  • aaawwww zzoomeee aeeeeeeeee and then the band made some really bad decisions somewhere between power corruption and lies and low life

whate those decisions were are unknown; who instigated them--never to be made public; and yet for some reason they did what they did...at least we can go back and hear when all was proper

  • So glad someone posted this version of the song. Hands down the best!!

  • I love the organized sound of New Order.

  • i have this vinyl i love the bass of new order i love this times....

  • Ah, I seem to have found some people who prefer this version. Not just me then :)

  • definitely the best version of temptation. this was one of the last songs before they past the joy division hat over to new order. amazing how bernie could sing "in tune" in the early days of NO because later in the career it almost sounded like he didnt care if he was in tune of not. regardless, New Order w Bernie and Joy Division w Ian fronting the band(s) will always be a great part of our musical past, present and future.

  • Oh, you've gotta three eyes...

  • Anyone ever think what we wirte here may be the last words we ever write, just a thought, ............ sitting here with my headphones. Pass from a heart attck and then knowing someone will find the body, still with headphones, yet the laptop shutdown.

Hum what was he/she listening too when the moment came ?

    What was the post.

What memories, great song, very fun time at University in New Orleans during the 80's.

  • fuckin love this shit~

  • Ah yes, best version. Reminds me of my first days of college 1981. I walked into the bookstore and this was blaring out the speakers, "oh you got green eyes, oh you got grey eyes".... I thought okay, looks like I'm going to like college.

  • @dsdontsurf mann i would have loved to have attended college in 1981..

  • Best version, period.

  • The best version. The best New Order.

  • Great.

  • I like this version better. Sounds more like Joy Division imo...

  • @Icix1 doesn't sound one aota like Joy D .... clean your ears ...

  • This is the best f**k off version of this song. This is where Joy Division beathed its final breath and sadly passed on into New Order.

  • @CONSIDERABLYMORE1 beathed...

  • @morganissilly whatever

  • @CONSIDERABLYMORE1

perhaps I misunderstand what you are saying, but I'd think Ceremony is the official crossover point.

  • @CONSIDERABLYMORE1 no, this isn't where Joy D bla bla bla ....they actually recorded a whole album between this - and Joy D ... nice try, though.... your analysis is impressive!

  • My all time greatest underground dance song / way go the greatest band " NEW ORDER "

  • Actually I screwed up below - singles were "FAC (number)", LPs were "FACT (number)" and cassettes were "FACT (number)C".

  • This has to be my favorite version of this song. Thanks for the upload :)

  • this is actually my favourite version, not gonna lie

  • Halcyon days .....

  • @preliminal - nothing is ruined...

who are you to tell me what to post? it's still the same New Order.. however you do with it...

  • don;t post digital versions of anything- ruins it. please repost with the real thing

  • @Preliminimal get a life troll

  • Thanks for posting this.... heard it a long time ago and has brought back good memories, cant decide which version i like best..... 50 / 50 i guess !

  • how come some say 'FACD.' and others say 'FACT.' I can understand the latter as it would stand for Factory records but i don't really understand?

  • @soldat182 It has something to do with the "factory" they put on there records.FACD was a maybe a european label while the US used the FACT label. The album cover for record was brown and white.

  • @MidnightinSavannah I'm fairly sure that, whilst having seen both record covers, the "CD" is just a well, CD thing - never seen it on the LP.

  • @locomotifx "FACD" was Factory's catalog number prefix for CDs. This is the cover of the CD release of Movement. LPs and singles were "FAC (number)", cassettes were "FACT (number)" and CDs were "FACD (number)". Nothing to do with a non-UK release - Factory US releases were "FACTUS (number)" and Factory Benelux releases were variously "FAC BN" or "FBN". Take it from a dedicated Factory Records nerd, or Google for "Factory discography" and check it yourselves.

  • @soldat182 CDs & LPs is my answer. I've only ever seen the FACD on CD covers - which naturally were not around in 1981. Could be wrong.

  • @locomotifx Also, while CDs were not around in 1981, Factory started releasing important LPs in its back catalog on CD in 1986, but for Movement they kept the "1981" part of the cover anyway.

  • thank u for posting the original!!

  • @centellas07 This is not spam.

  • @bmelove I don´t understand your words, sorry.

  • @centellas07 is saying this is the version he likes best, it's the strongest, and thanks for sharing it with the world, I think that's about it in a nutshell.
