@TheMusicismylife56 Wtf are you talking about? they got that from walmart and stores REAL ESTABLISHMENTS of capitalism not from Bankers that corrupt the goverment system to create monopoly and fascism. You should know who the fuck people are talking about before you spew your biased stupidity.

If these people put this much effort in getting a job and working hard they would be better off. All Day All Week You Can Kiss My Butt Cheeks!!!!! You all probably voted for Obama and now CHANGE is all you have LEFT!!!!!! How about this give you $1000 bucks and a bag of weed to go away!!!!

The Administrators of the World Affairs cannot underestimate the popular uprising of the people all over the world against the existing financial systems that robs fortunes from common man and accumulates wealth to the greedy business tycoons and corrupt politicians and corrupt officials who stand by the greedy ones.

@enterthekraken You wouldn't know a straw man if he snuck up behind you and buggered you a good one. LOL
However, you did practice nearly perfect precise deflection since you were incapable of answering the riddle. You fail. No cookies for you tonight... now off to bed.
ROFL, how weak was it? It was so weak that you still avoided answering the riddle. hahahaha You silly fuckers are so easy, I really should be ashamed...but I'm not.
Wanna take a crack at another one, since the original was over your head ( hint, you can Google the next one, Goober ) ?
@worldmayhem "what is it about conservatives that makes them think they can steal and get away with it?"
Steal what, dimwit? If Conservatives want to keep more of what they earn, and Liberals want to appropriate the wealth and assets of those Conservatives, where exactly is the intent to steal?
Right now, the OWS movement is simple street theater and garnering only laughter and ridicule. Change the tempo to violence and see what happens... Squashed urban cockroaches.
the banks have stolen money from the middle class. Its been well documented. Maybe if you paid attention you would know that. Oh, there will be violence, and the 1% elite are going to regret their crimes.
@worldmayhem Maybe if you got out of Obama rear end you would be protesting the White House because they gave them the money. Both parties have screwed all of us but the rich are rich because they hold onto their money while these kids got to a college for 4 to 5 years spend over $100,000 then say college is to expensive and I cant find a high paying job well guess what boo hoo. You should have thought about that before you went. Get a JOB!!!!!
@worldmayhem Also what about all the losers that are popping out babies here then crying I need help give me free school, free healthcare, free housing, free daycare, gas & elec credits, food stamps or WIC and oh yeah I may need some gas money also thanks oh shit I am pregnant again I need more help it isnt my fault I didnt plan on it well actually you did when you opened your legs. Also now we are giving medicaid to all kids of illegals on an average of 2.5 per loser female that is here.
@worldmayhem LOL, dude. There are an estimated 1 million protesters worldwide. Impressive unless you consider there are 7 billion people in the world. Do the math. Whether you figure it locally, nationally or globally, it still amounts to 1 happy-clapping, drum beating, bobby soxer protester for every ... well, you get the point.
@worldmayhem "current estimate: 1.6 million, and growing each day."
Okay, Skippy. Have it your way, instead of 7,000 normal citizens to 1 protester, there are 4,375 normal people.
Growing every day as winter sets in? Sure, whatever you say.
If it were up to a redneck cowboy like me and mine, we'd cut off your food supply and let you eat your GPA and your iPads when you're finally starving.
"Donations to OWS, now totaling more than half a million dollars, are tax exempt, the New York Post reported. In return for sponsoring Occupy Wall Street, the Alliance for Global Justice is taking a 7 percent cut of donations, according to the New York Post.
Wow, those are some enterprising capitalists!!"
Don't tell @MMMMMMMmoron , he'll acuse you of being a paid Koch Brothers shill.
7%? Hey @Mikey , is that an obscene short-term profit, or what?
Rothschild Bank of London, Warburg Bank of Hamburg, Rothschild Bank of Berlin, Lehman Brothers of New York, Lazard Brothers of Paris, Kuhn Loeb Bank of New York, Israel Moses Seif Banks of Italy, Goldman, Sachs of New York, Warburg Bank of Amsterdam, Chase Manhattan Bank of New York
@MMMMMMMMMMMikey "We should be occupying all Koch assets and imprisoning/executing them for treason and crimes against humanity."
ROFL, you present an interesting view inside the mind of a true idiot. Let me guess, you have brightly colored feathers and are sitting on Van Jones shoulder, crapping down his back, right? You are a presumptuous little prig and a waste of oxygen.
Here's something again I don't understand. In America, we're allowed to have anything, even if it's just asking to have it. Although I prefer to work for it. My question is this. If Washington bailed these people out and is just giving our jobs away to other nations as well as our money, why are people marching against Wall Street and not Washington? Doesn't anyone realize that their cause for protesting would've been resolved and justified if the government DID NOT bail Wall Street out?
these people need to spend more time looking for jobs then chanting about how they cant get one...these people are wanting free money and services for absolutely nothing, for free...nothing worth while is free
You have no idea what the fuck you're talking about, and don't seem to have any knowledge of history, and don't seem to care.
You also don't seem able to type properly, and don't seem to care.
Or are you just some lazy douche, typing from his old phone, who can't be fucked to go that "extra mile" and take a few seconds to approach decent punctuation?
The latter, while laughable, is at least forgivable.
The former is just fucking pathetic and disgraceful.
@MMMMMMMMMMMikey you offer no reasoning, no factual data, you are just screaming at another person through words and using more curse words than it is humanly possible to do, you are just a sack of incoherent babble trying to look like a genuine badass for standing up for a bunch of anarchist kids who hate corporations but rely on them wholeheartedly...
I find the most inspiring and optimistic thing about this movement is that FOR ONCE it doesnt seem like Americans will stand down. If, for example, they were pretty much *forced* to go home, I feel like it still wont be like "Oh well, we tried". Anything that happens now will be encoded into the American collective consciousness, and if OWS gets shut down, there will be even greater opposition. No one will go home and forget about it. And thats the most important part, IMO.
lunatic has a massive cranium. { like that} i read that the chump change 500k is being fought over ..they want flat screens and stuff... LoL this is better than i thought it could be. The death throws will be epic.
The mantra of Occupy anywhere would be so very socialist / communist if in fact it weren't part of the ObombA 2012 Campaign - oh wait a minute - that is socialist - communist !. Not 1 action against GE, Goldman Sachs or any of the Democrat henchmen who stole through hedge funds and assorted false ponzi companies. And no one is going to Soros's house in NY - why because he is funding this through his network of ACORN, MoveOn etc..
@gene1936 Koch Bros may be the only thing keeping the nation from being coereced into Socialism / Communism. Will be happy to go to a Occupy place if I can hold my "Impeach Obama Imprison Goldman Sachs Indict Sopros" sign
@ElProximo Yes, americans are rich compared to other nation. But that does not mean that you forget the inequality in america. If the people in china want more they can protest or fight for change to have equality. It is a person's right to fight for the wealth they think they want or need. And just because you cannot save everyone does not mean you do not fight for yourself.
@HabeasMortis It is a privately owned park, Brookfield Properties, I believe. It is against the LAW to have gasoline generators and gasoline containers in the park. Get it? Besides, given the number of empty wine bottles strewn about, it's only a matter of time before the generator gasoline is used for other purposes, eh?
@LunaticFringeHunter I always did get it. I just didn't think the law of having generators in the park was more important than the US Constitution. That's just me though. YMMV.
@HabeasMortis "I just didn't think the law of having generators in the park was more important than the US Constitution."
Ah, but the laws flow FROM the Constitution, not from your presumptions. By law, it would only take a single filed complaint from the property owners and every dirtbag there would be gone in 24 hours, but it would be messy ( which would have its own entertainment value, but would only embolden the Bolshaviks ).
@LunaticFringeHunter So, a derivative law of the Constitution is more powerful than a provision of the Constitution itself, because said derivative comes from the Constitution? That's exactly how your reasoning reads, and it's a perfect example of a flawed circular argument.
@HabeasMortis If your tortured logic were to hold, then according to the 2nd Amendment, everyone in Zucotti Park should be allowed to carry firearms, yes? Property rights evolved directly from the Constitution, do they not?
@LunaticFringeHunter What tortured logic? Everybody in the park should be allowed to carry firearms. And guess what? It's privately owned public property. How is that term even possible? You want to talk about torturing logic...? The existence of "privately owned public property" runs logic through the entire Saw series.
@HabeasMortis "It's privately owned public property. How is that term even possible? You want to talk about torturing logic...? The existence of "privately owned public property" runs logic through the entire Saw series."
Happens every day, counselor. I am familiar with it from the Army Corps of Engineers. Now pay close attention, the government LEASES public property it owns to a private entity or individual and bestows upon that entity all legal rights pertaining to that property.
@borzoitx "maxine waters said it best -it is socialism the goverment should own and control every aspect of amerikan life."
Yeh, but isn't she under investigation for corruption? ROFL I do believe she is! "Lawsy Miss Scarlet, I don't know nothin' 'bout birthin' no economy".
"African-American columnist Joseph Perkins has studied the effects of Reaganomics on black America. He found that, after the Reagan tax cuts gained traction, African-American unemployment fell from 19.5 percent in 1983 to 11.4 percent in 1989. Black-owned businesses saw income rise from $12.4 billion in 1982 to $18.1 billion in 1987-an annual average growth rate of 7.9 percent. The black middle class expanded by one-third during the Reagan years, from 3.6 million to 4.8 million."
True American heroes. There aren't words to describe how amazing these people are. God bless the 99% and keep them safe and somehow warm. Those cops need to give them their generators back and put up some porta-potties at the very least. Let's be humane now.
@angelbethany12 you all realize you are part of the 99% too right??? if there is any major city near you this is taking place!!! be a part of it!! The only way this can work and the only way the protesting will make any change is if AS MANY PEOPLE AS POSSIBLE PARTICIPATE
@borzoitx Actually, according to the OWS top 1%, the Finance Committee had now accumulated over $ 500,000 in donations, and expects that number to top $ 1 million by Tuesday, November 1st. Sadly, unlike Reaganomics, it ain't trickling down to the street. It only took the protesters 1 month to create their own corrupt government, their own 1% and their own internal crime waves at night. It's almost like a terrerium for idealists.
@LunaticFringeHunter You want to see real corruption and hunt the lunatic fringe? - ask the Koch brothers to open their books. Buying medical supplies and warm clothing and tents with donated money bothers you but billionaires buying politicians and political influence to protect their own interests is OK with you?
@LunaticFringeHunter I do all the time - but do you believe its just Obama that is corrupt? See I want to get big money out of politics in general. Your claims about OWS finances simply parrot the fox news, NY post, Koch brothers talking points people like you are being spoon fed. Why is being part of a process where people actually have a say in how the money is spent so terrible (maybe even terrifying) to you and the 1%? How is having a finance committee automatically a sign of corruption?
@gene1936 Well, I suppose we may agree, but I don't want to feed your anti-Fox bigotry, so I'll confess. I Googled the donations and where they were going, then read the comments of protesters who were being victimized by the very system they had created. I haven't the time for Fox News ( although I like them ), never read the NY Post, but do read the NY Times and the Koch Brothers are the boogerman de jour of the Left, so fail there.
Gene's (and mine, and every rational person's, and almost the entire world's) "anti-Fox bigotry" is called critical thinking, and for an American, it's called patriotism.
Put the crack pipe down and pay attention.
Nobody believes that you don't have time for Fox "News", with you parroting all their treasonous talking points like a good little sheep.
AND stop reading the fucking NYT, shit for brains: goo*gl/owJSm
@LunaticFringeHunter Also, FYI, it's "du jour" (though I suppose you don't care, since almost all Foxtards are anti-French), and you can't really refer to something as "du jour" (of the day) anyway when describing something that's been going on for a decade or more.
Just because your brainwashed and blinkered ass didn't hear about the Kock Blockers until recently is no excuse.
Kinda like saying equal rights is the cause du jour when cause of the century would be a bit more accurate.
@MMMMMMMMMMMikey "FYI, it's "du jour" (though I suppose you don't care, since almost all Foxtards are anti-French), "
I am mildly anti-French, but I fail to see the Fox News connection. Read Gen. Paul Kagame's account of the French knowing of the plans for genocide in Rwanda 2 months in advance, and even supplying the butchers with logistical support and weapons.
BTW: You're a certified miscreant ! Wear that badge proudly, it suits you.
@gene1936 The disgruntled head of the Comfort Committee was interviewed last Sunday for Sirius Satellite. The equally disgruntled head of the Food/Kitchen Committee is losing volunteers by droves because they worked 18 hour days while their earnstwhile comrades sat on their asses blowing bubbles, banging on drums and waiting to be served free food.
@gene1936 Sorry you missed the entire point of my post. I'll repeat it for you. IT TOOK ONLY ONE MONTH FOR THE OWS MOVEMENT TO CREATE ITS OWN CORRUPT TOP 1%, AND BEGIN TO PEDDLE INFLUENCE WITHIN THE MOVEMENT.
@LunaticFringeHunter i read it and get it. You're implying that there's a contradiction in OWS because they set up a finance committee to safeguard, track and dole out donated money and this is somehow ironically the same as the real 1% "peddling influence." I read about complaints from wgs and i do have my own concerns about any one working group within OWS having too much power. But that's not really your concern - is it? Many of us are working to avoid the pitfalls while u just hope it fails.
@gene1936 You're absolutely wrong about me hoping it fails. I have no such hopes or desires, I simply find it amusing and, in some respects, the longer it goes on the more amusing it becomes. The issue is, without a central theme, the entire enterprise is degenerating into a mini-corrupt government of its own. Fascinating to watch. Lofty ideals of a few aside, it is the deadbeats waiting around for free goods and services that illustrate the most irony for me.
@ElProximo I have a very good friend in Bangalore who is pulling his hair out in frustration watching the OWS spoiled white college kids, junkies, twinkling hippies, bongo players and various other street artists. He would like to invite them to India to view real poverty and powerlessness first hand.
@LunaticFringeHunter You don't think that the type A people in places like wall street and other bastions of the ruling class would not beat back the poor and working classes to the point that it looked like India/Bangladesh in the end? I think they would, no question about it. That is something which is universal. These people are simply fighting back while they still have a place and the power/ability to do so. This is not India, nor will it ever be so long as people are willing to fight.
But guess what? That abject poverty was there in the 1960s, and you're spewing the same classist rhetoric vomited up by the Establishment to demoniske and dehumanize the anti-war protestors during Vietnam 40+ years ago!
In 1965, the poverty rate in the U.S. was 14.3%. After spending over $ 7 trillion dollars on the poor, the poverty rate is now 15.1%. What's up wit dat, Rainbow Unicorn?
@LunaticFringeHunter Gee, dearie.... it *could* be that the Reagan regency began to gut the middle class and strangle the minimum wage! It could be due to the fact that the top 1% received a raise in income of *TWO HUNDRED SEVENTY-FIVE* percent, and the bottom 1/5th only receive 18%?
@LunaticFringeHunter Darling.... I have a post-doc in Real Life. I've lived through the Great Society and having that yanked out from under the people by voodoo economics and the gutting of the middle class by the economic elite, who've hated Social Security, Medicaid, Medicare and every other social safety net.
I think you're either a shill for the Kock-suckers, or a lost soul who needs to eat from a few garbage cans like I've done.
@MarleneBomer LOL, shit. I left home at 18 with $ 80 bucks in my pocket and never looked back. Difference is, I never saw myself as a victim of a father who was just a laborer, but rather an American raised by loving parents and another citizen with a dream that didn't involved shoving my hands into someone elses pocket and calling it justice.
How did I become successful? Well, I didn't hang on the corner with my homies bitching like a little girl about rich people, I became one.
@LunaticFringeHunter Well good for *you* darling! And how many people did you step on or stab in the back while you made your riches? I may be money pool, little boy but I'm richer in life than you'll ever dream of!
@MarleneBomer "I may be money pool, little boy but I'm richer in life than you'll ever dream of!"
I stabbed no one in the back, I started service businesses and sold them, over and over, to other people with dreams.
And no, you're not richer because I took everything, AND I MEAN EVERYTHING, and started a rescue for abused and starved horses and dogs ( without donations or government grants ). It simply doesn't get any more rewarding than that, Miss Rainbow Unicorn.
@ElProximo Someone posted a study a few months back that if the government seized all of the wealth of the top 2%, I mean ALL of it, each citizen would get $ 4,300. That's it! So, not only are they ignorant of economics, they are ignorant of basic math as well.
@LunaticFringeHunter That math does not make sense at all. That would mean the top 2% only has about $1.3 trillion in wealth, but the top 400 richest Americans alone have more than that (according to politifact) not to mention the other 6+ million people in the top 2%.
@PartyWithJordan "That math does not make sense at all. That would mean the top 2% only has about $1.3 trillion in wealth, but the top 400 richest Americans alone have more than that (according to politifact) not to mention the other 6+ million people in the top 2%."
That's because the number is "liquidable wealth" or "cash on hand in the bank", not their net worth. You can't hand out net worth to the worthless, they wouldn't know what to do with it.
@ElProximo LOL, that's the spirit! This is the Sesame Street generation, raised by Big Bird and Cookie Monster. At last count, before the weather got nasty, there were 6,000 protesters ( NY Times ) present. Impressive number until you realize there were 37,000 participants at last year's Mary Kay Cosmetics Conference.
Get real people, you're the street theater de jour, nothing more than that.
@mishaldp "That street theater de jour lasts more than 40 days. That's impressive!!! "
ROFL, dude, it'll last a lot longer than that as long as the Kitchen Committee continues to serve free food to junkies and street urchins. On the other hand, in a tent community in this temperature with no sanitation, explosive diarrhea should rear its ugly head soon. Then it'll be the "Occupy Emergency Rooms" movement. hahahahaha
@worldmayhem ROFL, I've had bowel "movements" bigger than this pussy OWS thing. Apparently you didn't get the latest, did you? Estimates of the OWS movement worldwide are now nearing 1 million. hahahaha
so you're saying you know more than people who keep track of stats, people who went to school for years and studied sociology and economics? You know nothing.
@worldmayhem I have a degree in aeronautical engineering from the University of Missouri, so I am somewhat familiar with numbers, yes. A degree is sociology is worth nothing without a degree in anthropology, and I'd trust a school kid with a lemonade stand more than I would someone with a degree in economics. Real world experience, you know.
These people are nuts and those who claim to morally supporting them from the warmth of a nice home and such are nothing more than cowards if they are not willing to make the same sacrifice "PUT UP OR SHUT UP" Go stand in city square and act like an idiot like your encouraging others to do, oh you don't believe that much ! then shut your pie holes !
@jebclark Hey, douchenozzle, some of us have legit reasons for not going or not being able to go.
Personally, I'm staying out of it directly because if I was there and saw some pig beating on innocent and defenseless people I'd slit his fucking throat or die trying, and that would likely cause many other innocent people to get hurt.
The time for that sort of thing hasn't arrived yet.
Hopefully it won't.
Meanwhile, I do what I can to support them & spread the word to the ignorant and brainwashed.
@ElProximo Why does almost all the wealth in america go to 1 percent? If america is so good at giving you success, then why is the wealth not spread out? Maybe the poor people are just stupid? Or are we destined to be poor and work until we die? The OWS movement is people trying to change something, they see the flaws and the corruption and they speak up. They have more bravery than most people posting about this video, and more honor than you who only insults them hiding behind a computer.
You mean the generators were taken away?!?! The people lording over the 99% are trying EVERYTHING in their power to break the movement, and the movement stays peaceful, strong, and keeps growing.
Please disregard people who criticize this movement. It's not their fault that their minds are too weak to overcome brainwashing. Just "baaaaa" at them and be relieved you don't share their love of their Owners.
@fyrespirit999 Funny. Seeing as OWS has been co-opted by all of the baddies since day 1, I would say that the "99%" are the sheep. You're useful idiots, being beat up by police for your labor masters. Ha.
I would Love to support with all my heart this OWS movement It is needed ...But I can NOT subscribe to the message that is being put out by THIS MOVEMENT...I DONT WANT A DEMOCRACY...! I would jump in and as a Marine I would give every ounce of my blood to the cause..! if the cause was to RESTORE THE REPUBLIC AND THE RULE OF LAW...! .The Constitutions of the US is the Greatest Document that has ever secured LIBERTY to mankind ....
Everyone who supports the occupy protesters should pressure the mayors to provide event tents and portable toilets and long as the public general assembly meetings keep going on, this is democracy in action, by and for the public. Our government should provide infastruture for it. we should raise our voices together and demand it.
@chrysalis12481 - did you not get the memo? Our country is broke. We can't afford fire fighters, policemen and teachers. I, as a taxpayer who would love to take off and protest but have to keep working to pay my bills and feed my children, do not want to go into further debt paying for democracy in action/tents, etc.
@ElProximo Yea, the subjective truth and rules created by a god/religion/dogma is objective, makes sense.
Moving past that, I do not have any issue with socialism or capitalism, but i do have issues with american capitalism, which favors those with money. To get anywhere you need to be smart like bill gates or be in finance and do nothing. They do not make anything and yet they get bailed out/ given tax cuts, but a hard working man can barely afford a good home and a car. It that fair?
Only good thing coming out of this is that OBAMA and his cronies -all taking HUGE DONATIONS from Wall Street - will be voted out of office !!!! Amen...New President must PROMISE new regulations in banking and investment Corps..Totally BAN any contributions from any organization, PERIOD, only donations from private citizens allowed, with maximum of 100 dollars and accountable..END ALL PACS, LOBBYISTS and SPECIAL INTEREST !!! Any violation -automatic impeachment and JAIL !! NOBAMA 2012 !!
Some of the posters sound like they have keyboard tourettes with their "commie commie, socialist b.s. Why do they not ask themselves why the big pharma has more lobbyists than there are actual law makers in Washington D.C., or ask themselves why there a revolving door between lawmakers and lobbyists or perhaps why most lawmakers are millionaires.
We are not being represented. Public opinion polls show this clearly.
Seriously? Do you know who engages the biggest lobbying presence in all of Washington DC? In the entire country? That would be LABOR...that's why the unions insist on the little guy (agree or not) pay up to support their incredibly corrupt habits including heavy-handed lobbying.
@edelmangabriel, asking for handouts you say? the 99% arent asking for handouts, they're asking to be treated like humans instead of cattle and unless you have loads of money and power you're nowhere near the 1%.
I worked in the kitchen that day. I didn't realize how much I would miss the camp, but now I know that something special was happening there.

If Washington bailed these people out and is just giving our jobs away to other nations as well as our money, why are people marching against Wall Street and not Washington? Doesn't anyone realize that their cause for protesting would've been resolved and justified if the government DID NOT bail Wall Street out?

I find the most inspiring and optimistic thing about this movement is that FOR ONCE it doesnt seem like Americans will stand down. If, for example, they were pretty much *forced* to go home, I feel like it still wont be like "Oh well, we tried". Anything that happens now will be encoded into the American collective consciousness, and if OWS gets shut down, there will be even greater opposition. No one will go home and forget about it. And thats the most important part, IMO.

LunaticFringeHunter 4 months ago
@LunaticFringeHunter I always did get it. I just didn't think the law of having generators in the park was more important than the US Constitution. That's just me though. YMMV.
HabeasMortis 4 months ago
@HabeasMortis "I just didn't think the law of having generators in the park was more important than the US Constitution."
Ah, but the laws flow FROM the Constitution, not from your presumptions. By law, it would only take a single filed complaint from the property owners and every dirtbag there would be gone in 24 hours, but it would be messy ( which would have its own entertainment value, but would only embolden the Bolshaviks ).
LunaticFringeHunter 4 months ago
@LunaticFringeHunter So, a derivative law of the Constitution is more powerful than a provision of the Constitution itself, because said derivative comes from the Constitution? That's exactly how your reasoning reads, and it's a perfect example of a flawed circular argument.
HabeasMortis 4 months ago
@HabeasMortis If your tortured logic were to hold, then according to the 2nd Amendment, everyone in Zucotti Park should be allowed to carry firearms, yes? Property rights evolved directly from the Constitution, do they not?

@LunaticFringeHunter What tortured logic? Everybody in the park should be allowed to carry firearms. And guess what? It's privately owned public property. How is that term even possible? He found that, after the Reagan tax cuts gained traction, African-American unemployment fell from 19.5 percent in 1983 to 11.4 percent in 1989. Black-owned businesses saw income rise from $12.4 billion in 1982 to $18.1 billion in 1987-an annual average growth rate of 7.9 percent. The black middle class expanded by one-third during the Reagan years, from 3.6 million to 4.8 million."

LunaticFringeHunter 4 months ago
@LunaticFringeHunter You want to see real corruption and hunt the lunatic fringe? - ask the Koch brothers to open their books. How is having a finance committee automatically a sign of corruption?
gene1936 4 months ago
@gene1936 Well, I suppose we may agree, but I don't want to feed your anti-Fox bigotry, so I'll confess. I Googled the donations and where they were going, then read the comments of protesters who were being victimized by the very system they had created. @LunaticFringeHunter Also, FYI, it's "du jour" (though I suppose you don't care, since almost all Foxtards are anti-French), and you can't really refer to something as "du jour" (of the day) anyway when describing something that's been going on for a decade or more.

LunaticFringeHunter 4 months ago
@gene1936 Sorry you missed the entire point of my post. I'll repeat it for you. IT TOOK ONLY ONE MONTH FOR THE OWS MOVEMENT TO CREATE ITS OWN CORRUPT TOP 1%, AND BEGIN TO PEDDLE INFLUENCE WITHIN THE MOVEMENT.
Get it?
LunaticFringeHunter 4 months ago
@LunaticFringeHunter i read it and get it. You're implying that there's a contradiction in OWS because they set up a finance committee to safeguard, track and dole out donated money and this is somehow ironically the same as the real 1% "peddling influence." I read about complaints from wgs and i do have my own concerns about any one working group within OWS having too much power. But that's not really your concern - is it? Many of us are working to avoid the pitfalls while u just hope it fails.
gene1936 4 months ago
@gene1936 You're absolutely wrong about me hoping it fails. I have no such hopes or desires, I simply find it amusing and, in some respects, the longer it goes on the more amusing it becomes. The issue is, without a central theme, the entire enterprise is degenerating into a mini-corrupt government of its own. Fascinating to watch. Lofty ideals of a few aside, it is the deadbeats waiting around for free goods and services that illustrate the most irony for me.

LunaticFringeHunter 4 months ago
@LunaticFringeHunter That math does not make sense at all. That would mean the top 2% only has about $1.3 trillion in wealth, but the top 400 richest Americans alone have more than that (according to politifact) not to mention the other 6+ million people in the top 2%.

Just "baaaaa" at them and be relieved you don't share their love of their Owners.
fyrespirit999 4 months ago 2

Our government should provide infastruture for it. we should raise our voices together and demand it.
chrysalis12481 4 months ago
@chrysalis12481 - did you not get the memo? Our country is broke. We can't afford fire fighters, policemen and teachers. I, as a taxpayer who would love to take off and protest but have to keep working to pay my bills and feed my children, do not want to go into further debt paying for democracy in action/tents, etc.
stacymeros 4 months ago 3
@chrysalis12481 I don't demand anything from anyone... I get it myself.

Pro corporate/rich, anti society teabaggers disbanded with fox news in a confused state of mind after the first day of the protest.

Sychotic1 4 months ago
@Sychotic1
Seriously? Do you know who engages the biggest lobbying presence in all of Washington DC? In the entire country? That would be LABOR...that's why the unions insist on the little guy (agree or not) pay up to support their incredibly corrupt habits including heavy-handed lobbying.

Trying to respond to people like edelmangabriel is a waste of time and energy. Save discussions for the rational, thoughtful and open-minded.

That was one of the most boring reporters I have ever heard. But at least they show the support!
SRP211 4 months ago
@edelmangabriel, asking for handouts you say? the 99% arent asking for handouts, they're asking to be treated like humans instead of cattle and unless you have loads of money and power you're nowhere near the 1%.
56Elite 4 months ago
@56Elite They are asking for handouts. Deal with it.
They took out student loans and got useless degrees with it and now they want the government to forgive those loans.
Screw them.
