Arm strength doesn't fit his playing style. He doesn't need to have an amazing arm to be a great quarter back. He's accurate and smart. He will always go for the easy 7 yarder instead of launching and praying. Besides, he's only a rookie, he has plenty time to get his arm strength up.
Andy Dalton is awesome! As a die-hard Cowboys fan, I would trade Romo for Dalton any day (although, I'd feel bad for McGee, our 3rd-string QB backup). If the Bengals o-line can protect Dalton, they will have the next best QB in the game, IMHO.

Against the Pats Romo did everything he was supposed to do in the 4th, and his defense failed.

@thebullfrog24 Overthrowing a deep route sounds more like a timing problem then an accuracy problem...remember, Dalton didn't have the typical offseason so timing with his wideouts would be off. I would look too deep into that longball problem just yet
I've watched Dalton play quite a bit this season. He has the weakest arm among NFL starters. Not that it matters completely. He makes solid reads, has great vision, a good internal clock, and gets rid of the ball quickly. He is a fluid athlete that has enough quickness to pick up a first with his feet here and there.
That said, throwing a ball deep and throwing a rope down the middle with velocity are two different throws entirely. Dalton can't make the latter throw at all.
dalton CAN make fast accurate throws. he hit simpson on a slant this week for a 16 yarder right into the teeth of the defense. last week the pocket collpsed around him and he over threw aj green on a 50 yard bomb. clearly you haven't watched many of his snaps this season.
