serifs are semi-structural details on the ends of some of the strokes that make up letters and symbols. An example could be the thinning of the line on the tails of d's and a's. Sans-serif is a font with little thinning of lines and without the flourishes on the ends of the strokes.

The 700mhz model with 640megs of ram.

My uncle used it every day for work as his presentation, work and home machine for 5 years. (from ~2002 dec) After that I had to replace the harddrive, because the old one needed to be destroyed, with a 30gb model.

The Harddrive replacement took me 3 hours btw. (you need to remove every component to acces the harddrive) but it was well worth it ! :-D

It runs OSX 10.4.10 now, and it's still quick for basic use. !

obviously it wasn't all made by me, but i put all the parts in one video to make my idea concrete.

I agree with you, doubt they'd be mad for the promo since it's the positive kind (and not something like "the older stuff was great but the new stuff isn't") and besides just take the latest iPod Touch commercial as an example, kid composed it in a similar fashion using whatever he could from Apple's demo videos and suddenly Apple contacted him (in a good way) and in a few days a broadcast version was made... actually I'm pretty sure the person was in the UK too :-)
