The Huffnagle is a knot invented by Steve Huff and is a far different knot. Simon Becker and I came up with the Slim Beauty to eliminate the Huffnagle which requires a bimini twist. This knot revolutionized my tarpon fishing by eliminating the need for leader stretching cases or having to tie up 1000's of bimini twists before the season.

instead of doubling the main line like that i like to tie a spider hitch in it first double line on both sides of the slim beauty.

That knot is also known as the Hufflenaggle knot. Either way the knot works great for attaching class tippet to shock tippet.

nice vid, i use this knot to tie my mono to braid but i dont pass my overhand knot through twice but ill defenitely try it out
