said as much.

And no, my stupid creationist friend, atheism is not a religion. It is the lack of religion.

  • @fonkdawg Saying that atheism is a religion is like saying that "bald" is a hair color. It is you with your childish imaginary friend who must constantly take leaps of faith to try to justify the world around you.

I on the other hand simply go in the direction which the evidence leads.

And the only time I drool is when I am contemplating the vast emptiness of space and the absolutely mind-blowing phenomena that occur in our universe.

  • @TheLostRealist513 - Atheism is still a belief. Atheism is an idea that wouldn't even exist without theism, which is something that shouldn't even exist. People are not inherently atheist. That's why I'm agnostic. I doubt everything that has to do with theism and atheism since both are not provable. The odds of one being true are astronomically vague. Atheism is not a religion, belief is not religion, rectangle is not square, Atheism IS belief.

  • @danielodors but you are wrong on all of your points. Religion is indeed a belief. A square is indeed a rectangle. Agnosticism is the same thing as atheism when the question is "do you believe in God?". Atheism is not a belief anymore than 'bald' is a hair color. 'Bald' is the absence of hair and atheism is the absence of a religious belief. It is NOT necessarily the belief that there is no god, rather it is simply the lack of belief.

  • @danielodors And as far as your comment that "Atheism is an idea that wouldn't even exist without theism..." you're right. Atheism is a reactionary position. Religion says something and atheism says "wait, you haven't convinced me that what you believe is actually true".

  • @TheLostRealist513 - I see what you mean. I do want to clear up that I meant to say that a rectangle is not always a square, just like belief is not religion. I realized that after I clicked post.

  • @TheLostRealist513 I see why you call yourself the "lost" realist. Actually, to be totally honest (difficult, during a temper tantrum, I know) saying atheism is a religion is more like saying "bald" is a hair "style". Going with the "color" metaphor is a purposeful distortion -- what we call a straw-man. Your evidence is imaginary, and that's why all you've done is attack me. To assume that I take leaps of faith to justify the world is simply another belligerent straw-man. Space isn't empty

  • @fonkdawg Wow. glad to see that you responded in such a timely manor. lol. "[My] evidence is imaginary". Such as?

And yes, my color analogy does stand up because atheism is still not a religion, but rather the lack of religion.

In no way, shape, or form have I made straw men out of your arguments. I don't need to. Your arguments are so weak that they fall apart without my help.

  • @fonkdawg (2) Why don't you try reading the entire paragraph that Darwin wrote. You will see that IMMEDIATELY following the previous quote, he goes on to explain the small subtle changes brought upon by evolution via natural selection. Try doing some research before spouting off with your non-sensical creationist bullshit propaganda. Have a nice day! :-)

  • Lots of pissed off Atheists in here, you guys got your panties in a bunch?

  • @Backyardboss Unrelenting stupidity can get annoying.

  • @Mackaframmalamma Yes, yes it can.

  • @Backyardboss And...lyre birds and religion has soooo much in common...oh wait...

  • The most awesome part of this bird was the chainsaw :O Haha, evolution is great isn't it?

  • He's a Lyre for love.

  • one of the best things i have ever seen, i love this video!!..

  • So, now we know, who was sitting inside R2D2.

  • I don't log into Youtube to see people bitching about useless shit like fucking religion... keep that shit to yourself or go tell your other bible thumping friends about it because frankly, WE DON'T GIVE A SHIT!!!

  • I don't log into Youtube to see people bitching fucking religion... Keep that shit to yourself...

  • But you can believe in evolution!!! In that there is no "God" And I always know that gravity is, one giant mass pulling much smaller masses closer, such as your fat mom and your tiny dick...

  • I guess God sure does have a sense of humor! LOL

  • I think there is the guy from Police Academy sitting right behind the bird.

  • Can everyone stop with the God crap, some people believe some don't, stop trying to prove God created evolution, nobody can prove it. People are entitled to believe or not believe.

  • @bilbus2 Meh, I just say evolution is God. So I believe in God, which means I believe in evolution!

  • @K1w1Fu "I just say Up means Down and Left means Right. I don't care that I'm misleading people as long as they like me when I'm talking to them."

  • @Mackaframmalamma But if someone is upside down relative to you and facing the other way from you, then your "up" is their "down," and your "left" their right! How can you be so sure that everyone is figuratively standing rightside-up relative to you? In other words, how can you know that the supposedly "correct directions" that you give will lead everyone to the same place?

  • @K1w1Fu Nice try. An individual's physical perspective doesn't change the definition of a word.

  • @K1w1Fu Would you give up your bullshit? Evolution doesn't mean god. No matter where you stand or the direction in which gravity pulls you. You know you're being dishonest.

  • @Mackaframmalamma No. If I'm wrong, I'm being ignorant at worst. So, would someone as enlightened as you care to educate me? Why don't you think God and evolution go hand-in-hand?

  • all of ya just stfu arguin in comments over an animal's ability...damn

  • @K1w1Fu Only sheep need a shepherd

  • @K1w1Fu - and without Takion, god wouldn't exist

  • @K1w1Fu its possible to know beacause there is cientific proof, and the religious proof is either gossip or a book written by men. a book with great stories and great moral, but still a book written by men like you and me, that can't be taken as proof to anything.

  • @kazuyamochu Religion and mythology is necessary ask the questions that poke holes in scientific discovery. The acceptance of consciousness and chaotic systems shows that no matter how much we think we know, there is almost always something that will create an exception. Until we find a rule that has absolutely no exceptions, we can't be sure that anything is definitively proven. For now, the best we can do is reason from experience.

  • @K1w1Fu there are more then 20 religions in the world that can't prove anything, and each religion believes that all other religions are wrong. if probability is anything to go by, theres a huge change everyone is wrong. religion and mythology aren't necessary to ask questions to cience, its the other way around. 50 years ago, there was alot more that cience didn't explain, but nowdays, crediting and invisble man in the sky for the creation of everything is a bit naive

  • @K1w1Fu

Lmfao, what a convoluted load of bullshit.

  • @Vire70 I tried.

  • @K1w1Fu You're entitled to your beliefs but these subjects usually get out of hand, all i'm saying.

  • @bilbus2 Most of the time, we're bored, don't have a life, or just can't think of anything else better to do, or a combination thereof!

  • Michael Winslow eat your heart out. Lol.

  • @ibeliveification That's right! That was his name. Thanks!

  • This is haliruos. my dad and i where CRACKING UP.!

  • 2:14 Zoom zoom zoom... ;-))

  • Just stop it, NOBODY knows for sure if god exists or not. You can have your guess but don't go around and act as if its a fact.

  • @ohAlanho But we can still stop and look at what's more plausible, can't we? + it's bucketloads of fun, sometimes.

  • The freaking thing sounds like a recorder, perfectly replaying sounds.

  • I would kill it just to see what would happen.

  • MAN this stuff is like a drug to me

  • thats sad how chainsawers work cutting the forest down i bet those birds are very rare

  • @emoxblackeye tree hugger

  • whahah this is so cool i whant to have 1 i put it in my car and make it a alarm sistem whahah lol

  • I bet in the past they used these are recording tapes

  • i want one of those birds and have it say "welcome all" whenever anyone comes in, and if someone breaks in i will have it mimic a car alarm and gun fire

  • Oh all-powerful and mysterious natural selection! Oh beneficent and imaginative creator of all things: the Sex Drive! This must be proof! Proof! Of your existence!

  • he swallowed a voice recorder :D

  • whahaha do you think that :P lol you can make it a car alarm from it lol

  • LSD would make this bird so much fun to talk to.

  • That bird is by far the most skilled animal in vocal mimicry. It's absolutely amazing.

  • Can it not be decided that there is a god, and its this bird, or maybe david attenborough?

  • im Very disturbed by this bird.......one animal shouldn't be making those sounds.

  • whahaha do you think that :P lol you can make it a car alarm from it lol

  • I wonder if this means that this bird can speak human languages! Perhaps we could teach them!

  • @Faawl nope. you couldn't teach him talk. the bird has no idea what he's mimicing. If he'd run thru the bushes around you yelling ''ass-wipe'' for an example , don't feel offended because the bird has no idea what it actually means :D

  • WTF.. how is perfectibilisti's comment realated to this video...U gap theorists...appreciate the beauty of nature and dont bring in that unknown being of ur's...

  • How advanced is this birds voicebox?

  • Oh thank God Almighty Jesus Christ for this amazing bird!

  • yes praise the lord heavenly father for these heavenly being that are singing to God their providor and playing for us who cherishes Gods pure love for us. may god bless you

  • Attenborough must have tick bites older than my gramma

  • Actually I used to live in Byron Bay near the rainforest for many years, with Lyrebirds and many other types of beautiful song birds and talking birds. Black, white, yellow crested, Cockatoos/iels Parrots, lorikeets, rosellas. Nothing wrong with having a philosophical discussion with a bird, but I find swearing a real turn-off.

  • LadyFlusterbustle, I misunderstood you and owe you an apology.

Mackaframmalamma, I had felt bad about your comments being pirated. Now that you've revealed yourself as being Godless, you deserve what you've got coming. It's wrong to tell believers to "grow up" just because you yourself are faithless.

Do you accept evolution? I do too, but NOT the exclusion of God. Whom do you think created the universe, the materials in it, the very conditions that made evolution even possible??

  • U serious with the chainsaw?

  • This is actually real? I assume it is, but it's just so unbelievably amazing.

  • look on wiki or somthing.

  • Evolution is much more magnificent than god

  • @timothy51886 I respectfully disagree. Your comment implies that gods are somewhat magnificent. In my opinion, reason is magnificent, gods are not, never have been, and never will be.

  • @ionpal Good point, that is what I meant to say. I suppose I was trying to be indirect to help ease the blow of the vicious and psychotic attacks of the creationists

  • @timothy51886 Ahaha, I just felt like being overly harsh. You got your point across loud and clear. :D

Honestly, I've never seen creationists as being capable of being vicious, just annoying.

  • @timothy51886 @timothy51886 Ahaha, I just felt like being overly harsh. You got your point across loud and clear. Honestly, I've never seen creationists as being capable of being vicious, just annoying. :D

  • @timothy51886 I think God created evolution

  • @timothy51886 evolution woundent be possible if god hadnt started it all i believe in id not som crap like god made man and it was good god made the elements wich allowed the possibility for amino acids to form whicch then continued to combine eventually creating us so yeah thanks be to god

  • great..God had made great things..exist this bird one of my friends saw this

  • God doesn't exist, btw.

  • @Mackaframmalamma if God doesn't exist so u don't exist too

  • Exactly which one(s) of the thousands of gods out there are required for existence of a human being?

Actually, never mind. This is about the bird so let's keep the comments relevant.

  • @mikigrecu cogito ergo sum

  • @Vennificus sum ergo Deus est!!!!

  • 8D admittedly Descartes's argument used the assumption of a benevolent god, but it brings forth a separate but related argument, That we think is the only thing we can conclusively prove, thus I can exist without god. If I am not god, then I can exist without god, If I am, then I do not need to worry

  • Carthusian metaphysical arguments, put in Jesuit Descartes' 'Meditations', supported the notion that the 'Devil' made what we think of as our natural world, in order to tempt man away from 'God'. Eventually Descartes got 'the help he needed' (StayUgly) from Queen Christina of Denmark who, taking him at his word, put him through a rigorous routine of early rising and denial of the flesh, from which he caught pneumonia and did not survive.

  • Whoops, Queen Christina of Sweden [not Denmark]. Descartes pneumonia has also been attributed to his nursing the French ambassador who had the disease although Queen Christina insisted he rise as early as five in the morning to begin his duties. Also I meant to say ... away from 'God' who [Descartes maintained] lies within.

  • Vennificus... As a Jesuit and noted 17C philosopher with ideologies still central to the Catholic Churches' teaching, Descartes' solipsism and his argument of 'I think therefore I am' centres on the human soul's perilous journey through a false yet alluring world made by the devil (nature) whereas he maintains that 'God's' world is within. Personally I prefer to listen to the Lyre bird than Carthusian ideologies. Also Moshm4n the reverse of what you say must also be true.

  • You claim that nature comes from Satan??? What a bunch of errant rubbish! Satan can only lie and destroy. GOD creates. The world and all its wonders are gifts from Him. But we are only stewards of this world, and we are answerable to God for our conduct here, and how we care for it.

  • This is the Jesuit, Descartes' POV not mine rocketman63. Like you I am not a skeptic and vear more towards the epistemological argument. Vennifus... One thinks with a material brain. Who is to say that once the brain does not exists then we think no more? I don't think therefore I'm not?

  • @squigglewacks Suuuure! The bird doesn't exist, but your "god" does. Just stay calm. The men in the nice white uniforms will give you all the help you need.

  • @Mackaframmalamma

try this video: Mahatma Gandhi : Audio : Spiritual Message (On God), 1931

  • @spiningaway What about it? It's basically a list of baseless claims.

"Where there is realization outside the senses it is infallible"

It doesn't be much dumber than that.

"I confess that I have no argument to convince through reason."

    At least he admits it.

  • @Mackaframmalamma I think that subconsciously everybody know that God exists, but due to many reasons some admit it and some don't.

thats my opinion my friend, I don't argue with you :)

  • @Mackaframmalamma how do u think everything got here..?

  • @VinPWNZ I don't know how it all started. Neither do you.

  • @VinPWNZ By a perfectly reasonable series of events.

  • By "God" you mean "evolution", right?

  • @mikigrecu What are you babbling about?

  • @mikigrecu god who?

  • Oh, and re. some of the STUPID comments below about this being fake: it is NOT fake. Google 'Lyrebird' and you'll see this bird exists. This was a BBC programme presented by Sir David Attenborough, the most highly-respected living wildlife broadcaster in the world.

There is a genuine world of wonder out there that isn't created by bloody CGI, sound FX or Photoshop.

  • This isn't fake. I have seen them in the wild, they are utterly extraordinary creatures.

  • If making those incredible sounds wasn't extraordinary enough, it even mimics the natural ACOUSTICS of the sounds too - when he does his chainsaw, it contains a small amount of reverb, giving it the impression the chainsaw was in a nearby copse and therefore had an slightly echoey quality to it - just as the bird would have heard it.

    Staggering.

  • The chainsaw was un-fucking-believable omg?!

  • That's fucking awesome.

  • What? You forgot the proper noun. It is a pronoun. You have to tell me what it refers to, or I don't understand your lousy fucking Engrish. Marinate on it.

  • that bird sound said word welcome and por favor ...i caught bird speak word " welcome" and "por favor" that all i can hear.

  • You are an idiot.

  • @Lassann your the real idiot...your using the n word.

  • I don't wanna be an ignorant fuck like you by using racial slurs that's why I didn't say the n word. I don't support ignorance. I didn't then and I won't now. Now you look like a fuckin idiot. And for your information I'm a girl so I don't have any balls to begin with. I don't have a problem of demonstrating my foot all over your ass you PUNK ASS BITCH. Who's the cunt now you PUSSY?

  • don't feed the troll.

  • it will still be twice as smart as you

  • wow, its almost hard to believe, thats pretty cool.

  • this bird is messing arond in the forest

  • Yeah but can it do a good mick jagger

  • LOL!

  • Comment removed

  • Wow, that is an amazing adaptation!

  • I live in this area and I can assure you all that car alarms, cameras, chainsaws and handsaws would be very familiar to these birds. They are truly amazing mimics.

  • How small do you think the speaker is? About the size of a bird's head?

  • its true it was made by bbc so it is legit
