The dog was domesticated, & within it's owner's car. Most dogs living within cities are trained to stay by their owners, so as not to get lost or stolen. We are not talking about a wild animal here. Although I actually doubt we've made actual deals with aliens, since they probably won't know our languages, I do know that we are NOT alone. Consider the facts. The dog was domesticated, & within it's owner's car. Most dogs living within cities are trained to stay by their owners, so as not to get lost or stolen. We are not talking about a wild animal here. Domesticated animals loose a bit of that instinct over time. Commands, & the love of owners can breed it out of them. Even if the dog felt the Tsunami coming, he was in the car most likely locked in or told to stay put. Good journey.
