  • la cantava anche Alexi Lalas

  • tracy tracy was rly hot!

  • Is it me or does the man look bored wen he is singing but this is a great song

  • beautiful and a great voice x

  • MTV version was much bettr ~ why ~ copyright issues ~ curses

  • I don't understand where the female BGV's are coming from. Is there a female backing singer hidden somewhere?

  • What is the name of that lead singer ? Somehow she reminds me of somebody in another group though it is probably not her .

  • @2100Rose Tracy Tracy

  • @kkppffww aww

  • @kkppffww I know what you mean.

  • @enerjon777 i know too

  • tracy is a real knockout!!!!

  • the girls who were in bands sounded like angels like Bjork and this here lady!

  • I love the record, but they leave something to be desired live. She's "a little pitchy" as they say, but worse, despite being cute she just doesn't have any real presence in my opinion. Debbie Harry by contrast could stand still and still be riveting. This girl would have to move around or something to excite an audience. Charisma is hard to define!

  • omg...i've always luved this song sence the dumb & dumber soundtrack..but never knew what the band looked like...the lead singer is so pretty...she looke kinda like julie cruse, the twin peaks/david lynch singer..

  • Wow she looks like madonna in the 90s,Great song....

  • dumb and dumber...

  • ~~~ nice song~~~

  • From Peru; the girl is beautiful. This song is the one that i like. Bye. Sorry. i speak only spanish, je je

  • the guy who sold the t-shirts was well fit

  • Who Negative-Voted this? It's an affrontery!

    Great Song! :D :]

  • when first got my driver's licence all I had to do was start the car and this song would come on the local college radio station

  • puta bixo! que dahora!

  • That guitarist needs to chill out on the vocals. He's going to work the crowd into a frenzy with too much enthusiasm.

  • @darkknight91 ha ha! I love the deadpan delivery he's giving!

  • Isn't she lovely? She and the band commited some of the most perfect pop gems of the 80's.

  • I remember hearing this song on that Mr. Bean film. Great track!

  • wow isn't she lovely :)

  • Dumb and Dumber rules!

  • @p8507255 YEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEES !! XDD

  • she is so off-key, definitely not lip psyching.....love the song though, classic 80's 1 hit wonder

  • the primitives rock!

  • oh for goodness sake, is anyone else sick of seeing us vs uk arguments on here? plenty of good american songs have been sung by british singers and vice versa so shall we end it here? :o)

  • This is one of those songs that begs the perennial question....why are some of the best American songs sung by British bands?

  • @BelatedCommiseration because this song was written by this said british band. i defy you to name a good american song that was covered by a british band; because there are'nt any as far as i can tell.

  • @porridgeeveryday Yeah...my comment was directed more to songs that sound american and convey what I might describe as a 'spirit' of what is , admittedly, perceived as conveying a sense of americana. I would say the same of the likes of Kim Wilde (Kids in America obviously) Bonnie Taylor (Total eclipse of the heart) Boys are back in town (Phil Lynott, although admittedly he was irish originally) the list is endless and includes the Beatles. Is wasnt a criticism. More like an observation.

  • would've been a good Blondie song lol

  • Don't know how I got here, but love this song. Who's the blonde peach ? ROWR !

  • Love this song. ^-^

    <333

  • WMG mute the audio to the video but not this.

    Anyway, excellent performance here.

  • one of the best 80s tunes

  • She's not the most tuneful singer and appears to be a failed clone of Debbie Harry but Hey; it works. :-)

    I like it.

  • Yeah, a little flat, but still brilliant stuff!

  • @Christorix See, that's the thing though: how could she be a "clone" when they're British and Blondie are American? I think she does well on her own. See, Americans sort of look up to Germans (Brazil?) in a manner of speaking in their business like Europe does Japan. There used to be some crossover but then Japan tried to overthrow USA.We should lose troublemakers and get back to what makes both countries *great* cultivating each other's artists to rep whom our countries emulate at home.

  • @Christorix - so if a girl heads up a band and has blonde hair that means she's a debbie harry knock-off? er, nooo......

  • Great song w weak musicians backing up Traci , ie the guitarist repeating " your're gonna crash"

nutin but love but I'd XXXX him fo T , T

    peace love harmony Maxx

  • Saw them at at Dundee University in 1990, pretty good live.

  • nah nah nah nah nah!

  • only a FPD piece of shit would mimick Tracy Tracy backin up her divine caboose

    fuck u' you're on vdeo

  • great stuff...a few punk mates and i went to see em in glasgow around this time in some university but never got in cause we looked 2 outrageous wi our spikey hair and bondage trousers lol.... good band all the same :)

  • THIS was the song that truly MADE that movie!!!! Whenever I hear this song,All I see is Jim Carey's face being blinded by those headlights!! LOL.

  • nice old song

  • a multimedia show in 1988?

This band rocked the world for 16minutes

    RESPECT !

  • Yeah, Friday Night Live twas called. They cancelled a gig in Warrington to appear on this show. Fair play though, they did the gig the week after.

  • ' crash vs hit ' there's a difference in both criminal and civil law.

Last time i crashed i was 15-16 years old.

  • porn is in the eye of the beholder woot woot holla holla

  • I remember seeing them live at this time and remembering they weren't that good. This confirms that. Her singing is way flat.

However, that doesn't change the fact that their records are absolutely amazing.

  • "Hey guys! Big Gulps, huh?! Alright!!! Well, see ya later!!"

"Hey, Harry, I got some beef-Jer...."

"Some ain't cut out for life on the road"

  • Christ, they look bored. They must fucking hate playing this monotonous song.

  • This is sooooo not lip synched. Tracey still sounds good but her voice is noticeably less whispy like on the album. She's a tad bit more nasally here as well.

  • The bass also sounds a lot less prominent on this :)

  • Tracy and Paul's singing is real but her backing vocals and the guitar is "enhanced" with the recorded track.

  • OK OK maybe you're right; maybe it's "enhanced" -- it's definitely not totally live!

  • Are you deaf? This is blatantly not the same vocal as the studio version. Dumbass.

  • she's also flat

  • Her voice is different u twat

  • At least this is better than that AWFUL remix version from the soundtrack of that movie!!

  • tracy tracy is my cousin n her real name is tracy cattel gr8est band to come out ov coventry

    SKY BLUE ARMY

  • This is a live performance, that's why it doesn't sound like the studio version. Can't get all the overlays and double tracks when live. Still sounds good, though.

  • march 1988, makes it just over 20yrs,mmmm

  • she looks and sounds different in this...

  • remember seeing this at the time, love the song.

the clip is from 'friday night live' on channel 4 (uk) in 1988 - as the clip ends, you can just see ben elton

  • the music sounds like 99 ballons.

  • she looks so sweet jahahahahahahahahahahahaha

  • What year was this, anybody???

  • tween 90-91

  • Shite compared with studio version. No wonder everybody mimes these days!

  • good that they didnt fake it like now times artist does :)

  • she is hot!!EVEN NOW!!WOW

  • i love this song. taceys voice is too good

  • Traci Tracey... the hotness

  • Beartiful!!!!! One of my favorite songs!!

  • Most everything I have seen on You Tube with the Primitives is lip synched. This one sounds like the music tracked but the vocals are live. This group put out some great songs in their brief existence. This is one of them.

  • there are some overlays, but it's live . listen to the drums and the bass

  • The drummer's quite nice on the eye. I'm sure Tracey is too, to those so inclined. :)

  • Classic!! WOW!

  • gorgeous!!!!!!!! takes me back to a miss spent youth!! lol tracey you were soooo hot!!! :O)))))

  • this girl is so beautiful...

  • Do they have any other songs as good as this one?

  • YEA! Gotta LOVE this song...!

  • Where's "Spacehead"? Does no one remember that song?

    I'm sad!!

  • I remember seeing The Primitives live at the UEA Norwich in about 84 and getting right down the front. Tracey , if you read this you were my fantasy ! (i was only 16)

  • Tracey Tracey You're STILL my fantasy and I'm almost 40!

    So there you go...
