just installed bluefin on my mini one had a problem installing it at first (because i had the door open :P) , supposed to add 33bhp will have to see wot its like :) just have my k&n induction kit to put on and it'll be there :)
I have a Scirocco 2.0TSI 200 DSG (My2009). AS the DSG is quoted as having a safe limit of 350Nm, I'm a bit concerned about that, as I have seen that your Bluefin remap for my car put a torque as high as 390 Nm, from the 280 Nm stock (215 bhp and 308 Nm for my car on dyno in stock form). Will the DSG withstand that? Or do you have some other remap at disposal with a lower peak torque, even losing aome bhp (240 bhp and 350Nm would be satisfactory for me)
@superchipsltd Yes, low capacity NA engine has not much to gain with a remap. A bigger engine like an V8 will gain more, but for a 2-litre engine bigger mods are needed, like a combo of intake + full exhaust + cams + Throttle bodies + ECU remap once everything else installed to take the mechanical mods into account for the remap. It is much more expensive to tune a NA engine than a turbo bhp per bhp.
@mrxbrightside 44BHP on the dyno photo, it's the highest difference I suppose because it's at lower revs, but you get a 30% increase on a turbo engine so the data is good. It also has more to begin with, the 2.0 TDI is listed as 140HP.
That's what the device is for, to setup the remapped version when you want.
What I was wondering is if the device will work on more cars or just the first one that you plug it into. (same car, engine)
@mrxbrightside - Yes, the Bluefin retains the Superchips map settings when you revert back to the original factory file, so you are at liberty to swap between them as you wish. Indeed the max power increase is 47 bhp, but we quoted 44 bhp because the power gain was taken at the same engine speed that the stock engine peaked to give a true like for like gain.
Is there a reason that the controller is shaped like a hygiene pad?

Does the bluefin ask you if you want to set a speed limit wen you are programming or not?

When you restore your original settings does the device then retain the remapped version aswell, so you can put it back on when you want?
does that say 200bhp? And the original was 153bhp? Isn't that a 47bhp increase? Or have I missed something here..

@slickrules13 Hello - the Bluefin devices are car specific, because even the same makes and models of cars can differ in their ECU settings.
