damn i wish there was some way i could here this in person. because i want to get rid of my spt duals and do this!! but im not sure if it will sound that good in person. Does it sounds like an older wrx with an hks exhaust system?
the new wrx's are a 2.5l where as the older ones were a 2.0l so it still has that throaty boxer rumble but will be a bit deeper, more like the older sti i'm guessing. just my guess anyway. either way it will sound awsome.
Its pretty loud in person... loud enough for me anyways lol.. If you get a downpipe and stage II tune, it will be even louder.. I plan on doing the downpipe as soon as I can afford it lol. To make it fit, your gonna have to take it to meineke or any muffler shop and ask them to weld you some pipes and mount the muffler for you... not something you can do in your driveway lol
it sounds hot, after we did the custom dual on my cousin we felt the difference. I like single one better so I'm trying to convince him to do one like yours.
Yo dicklick... you dont need a tune for only a CBE... when i get a downpipe im going stage II.... leave me another comment after you go through 2 years of school for being a technician like I did and then maybe i'll take your advice.
ayo.. do you actually lose some HP since u only have 1 exhaust?? curious, cuz im about to get one for myself but thinkn about get dual exhaust tho.. i think havin 1 looks a lil weird unless you change the rear bumper.
No loss in HP... about 10hp gain. The dual exhaust on the sedans actually adds more weight and causes poor exhaust flow (the stock exhaust is really just a single exhaust that splits to 2 mufflers at the rear). changing to single is cheaper and better exhaust flow. As far as how it looks, you could either just learn to live with it or just take it to a body shop and have the other side of the bumper filled in... which is what im going to do soon!
