Lo amo, no me aburro de escucharlo y verlo, es muy guapo y su voz es muy profunda y llena de sentimiento. Deben escuchar el album Songs from the war years, es excelente.
PS. Vinay,Nikolov,Giacomini avvevano voce di basso accanto quella di hvorostovsky !
That's because "Cadenzas" have to follow a certain tonal structure (with several variations). But they are have to end with a V7 chord, then end up at tonic by the last chord.
I'm meeting this man tonight with my mom. :) (cause shes an pro opera singer too).

I agree with po12po that his is a better voice now.In prior years the top would thin out. He's worked that out now.

Horrendous rendition of this aria! No Verdi here.
Sex appeal on the other hand....
mrantiquedealer 1 year ago
@mrantiquedealer RIght, no Verdi there, you must have it all where you are. What a ridiculous comment.

@po1212Po To be fair, that first Verdi recording was done when he was 28 and had no business singing that stuff!

he looks gooood with longer hair:-)

His voice has all the beauty of lyric baritone and enough dramatism for singing Verdi perfectly

Is it me or does this aria have the same ending as Quanto e bella from L'elisir D'amore?
LetItBe920 3 years ago
Cadenzas sort of all sound the same.

jeffro887 2 years ago
that's not true, there are multiple occasions when a V7 chord is used and they don't always resolve themselves to a tonic

Beautiful voice, and what a man!
Il Trovatore was the first opera I've seen, and I fell in love with Luna. :) I just love Verdi baritones. Bad guys rules.
