Rick, great video by the way, how did you create the light rays in the opening sequences - is it post in AE or something - it certainly adds great impact to the visuals - my only critique is the sharpness of the inicorn silhouette, perhaps a blurr effect on that layer would have been effective in making the scene realistic - otherwise a great job - and good luck - I know the great amount of time and effort you are devoting to this is worth while and must give you a great feeling.

Thanks again for the great comments. The effect is created using a free download called "luce". There is a link to it from the Camcorder Bandits website (filmmaking resources >> Misc video making Freebies).

I agree with you on the sharpness thing,in fact, I did play about with the focus for a while, but what you see is about the best I could get it - blurred just didn't look quite right.

You wouldn't believe how hard it was to find a royalty free Unicorn! - had to settle for a silhouette.

Somehow I think you sadly missed the point of Ricks creation, 'Unim' is unlimited imagination- Rick states its a place where magic happens and only the young people would understand. Open your mind to what this site will deliver to young children when the stories are read to them, by their parents. Surely this parent - child bonding is something that is missing with today's fast paced, tv and game console society. Any quality time between parent and child is surely commendable and praiseworthy

Well done Rick, this project certainly fits your style and theatrical charisma, notwithstanding the pleasure it will bring to those children whose parents have discovered your new venture. You are absolutely right, it's all too easy to get infront of a tv and watch rubbish, rather than informative programmes. Children need to be encouraged to dream more, play more and not afraid to act "childishly". Stimulation is so very important to learning, and later in life "Imagineering" skills are key.
