this about Shen, eh? I went there until they booted me out. I couldn't fucking stand those recruiters. I'm sure they were nice people off the job, but they NEVER understood the word "NO". I had them calling my house for an entire school year. I even had a Chrysler Sebring on government plates show up AT MY HOUSE with a recruiter. I didn't know what it was, so I hid ofcourse. Those people are unbeleivable.

Okay, like, the military has to let you in, even if you are gay. You just aren't allowed to go around saying "Hey! I'm gay everybody!" In a way I sort of think that it is to help protect them, because most of the people who go into the military (that I know at least) are homophobes. So it's not that gay people aren't allowed to be in the military, they just can't go around telling everyone that they are gay.
From what I understand the only reason they are allowed in is because they don't disclose their sexuality. Ever. I have been lead to believe that if you are at all open about it that it can be grounds for dismissal. So in essense there are no homosexuals in the military.

cos there are recruters there at least once a week but there is also a gay straight alliance club thing too... but its not equal cos thats a club and they meet about 7 times a year during the school day while there are always recriuters there...
