  • That's the only play I could ever pull off. Ever.

  • Thats nutty

  • Wow that is a small football team

  • My husband went to that school. Back in the 90s is WAS legal. Now it's not. But then it was. So those of you saying it shouldn't have been allowed are stupid. It was a smart play. And even though it is illegal now whoever thought it up was genius. Dumb people. Don't talk about crap you don't know. Lol go flint hills !!!!

  • haha i am sooooooo telling my coach about this xD

  • Quick question - how many of you saying this is a legal play have actually read the rule book and taken a rule's test? ... I thought so. Announcers are idiots and former players are worse. If you doubt me stop by one of the many officiating forums and ask your question there. Plays like this are explicitly illegal.

    Search for refstripes

  • LOL this is the original from the late 90's I think. RealTV was the shit though..there was this guy and then some black guy after.

  • Personally, I think the QB and coach interaction is a little much. I can support a side-snap confusion play, but when you're taking it this far just to get an early touchdown... come on :-\

  • I love how he explained it lol

  • we tried that at our playoff game.didnt work.cause our QB was short and slow

  • I like how he says " Then there is nothing but turf in front" when it's a grass field.

  • I think the play is genius, too bad it is illegal supposedly.. I don't understand why, your allowed to be dishonest about hiking the ball, untill the second time hike is yelled by the QB, is that not being dishonest to fool the defense into thinking your starting the play? Or isn't dishonest to use play action, because your trying to tell the dfense you are running the ball, but really your not? Ohh well

  • Looked up wrong ball trick play failure..so awesome

  • Some team tried this against us, as soon as the ball was lifted, our whole line destroyed theirs. We got the quarterback to fumble, and like half their starters got injured.

  • Most teams dont try it because refs can call a penalty for false start. Some refs will let it slide if the kids actually pull it off correctly. I saw a QB kid tell the center "there is something on the ball, give me it, I want to show the ref." Once he was handed the ball he walked through the D-line toward the ref, past the LB's, and was off to the races. He scored and it was allowed. It tells the kids if you cant beat them the right way try something stupid. I dont like it. Wake Up Defense.

  • It is a illegal play. Even the drunk chinese guy sleeping on my couch knows that.

  • @23Sean00 not really, in case if u cant hear, he said that the plays is legal, who cares what some chinese guy says, he dont know football

  • @roadracerac1227 Sir like mitchmcc8 said.. you cant make the d-line think it isn't real..

  • the only teams that run these plays are kids teams.. and seriously.. isnt the point to just "have fun" ?... coach must be betting on his team or something.. if my kid was on the opponent's team i would punch that coach in the face and say wha tthe fuck dude its a god damn kids football game, dont be a douche

  • @evilsandwich2 Wtf? Its A Competition.. Might Not Be Pro. But Regardless. U Thinks Its Free To Play IN These Leagues?

  • Sweet play it fakes out every team

  • セーフティ仕事しろwww

  • My team tried to do this but the refs said it was illegal

  • saying "Coach, wrong ball" is dishonest and should be illegal. If he had just done it silently, it would have been a funny trick. Instead it involved lying.

  • It is such a sweet play. I am trying to get my coach to put it in our playbook.

  • its a legal play. it isnt the NFL. its just a sife snap. i personally think this play is awesome.

  • I think it's funny how that entire defensive line didn't move until like 2 seconds after that QB took off and the crowed erupted.

  • I would drill him

  • He did not say down set hut!!!!!

  • wouldn't it be funny as hell if one of the kids on the other team just trucked him as he was walking to the sideline? haha great play tho

  • wheres the saftey? xD

  • Is it just me or did it seem like the commentator put emphasis on the words Hard and Pull out in the beginining

  • The defense is just stupid. If you don't hear a whistle, the play ain't over. Cardinal rule.

  • Physical talent does not equal intelligence. That defensive group is a shining example of this.

  • @rock5442 its called a side snap touchdown counts

  • Illegal snap, no TD.

  • @rock5442 its legal in american football

  • There are two rules I can think of that make this play illegal.

1 The ball must be snapped through the center's legs, since the center literally handed the ball off to the QB, the result should be a false start on the center.

2 No offensive lineman is allowed to touch the ball before the defense does. Since a lineman handed the ball off (as opposed to snapping the ball), it is illegal touching.

Then again, this isn't the NFL, so these guys must have different rules. No sidesnaps in the NFL.

  • Thats my coach who ran the ball

  • @redwolf2447 Well your coach broke the rules!

  • That is lagit

  • This is extremely intelligent.

  • Cool but wouldnt the QB have to say hike

  • no Endlessfun12345 you can have a silent count.

  • that so cheap but a good trick. lol

  • Wouldnt the QB have to say the caydence. or however you spell it haha

  • I'd watch football more often if this was all they did.

  • Real TV was an amazing show.

  • dis is stupid

  • I would love to see a NFL team do this play.

  • @puffballandres Sounds like someone who lost the big game a time or two back in the day.

  • Coach is gonna be sooo happy when I show him this video(:

  • i bet they all were like huh wat just happened!

  • "Football has been and always will be a game of deception and trickery involving multiple shifts, unusual formations and creative plays. However, actions or verbiage designed to confuse the defense into believing there is a problem and a snap isn’t imminent is beyond the scope of sportsmanship and is illegal." - 2007 NFHS Football Rules Interpretations

  • good play but if a safety shadowed the qb. he could have really got creamed

  • i went to a foot ball camp and i said we should run this play it was no pads like 7 on 7 and it worked pefectly im 12 so i was with 11 an 12 year olds it fooled them all i love my trick plays

  • FIre the coach! He is an embarrassment to sportsmanship.

  • so not really understanding the rules, the second the ball got passed in that manner the opposing team could have stomped him, if they were aware of the play or noticed the actual pass/move/whatever the correct term is?

  • @kineticdeath he acted like he was going to the sideline to get a different ball which made them think the play had not started but in football once the ball leaves the centers hands its a live ball you don't have to call hike or anything they just do so the center knows when to snap it. so yes they could have tackled him but they thought the play was over. oh btw the correct term is snap :) i hope that clears up what your asking

  • @Facepwner73 hey thanks for the info, that was a very sneaky play! i bet the other team were fuming lol

  • "And theres nothing but turf in front."

  • ok thank you commentator, i really had no idea what had happened, my mind was blown thanks for that detailed description

  • if i was on defense i would run that little motherfucker down and smear him in the endzone after the play was over...there are TRICK plays and there are CHEAP plays!

  • All these dirty tricks don't work anymore~ In the old days maybe. All coaches teaches them now to look out for all these tricks

  • 00.05 secs left im using this play

  • He is right I searched up the rules it is illegal to make the defense think the snap is not real ... I thought this was a good play too but it is illegal .., I was surprised but, search it up

  • @mitchmcc8 its perfectly legal, he make the snap look fake......the defense didn't react to it so there loss

  • @mitchmcc8 your an idiot. its called a sideways snap and it is perfectly legal. He took it and ran. So no. your an idiot. i did search it up. your retarded.

  • @mitchmcc8 no it illegal for the deffence to fake a snap

  • isn't it coach interference?

  • To all you half wit coaches who cannot teach fundamentals according to Curt Johnson who is a high school and college football official.

These types of plays are illegal and unsportsmanlike under both NFHS and

NCAA rules. 15 yd penalty from the previous spot

And if you call your local high school football organization they will tell you the same thing

They will also tell you anyone using plays like this should be removed from coaching

  • @coachbradley69 dude it was back in 1998 it was legal back then look it up this is my school and the funny part is we dont have turf

  • Lmfao I Did This Before When I Was Scrimmaging These Other People ! They Got So Mad And We Won The Game Because They Were Retardedd ! Ahahahaha !

  • ck out my sons football highlight (mark wright jr) by toowighteou

  • @toowrighteou Shameless.

  • haha my team did this play once

    =D

  • This is gaaaay,,

  • its not a legal play because the center says coach wrong ball. It is actually a penalty unsportsmanlike conduct, deceiving the defense with the aid of the sideline is not allowed

  • @coachbradley69 stfu noob. they called no timeout so it WAS legal. defenses fault for falling for it

  • Love this video <3 Haha Goooo Flinthills <3 :D

  • Comment removed

  • Sick

  • ohhh, thats dirty! :D

  • WHOOOOOO LETS GO S.G.!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • oh im just going on a stroll Ha ha break yo self fools f!@# yo mammas

  • Yeah, okay, so it's a legal play...not very sportsmanship like, and you don't need any athletic skills to do it. They might make "good" politicians in the future, or maybe lawyers.

  • @rudimentalist Actually he is now a high school football coach and helps out with various teams ranging from basketball to baseball. They wouldn't have run the play if they thought it was tricky the other team should have paid attention to the side snap.

  • this is a small school in kansas that has about 110 kids in the whole high school

  • @southpaw1k Nothing wrong with Kansas :D I am proud of this team

  • @THEwhiteLINEBACKER you have to tell refs before the play your going to do something weird my team on our playoffs we did one called WTF it was fucking awesome the whole line moves to the left of the field and the center stays in th center of the field and receivers everywhere we got two TD with the WTF and as always our 1000 year old reff gets his flag and fucks us up O WELL

  • In the league I play our refs are so Retarted they would call it dead if the center said wrong ball :(

  • This is a snap infraction. the snap shall be one continuous motion backwards, not up and over the shoulder. Result of the play, 5 yard penalty and repeat the down.

  • @mccombref it wasnt up and over the shoulder tho...... it was a sidesnap.....

  • In Baseball I remember I was Pitching And I did a fake Pick Off to 2nd And The 2 nd Basemen The shortstop and the outfield pretended it was a bad throw i regret its not right

  • ....or play actual FOOTBALL....not American handball

  • Don't Just Cheat play like a man.

  • @tdiddy1970 how would you know that?

  • uhmm, NO this is a play a team uses because they suck and it's the only way they were gonna be able to score!!!!

  • @tdiddy1970 u were probably on the other team. stop hating its called a trick play bud. have some fun its not that serious.

  • @tdiddy1970 hey sup faggot remember me?

  • oh i love it

    !!!!!!!!!

  • The Name is right: GREAT

  • Got Big Shoes to fill?

Introducing the One-of-a-kind Collegiate Gift for Auburn, Alabama, and UGA football fans.

    BIGshooz.com

  • This is no different then in baseball where they have a conference at the mound, the ball is then gloved by one of the basemen and when the picther gets ready to pitch the runner leads off and the baseman tags him with the ball for an out.

All sports are about tactics, this tactic worked. No foul their and no BS.

  • hacks..

  • That was BS

  • The trick is get your opponent off guard. If it's legal, then try it.

  • This play is subterfuge. Chicanery. Guile. This play is genius.

  • Hahahaha!!! XDDD

  • Lol, love all the crybabies who say "unsportmanship" and all that bullshit.

It's completely legal, this is clearly an example of how the strongest doesn't survive but the wittiest.

Guys, this happens in real life as well. Learn from this or you will be as well caught off guard.

  • @xAcxDcx your fucking joking right? its high school football. what kind of asshole cares about winning a high school football game so much that he's willing to beat the other team with cheap tricks? who cares if its unsportsmanlike, its just gay and kind of sad.

  • @mavriksfan11

It's just one game that they've probably done it. It's all fun and games, calm yourself - it's not the bloody end of the world.

  • @mavriksfan11 It's just a game, so if you can't stand seeing people actually having FUN, then maybe you're taking it too seriously...

  • @blueshoals I mean the point im trying to make is that high school football should be fun and not about winning. shit like this is just pathetic.

  • the defense has to be aware of those side or silent snaps.

  • Ownd !

  • Nothing clever about that IMO. The coach has made himself and his team look very desperate for allowing that to happen.

  • @moiraneyer44 ....Dear Jesus? LOL

  • Offence's thoughts:

    HEHEEHHEH

Defence's thoughts: (before the start of play)

Im going to fkin lay your bitch ass out after the snap..

    ..

    .

    ...

    OH SHIT!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • most genuis play. ever.

  • I am going to definitly use that play next season

  • @linexnick yes but not always

  • Ah what a great lesson for the youth of America. Don't work hard to be stronger, or smarter, or faster than your opponent. Just find some way of tricking them so that you get what you want at their expense.

This is not a "trick" play. It is just taking advantage of the other team's sportsmanship. I think I would have taken the 15 yd. penalty and taken out their coach.

  • @mafarmerga but doesn't this just prove that you are smarter? It's called a trick play, the point is to catch the other team off their guard

  • nice

  • bad reporting i looked it up and it is an ilegal snap and could get a unsportsman penalty !

  • @linexnick well then you dont know how to look stuff up, because i just did and it says "A side snap, although extremely rare, is a legal play where the center snaps the ball around his side."

  • @bumblebee561 yes it is completly legal, i play center and we have used it once or twice

  • @linexnick you are correct. With that type of snap, the play should have been blown dead for snap infraction. a 5 yard penalty would be enforced and 1st down repeated. If the center would have put it through his legs, it could be deemed as an unsportsmanlike penalty for deception on the QB. That one carries a 15 yard penalty.

  • @mccombref i know i just did not feel like arguing with pepole over this!

  • @Aktheman100 lol or ray lewis will give you a concussion

  • Does playing football regularly make you grow taller?

  • im gonna laugh if the ball was actully a "wrong ball" and he got tackled the shit out him

  • @MrHHNable

I can't WAIT for that to happen and maybe people will stop pulling this crap lol. God, how I hate technicalities.

Yea, the defense should've realized something was up, I guess. But I suppose they made the silly assumption that they were in a football game and were expecting to play football. They also made the mistake of respecting their opponents lol.

  • wow now i wish i was there to see that lol

  • I mean, c'mon coach, you're that desperate to win a little league football game, grow up man come on. Their just kids, just because you never basked in the glory..

  • Honestly that defense is retarded, any time the ball moves it's live, if they were switching balls the ref wouldn't blown the whistle, I would've took a nice free shot at that quarterback

  • Stupid play used by morons with a complex who can't stand to play a game fairly.

  • @BritishInvasion91 "All warfare is based on deception" Sun Tzu. Football/sports is warfare. This play is perfectly legal and teaches you to pay attention and to not take things based on what they appear to be. Food lesson for football, better lesson for life.

  • @BritishInvasion91 food=good SORRY!

  • @BritishInvasion91 This is how you react to that play ('look up Wrong ball trick play in football gone bad', should be int he videos to the right), instead of being lemmings it teaches them to think critically.

  • in pop waner it snot i tryed it

  • Best play.

  • Ref's needed to throw a flag. Unsportman like conduct anytime you inject an equipment failure or need to use a referee when the need or failure is not real. It's on the books for just such a reason.

  • @chimab accidently voted down instead of up if i were a ref i would call unspoartsman like conduct but the touchdown would still stand

  • I get that it's legal and all, but I always kinda hated crap like this. Call me a stick in the mud if you will.

  • @GrassValleyGreg your sick in the mud :D

  • @Trinitrotoluo You're* a stick in the mud :)

  • @GrassValleyGreg I hate it too, it's dirty football.

  • they should of know that when the qb give a other player a ball the game going to go on

  • ray william Johnson makes a funny voice gimmick of that same kindof play

  • I'd hate to be the QB who fumbles the ball before he runs to the touchdown.

  • the defense is fuckin retarted

  • Haha that's amazing I'm gonna have to recommend that play to my coach sometime Hhahahaha

  • really cool want to have a good laugh go to lion sleeps tonight ava and tony

  • lmaao side snap is not a legal thing

  • @idrumkingdom223 ya it is... our middleschool coach taught us it

  • Believe it ir not...this play won my team the state championship. It was raining out and instead of using "wrong ball" we used "ref change the ball its too wet" and as our qb was walking to the ref, he sprinted into empty turf in front of him and trotted into the endzone as the final seconds ticked down. Best day of my life :)

  • yo nice video u guys should check out this video its called mikey vanbrill 3 also drop a comment

  • Silly bad kids, play to the whistle!

  • its legal

  • 149 fans of the White team watched this video

  • I'm usually ok with trick plays, but when it involves the coach , especially at this level, it makes it dirty, imo.

  • @druidrocks bull shit

  • The D didn't respond because they didn't want to get in trouble. You are making them think an authority figure is telling them they are doing something wrong. Of course kids are gonna listen of an adult is involved.

  • a team did this to my team but we stil killed them, it showed how bad they were resorting to trick plays like this

  • Defense shouldn't be that stupid, as soon as the ball moved they should have killed the Center, and the QB's ass.

  • we did this in our football season this year

  • Lol my high school team tried this but the other team knew it and our QB got smeared

  • @KKCA4 haha i saw that happen once

  • lol its legal. my teacher ran it when he used to coach.

  • yo dig it, we would of been fightin

  • Because of these amateur shit high school players that prolly went NOWHERE, no we can never see this brilliant trick play in college. No way NFL players would fall for it.
