Anybody else discover in the 80's (birth of affordable Walkman) that you could plug the headphones in halfway and get isolated tracks? I listened to all of Ride The Lightning that way in '89.
It's obvious now, but to all the younger fans, when the Black Album came out, we were trying to figure out who was singing the chorus. We had never heard James do such soft vocals.
