  • Thanks, feralhotdog. We're taking donations now.

  • I completely agree with him, why aren't artists like Justin, Ryan Bingham, Old Crow Medicine show and Christopher Denny getting more recognition. They make amazing music. They write it and perform it, They DESERVE it.

  • I like this stuff. Underground country is great.

  • Check out Chris Knight.. you might like him.

  • the real deal. sorry poseurs et al

  • really, what happened to country music? where's the hanks, graham parsons, and waylon jennings nowadays? it's all just radio friendly bullshit now. well, there's some good country but why do i have to look for it instead of just hearing on the radion, oh yea nevermind, clearchannel.

  • Whoa, that new song of his is great! I hope he puts that on his next record.

  • around 1:30 he mentions Charlie Bull i believe. does anyone know who that is? i tried searching that name and couldn't come up with anything.

  • @Jts04d Charlie Poole

  • awesome, thanks!

  • Charlie Poole is what he said. One of the REALLY early hillbilly music "stars" look him up, great stuff.

  • modern "country" is so full of complete shit. I really do think anybody involved with the modern pop "country" of today and CMT should jump off a cliff and die so that people like Justin can actually make a living.

  • if you like JTE, you should DEF check out Hank Williams III. That dude is for real.

  • @TheIrishCajun i'm glad i'm not the only one that shares this view. country today is soul-less.

  • Excellent cinematography. Lovin some Justin.

  • The point about what passes for country today is true; its basically soft rock...the fear of fiddles and steel guitars is still alive and well in Nashville....whats wrong with the studios there? So called alt country shows that there is a large audience for music that is closer to the bone. The idea that fiddles are unsophisticated is long gone, sin city should get back to what it does best.....or maybe it doesnt matter a s**t anymore anyway.

  • thank-you for posting this... He's one of the greats of today and destined to be the roots and tradition of tomorrow. I felt the spirit of Hank Sr. the first time I saw Justin play at the Exit Inn with the Swindlers

  • he's great...

  • what kind of capo is that?

  • It's a Planet Waves screw capo. I have one and love it.

  • Nice work JTE, saw ya in Wakefield. Great roots sound. Don't ever give that up.

  • haha cool. thanks for the response. im gonna see him in santa monica this month. sooo damn goooood.

  • sorry for the caps... but, WHAT IS THAT FIRST SONG CALLED?? anyone know now?? put some spine back in the country.

  • I dont know the name of the song. I saw him play it the other night in Chicago, though. He said that he's got a whole other albums worth of material to put out but Bloodshot said that it wasn't a good idea from a business standpoint to put out two albums back to back like that. Lame.

  • dude you should check out the band Ha Ha Tonka.Their on Bloodshot also and they are amazing.

  • Oddly enough I tried listening to them yesterday. Really good harmonies. I'll have to listen to more.

  • thats cool man,yea I will advice you get the album, you can only find 3 of their actual songs off the new record on their myspace and a few from the first record. Get both records if you can.

  • Thank you god...

  • he's just amazing.

  • Good stuff!

  • dig that mama's eyes song

  • Saw him in Denver last year with the Felice Brothers. Actually liked him better than the Felice Brothers.
