@SugarFreeTargets While I can see how some people would define Root-beer as "junk" (although I consider it to be a nectar of the gods), I don't see how the other drink, apple juice or the sandwich, ham and cheese on whole wheat, would be considered junk. If you really want to see us eating some junk, check out the video where we stop at Burger King :)
@2ftpmarco The riders are, but the trikes aren't! The trike with the larger rear wheel was made in the UK and the trike with the smaller wheel was made in Australia.
@2ftpmarco They're sold in the U.S. by recumbent dealers. Just do a google search for "recumbent trike" and you'll find some dealers. Lots of places sell them. Catrike trikes are made in the U.S.A.
I need to start riding my GS GT1 II far enough to make carrying a snack worthwhile! So far I've been limited to an hour or so in the morning on local bike trails. Maybe one day I can get my wife (Cannondale DF) to go with me for a day trip.
@brofun It's something I worry about in parking lots. That's why I have the big flag. There doesn't appear to be a problem on the road. Autos almost universally seem to give me a much wider birth when they pass me. I've yet to have an auto "skim" me by inches like they do when I'm on a road bike.
Well done, you perfectly rendered the chill-out feeling!
Trikes are so special, a philosophical planet distinct from any other vehicle: you can challenge a road cyclist to a 40+ kph run, but you can also lazily bask in the sun, full of peace and pleasure; you can go for an adventurous long tour across the country, but you can also use it for your daily commuting.
Yeah, I'm a little bit biased: I'm an excited Trice Q 2009-series european rider (such a great fun!).
@esedra09 Very eloquently stated! Trikes definitely have that extra "something special" when compared to their two wheeled brethren :) Love the Trice Q!
One of the best reasons for biking I've seen... Sort of like fishing... All about the scenery! Can't wait to get on my ICE Trice. Too hot in Oklahoma right now, maybe in a couple of months...
HA I love it! That is how I feel about my trike too. When I get to a rest stop point on a ride, my DF riding friends get off their trikes and rest.... I just stay on m trike and kick back!
Yeah, I was waiting for the nap segment around 1:48. When riding my Scorp, I inevitably have people ask, "Is that thing comfortable?" My answer? "You woke me up to ask that question?" Usually good for a laugh and it gets the point across. Reason #429 - great parade, concert, fireworks seats built into the ride, and if you are in the front row, no one will crowd your blanket!
You guys eat a lot of junk. lol

That's my same reason why I love my trike so much too. I haven't ridin my two wheeler since, it's just taking up space now.

@OldTobyPodcast That's Folsom Lake, just north of Sacramento, CA. Nice lake, but the bike trail that ends there is killer!

I love watching the videos you guys make. I just bought a Catrike Trail. Dont much care for 2 wheels anymore.

Trikes definitely give you an experience you can't get on two wheels.

Not often is a point so well made. Recumbent trikes (tadppole or delta) are a whole different experience from any vehicle.

very amusing! There is nothing so pleasurable as finishing that 100 km ride and finding, to your surprise, that you are already in your comfy chair.
