@BeautyEnhancements4U I dont recall saying I was an expert but if you think I am, thank you! I'm flattered :) Angry? You're giving yourself way to much credit. I will still have my pets and hold them whenever I see fit. Get over it. So if you'd like to continue to argue go right ahead but that only proves how pathetic and bored you are.
@BeautyEnhancements4U yes. ikr. also, mine, Jagger, i went to pick him up to examine him and he didnt mind at all but i put him back after a minute or two just incase. but since they are technically blind during the shedding proccess, their other senses enhance. so they get around mostly by smell. he knows MY scent, very very well. so i dont see how thats a problem. he knows id never hurt him. :)
@kyleoboyern it is fine and if you have more to ask just PM me :3 (p.s sorry if you don't like the way i don't use caps and the (.) when i am done talking)
im not an expert or anything but im pretty sure that your not suspost to grab the snake by its head. Or keep twisting it like that, im surprised it dident bite her.
@Savannahjb1997 well grabbing it by there head is sometimes needed though when there young if you are probing or popping your snake you will have to have a partner hold them firm by placing your fingers on either sinde of the neck and your other about three quarters down the body and if your snake getts mouth rott you will have to hold it and open the mouth. but still snakes do not like this only because they feel like you are a preditor and might eat them
If someone is rolling their snake across the floor, they shouldn't be owning a snake. They got their name because they roll up in a ball when threatened, not because some idiot thought the snake was a toy. -_-
i never heard of people rolling snakes across floors. i also think if she keeps grabbing the snake around its head area and restricting it one day it will give her a well deserved bite
really? NOBODY ROLLS THEIR PYTHON ON THE GROUND WHEN ITS IN A BALL! JESUS CHRIST FIRST IF ITS IN SHED WHERE IS THE PINK BELLY??? JESUS CHRIST ONCE AGAIN CUZ BEFORE ID THINK EXPERT VILLAGE HAD THEIR FACTS WRONG BUT NOW I KNOW THEY ARE JUST PLAIN REATARDED! lol thumbs up if u agree
they don't wrap it around to suffocate it, yes the animal dies by suffotcation, but the idea behind constricting is stopping the prey from moving, to get a better grip around it
Monkeypooo3000 I think your snake is over heated my ball python will do that in the summer if the heat lamp is on and it's hot outside. Try turning the lamp off or adding a large water bowl. The temperament is like a dude on weed very laid back and chill. They don't like to bite people and will curl up in a Ball if pissed off.
the length she said is 3-4ft in the wild, she said they can get 2 ft bigger in captivity. Did anyone see the eyes? i couldnt tell but it didnt look blue to me
OOOKAYYYY. She sounds like she's reading to a little kid. Talk normally. She clearly didn't write this on her imaginary queue cards, so can anybody tell me about their temperament based on their personal experience?
@BodyBuildingTeen11 lol im pretty sure people do ... you think people arent tempted... damn... i would be xD! its a snake that goes into a convient ball, what so cruel about it anyway if i roll into a ball im pretty sure people would roll me.
@tattooreptiles Snakes are tougher than people give them credit for, you can move/fold them as long as you're not like twisting and pulling and stupid things, the snake doesn't seem to be against it. But I agree, who rolls a python across the floor? I was taking the video at least KIND of seriously until I heard that then I couldn't stop laughing at the image XD
that is a big and cool snake mt ball python is about 2 or 3 ft. one more thing i hate you people you have no idea what you are about so don't tell people how to care for a snake and you don't know how to by the way noboty was rolling a ball python on the floor. every hates you so stop making the vioeds and my dad is a person that works with the peaple and mydad going to sue you for giving people the wrong thinga so stpo making the fuken things or my dad will sue you asshole.
@JRPythons she said that dumbass, she said ball pythons when feel threatened rool into a ball and hide their head in the middle so their pray does not get them. dumbass.
She's not really doing anything wrong, just her facts are a bit off (see random spaces comment) that's more accurate. I wouldnt force any of mine into a ball position either like she does. Other than that she's pretty gentle with it. A few months of consistant handling and I can kiss all mine on their heads. Amazing animals, just respect them and you'll earn their trust. And buy captive bred baby / juvenile.
I am thinking about getting a ball python and would like to know in all seriousness what she is doing wrong? (I get that the rolling it on the floor was just stupid)
Why is everyone grilling on this woman? Her information is accurate, she handled the snake fine and all the animals I have seen her handle look very healthy so they must be doing something right and 'your' facts must be wrong!
@BodyBuildingTeen11 She was merely explaining why these magnificent creatures got their name in the pet trade, some people have and still do roll their Pythons across the floor, so stop trying to be smart!
Ninety day incubation period... twenty years... three to four feet long...
Good job expert village, you have failed once again.
By ninety days I hope you mean sixty days and by twenty years I hope you mean thirty years. Maybe twenty years if over fed but it can't be over fed if it's only three to four feet. Which it should be four to six feet.

@BodyBuildingTeen11 yeah they would be killed by the python lol. i wish i could have one of these but even if i could. i couldn't deal with feeding time
the vet said i am very sorry but we are going to have to put mr snuggles down, he said the reason he is laying flat next to you at night is because he wants to eat u and is wondering if he can fit u in him, and the reason he isnt eating is because he wants to make room for u
awwwwwwwwwwwww mine just ate other wise i would be holding her right now, i wish i could bread mine,
the best python story i herd was from my camp councilor,
her friend had a python and she named it mr. snuggles, like 20 ft, she would sleep with it at night and it use to snuggle with her but it started to lay flat next to her, and it wouldnt eat for months, she took it to the vet and the vet asked why she named him mr snuggles, she told him and
OK, Numero uno, They're native to west Africa, not central and southern.
#2 She is holding the snake, by its head, a little unnecessary, i believe, Also it's is completely unnecessary to try to force the snake into it's ball.
"When it's threatened, it will coil into a tight ball..." You mean like what it's doing now as you're throwing it around so carelessly? I don't even know anything about snakes and I can tell she's handling it wrong!!!
I'm surprised she's holding the snake's head like she is. I've had mine for a year and didn't think touching the snake's head was a good idea even though she has a calm personality.
@TheP5YCHO1192 she is right however, that is true the reason it is called the ball python is beacuse it rolls into a ball, but snake owners shouldent to that to there snakes, that is just plain rediculous!
People really need to do their research if they're considering getting a snake. I was at a carnival the other night, and someone with a redtail boa tried to tell me it was a ball python. It just comes to show how little a lot of people know... Sad for the many snakes that end up succumbing to improper care due to misunderstanding and carelessness. I've been researching for a while now, and I can't wait to get mine. It'll be worth it after taking the time to actually check other sources.
@aaron89978 well said. it bothers me too when people think they know everything about animals when in reality they know nothing and dont take proper care of them. i have had my ball python for probably about two years now and hes great. i highly reccomend getting one (if thats what u meant u were goin to get). he has never struck at me and hes extremely docile. good luck with yours!!!
well some people probably roll theirs around and shes not hurting it i would not roll mine around though that is not nice not that my mom will let me HAVE one O.e grr
if it's shedding....then why are you forcing it around so much. Doesn't make much sense to me. Couldn't you have just found one that wasn't shedding???
@Dropthetwinky there wouldn't be a reason not to move it around. in fact that's how they get there skin off by squirming out of it, plus if it was uncomfortable or the snake didn't like being moved involuntarily he would let them know by ether biting or showing signs of a respiratory infection, there are many signs it will show
@caseysucksballs I know thats how they shed, but isn't it better to not stress them out when they're shedding? I've just always heard it was good practice to let a snake be until it was done or needed help.
@RTzombie yes they have tiny fangs and are aggesive snakes often, but dont worry, the dont hurt at all and they are ushally nice if you get one as a baby.
hey, expertvillage let the experts do the talking .... and your just giving people a bad idea by mentioning the "ball rolling on floor" thing thats just wrong and i think you're smart enough to relize that it would give people a bad idea... i hate exertvillage doing videos on animals other than cats and dogs
Ugh its sad that every expert village video I see is grossly misinforming. Now a bunch of new BP owners are going to start rolling them around on the floor. Another smashing success expertvillage!
wtf; ok; the ball python gets it's name from when it's scared or threatened to ball it's self up; not because people roll it in a ball. EXPERT VILLAGE IS CLUELESS!
I'd want my snake slithering between those two melons.

I've had mine for a year and didn't think touching the snake's head was a good idea even though she has a calm personality.

gunspinner101 1 year ago
@TheP5YCHO1192 she is right however, that is true the reason it is called the ball python is beacuse it rolls into a ball, but snake owners shouldent to that to there snakes, that is just plain rediculous!
gunspinner101 1 year ago
awww she looks nice.

It'll be worth it after taking the time to actually check other sources.
aaron89978 1 year ago
@aaron89978 well said. it bothers me too when people think they know everything about animals when in reality they know nothing and dont take proper care of them. i have had my ball python for probably about two years now and hes great. i highly reccomend getting one (if thats what u meant u were goin to get). he has never struck at me and hes extremely docile. good luck with yours!!!

forcing it around... Ironic cuz another expert village vid for corn snakes a guy says "Let them move freely, don't force them around"

accordsirh22 1 year ago
if it's shedding....then why are you forcing it around so much. Doesn't make much sense to me. Couldn't you have just found one that wasn't shedding???
Dropthetwinky 1 year ago
@Dropthetwinky there wouldn't be a reason not to move it around. in fact that's how they get there skin off by squirming out of it, plus if it was uncomfortable or the snake didn't like being moved involuntarily he would let them know by ether biting or showing signs of a respiratory infection, there are many signs it will show
caseysucksballs 1 year ago
@caseysucksballs I know thats how they shed, but isn't it better to not stress them out when they're shedding? I've just always heard it was good practice to let a snake be until it was done or needed help.
Dropthetwinky 1 year ago
do they bite? idk if thats a stupid question or not but just wondering.
RTzombie 1 year ago
