According to catalogue data a brand new W123 240D 0-60 reaches after 22 seconds. Those are mules not sportsters - I wish it's not so.

@Tinsmith8591 I know, I was just joking. Mine was an '81 and by the time I sold it it had 312K miles on it, so it could barely get out of its own way. I have a video of it starting up on a cold morning on here.

wow you were at very high RPMs throwing it in 3rd. I am scared I will blow my motor if I do that... not worth it.

True, quite high - the engine did get a hard time, but for a short period of time as You saw/heard. The gear reduction at the speed (80/90 km/h) was actually more damaging to the gearbox rather than to the engine.

Were there ever sold new W123's in Poland or were they imported after 1990? ?

Don't have info as of 123's sold in Poland, but these models were imported to Poland for sure - mostly from Gemany - like this one in 1989.
