  • thanks for the correction.its hard to keep track

  • is this RTZ or Ernie and the Automatics?

  • sorry everybody i had it wrong.barry WAS brads brother in law,not fran.sorry bout that.

  • barry was NOT brads brother in law, fran cosmo was.

  • @540allison Incorrect, Brad and Barry's wives were sisters...

  • We all miss you Brad.

  • only 13000 views!? Counter must be off - I know a few thousand of them are me!

  • cant everybody just listen to the music and remember Brad ?....why all the arguing?.....we're all here because of Boston and Brad..we wanna see, we wanna listen....come on people..mellow out

  • excuse my language but Sib is the GD MAN!

  • Don't get me wrong, I like the sound effects and hammond organ Tom recorded. And I even like the guitar stuff he did with the harmony leads etc. I just think he ruined the band with his ego.

  • MMM He bought his first guitar at Sears...local boy :)

  • my dad went to school with him.

  • Barry is the king of the SG. Sib rocks on drums....... Sib.... grow back that fro brutha !!!

  • Barry Goudreau, what a great guitarist! A waste of talent thanks to Tom Scholz!!! Should of been a lot more good Boston music put out from 78 to 86. What a shame!!! Still love them though. Especially Brad Delp and Barry, Would never leave out Sib love sib and Fran Sheehan!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Most people don't know Bary did all those great tracks. These idiots belive Scholz did it all...

  • Barry (and Brad) certainly added a lot to the Boston sound, but could we stop pounding on Tom S.? The songs were all his. I deeply wish there was more music from them, too, but Scholz is the reason we've got what we do.

On another note, it's good to hear Brian Maes sing. "Until Your Love Comes Back Around" is one of my RTZ favorites. An amazing tune.

  • I think so!

  • Ok for real where do u get this info? Not starting a fight, I love every band member from the original Boston! I hear so much of this and that.

  • Well that's because its all true. Barry Goudrea was brad Delps brother in law and was the one who did all that awesome guitar work on the 1st 2 albums.

  • Really dude? Barry rocks there is no doubt! But I dont think you know what your thinking talking about. If you do let me know where you got you info?

  • Open your ears. Tom sholz played on a goldtop LP with single coils. Tom Sholz can not play slide. Tom sholz did not have a tremolo on his goldtop until the 80's. Barry played an SG with a Bigsby. Tom can't play lead worth a damn just the harmony parts. Listen to the live 77 long beach recording. Sholz spent most of the concert on the Hammond. Barry WAS the Boston guitar sound. Listen to the guitar work on Barry's solo album. Why do you think the guitar work sucked so bad on 3rd stage?

  • Furthermore, Listen to Rockin away. It sounds like it is straight off the first album. Listen to that mess corperate america or 3rd stage and compare. Sholz made all the space noises, jet engines etc. Take Barry out of the band and all you are left with is rhythm guitar and lots of sound effects.

  • That really justifies how many albums Third stage, Walk on, And even Corporate America sold so well huh? Yes Corporate America wasnt a great seller yet it sole 1 million copies. Boston is still very solid and has avid followers. Yes Delp was Barrys inlaw but that has nothing to do with it. I would love barry to be back in Boston but lets not slam the man who created Boston! Just remember only 2 people were signed for the first record deal, that was Tom and Brad!

  • @jrbostonrocks Sorry dude, All 3 albums you mentioned sucked. You don't hear them being played on the radio do you? 25 years and still being played... The original lineup was the shit. When Tom fire them the creativity was gone.

  • tom put mini buckers on his guitar......and he had p90's which are damn bright for single coils, plus neither had tremolo......tom never had tremolo, he bends like a fool u retard

  • Thats why third stage sold so many albums than huh? What about walk on? that album had a strong classic Boston sound. And corporate America was very good, not ment to be a big seller even though it sold 1 million. Only 2 people were signed for the first album and who was that? Tom and Brad! Who wrote and recorded almost all Boston, TOM SHOLZE! I feel if Brad didn't disagree with Tom writing it I believe it.

  • BrainMorrison71,

I couldn't agree more. Barry WAS the Boston guitar sound for sure! It's evident on his sol records & a lot of the material Barry has done since Boston.

The "Rock & Roll Band" that was the band Boston, left with Barry Goudreau.

Scholz ruined a GREAT band & thing he had.

7 yrs to make ballad girly tunes. Come on. Without the ORIGINAL BAND, it's not the REAL Boston "Rock&Roll Band" that fans loved.

Tom was good at sound fx & taping. Barry was the great fast lick shredder.

  • @lonaticc AMEN! Someone with an ear for a change...

  • Yes he was Brads brother in law.

  • @jrbostonrocks And for your info, Brad was trying forever to get Barry back in the band because he couldn't write with Scholz. RTZ, Orion the hunter, Barry Gouderau Solo album. Take a listen to "Dreams" and tell me that isn't boston without the pickslides and "hyperspace" sounds...

  • @BrianMorrison71 I have lisend to them and they do sound LIKE Boston, dont get me wrong good tunes.

  • @BrianMorrison71 I dont like that song, but the rest of that album kicks the ass man I finally found it and bought it and am not disappointed at all! mean woman blues is my FAV of it! I just love anything thats Boston!

  • check out good ole' Sib Hashian on drums

  • Can someone please explain how the Wikipedia article states that Hashian was "conspicuously absent" from this event, yet many of you seem sure that he's on this video... Lets clear this one up.

  • To clear up the confusion, Sib was at the event, however he chose not to go on stage with Boston, which is what the wikipedia article was referring to.

He did play with "RTZ" and with "Ernie and the Automatics," his current band, who have released their debut album, "Low Expectations."

  • Its a good album too. I saw them on the day the CD came out, they were promoting it at Newbury comics, which is located behind my house. THey were awesome live!

  • He played, just not with Boston, he played with RTZ and Ernie and the Automatics. Anyway the info you read on Wikipedia is hit or miss when it comes to the facts, but that is Sib playing on "Rockin Away", you probably just don't recognize him without his 70's afro.

  • Dude its wiki!

  • Thinking of you Brad...RIP You are missed.

  • Does Brian still host the open mic on Tuesdays in Saugus??

It's great to see Sibby playing with RTZ, but where's Steffy???

  • RIP brad. pob the greatest singer ever alive. to bad man.

  • Boston=bes band,ever.!!

  • agree 100%.
