Those towers were so beautiful and fun I visited them for the first time in the year 2000 and strange enough on the 10th of September they had a year and a day to stand. I just got the craziest de-ja-vu at 2:40.....I visited the trade center once when I was a kid and i'll never forget how fast those express elevators were, you could literally go from the lobby to the observation deck in under a minute give or take.
I would have wanted to see the WTC before the attack. My mom went there and ate at Windows on the World at the top of the north tower. She said she could feel the tower sway. :D It would have been so cool to work at the top of one of those buildings.

@Apphelper u may be right.i did alot of research. 911 was a controlled demolition.explosives were used to take down the buildings. explosives and thermite.which is a military chemical that burns hot enogh to melt steel..airplanes alone could not cause buildings that big to collapse. especialy at free fall speed..the buildings had no resistince on the way down which means the undamaged floors below were blown out of the way. i dont think it was a terorist attack at all really

Awesome! I was only barely 4 (September 4, 1997) When that whole 9 11 mess happened. It's nice to see what it was like, and I'm looking forward to the new WTC! I want to go on the observatory

Aside from all the negative & ridiculous posts on here, I want to give my greatest thanks and love for giving everyone a chance to look at the WTC and to see what it was like. I thought it was most appropriate when you chose across the universe as your song up top, producing the only beautiful view we may ever see from where the WTC stood. Thank you for sharing this...

I was there so many times, but only at the top once when I was about 8 or 9... with my daddy, who has passed away... anyways, to think that on 9/11 someone was merely visiting , JUST like I had when I was little, and had their lives taken from them is just awful... so many lives taken that day, so many lives affected... I will never ever forget these amazing towers or the lives lost!!!! XOXO

@Apphelper u may be right.i did alot of research. 911 was a controlled demolition.explosives were used to take down the buildings. explosives and thermite.which is a military chemical that burns hot enogh to melt steel..airplanes alone could not cause buildings that big to collapse. especialy at free fall speed..the buildings had no resistince on the way down which means the undamaged floors below were blown out of the way. i dont think it was a terorist attack at all really

Al Gore was the one that actually won the election in the year 2000. Al Gore was supposed to be the president. Do you know what Al Gore said about George Bush? Al Gore said that George Bush is the cause if everything that has happened in Iraq and Afghanistan.

at 2:20...that bridge was literally crushed to the street when the north tower collapsed. completely destroyed. it originally led from the winter garden to the wtc.

these buildings to me are a true icon, not only american but it was an icon of an ended era of security and personal saftey..the world was somewhat more sane then, it was an icon of the times.

i'm bummed that i never got to go to the observatory, being so high up and all, but when the New building is built, at 1776 (the year of the signing of the declaration of Independance) feet high, i want to go to the top and look out all over the Empire State.

Listening to the Beatles sing "Nothing's Gonna Change My World" was surreal while watching this carefree time. Thank you for making this video. It reminds us what a joy these Towers were for so many years and a place of employment for thousands.
God please continue to help those who mourn and give humanity wisdom in handling our differences without hatred and violence.

@8mycrab Thanks for sharing.I thought this was the most beautiful building in ny when I went there over 20 yrs ago.I didn't have the heart to see the sight after the devastation and I only saw it six years later when I went for an interview. It was very upsetting for me to see.My mother had taken my father to see it before it was destroyed When I took my father visiting from Jamaica to see it again last month, the rebuilding process had started and it was not traumatic for me.

God bless them...i cant believe how people diside for other's lifes.actually i cant believe how thet diside about their own lifes which is a present of God.they kill temshelfes without thinking their familys.crazy..

i was up there 2 days before the attack. the view was amazing. i cannot remember the details because it was so long ago and i was only 6, i just remember looking down and wanting to throw a penny off and get it later.

That was so beautiful and sad. I always wanted to visit the WTC, but I'll never get a chance. This was so great to see though. I am so thankful the observatory wasn't open yet,that would have been horrible. Thank you for this touching video.

I get so many mixed feelings watching videos like this. I didn't know anyone affected by the tragedy and I don't even live in the U.S. I live in Ontario, Canada, but somehow I feel like I did lose someone. I wish I could have visited the towers before Sept. 11th. Apparently they are building new towers that will be up by 2013... is this true?

@missfatalefemme Yes, new towers are being built as we speak, however, they are hideous. And do NOT match with the New York skyline. Where the Twin Towers once stood will be two big square pools. WTC 7, which was also destroyed in the attack has already been finished.
