because of the hot weather a bubble of air was formed under the court absorbing the ball almost like a pillow, workers then drilled 2 holes to let the air out and gravity was restored
i read an article about this, what happened is that an air bubble was created due to the heat. Creating a dead spot that absorbs shocks. To help this problem they drilled holes in the court to let the gasses out.
well i dont know anything about them tennis courts but is it possible to have externally controlled powerful electromagnets buried deeper in the court than what they drilled and the ball has a magnetic material woven in it so that interested parties may be able to influence bets on the game ... and one malfunctioned? Just wild rampant speculation .... I dont believe physics was suspended even in Australia
@fulluvshit well that is certainly possible although highly unlikely. If I were a betting man I'd bet that the ball was faulty - we didn't see another ball being tried.
i can imagine when they drilled the holes. "hey, yea, we're almost there. just an inch or t--PFFFFFFFFFFFFfffffffffffffff"
