@Oshyoga The "peace" gained by not believing is one of denial. In the context of this video, this man could pretend God didn't exist and die feeling alright, but that wouldn't change the fact that God does exist. The reason he has no peace isn't because he believes, but because he can't convince himself that God is willing to forgive him. Satan sometimes uses guilt to separate us from God, making us think we can't be forgiven even though God says we can.

The very fact that He is concerned about his soul, the very fact that he wants a minister that believes in a real hell seems to be evidence that the Holy Spirit maybe at work here. I don't think an unsaved person would be worried about there standing before God.

@October31st1517 I'm not saying he's unsaved. It does seem quite apparent that he knows what is coming after death. However, he feels so terrible about what he did that he is afraid God will withdraw grace from him. Early in the video he says that he doesn't feel God could forgive him of such a terrible deed. The man knows God exists and knows He offers forgiveness, but assumes that what he did is so terrible that he won't be forgiven.

@morsusmihi the fact that people do not believe in something it doesn't make that unbelief into a reality, but it's reality it's determined by its own, which we will all see at some point in life. I think that the focus is not so much about the guy dying but how we are wrapped up on a culture that has no real God and how (in this case) someone about to die realized that out of fear of facing a holy God. Plus, atheist don't believe in hell + all true Christianity, so it wouldn't make a difference

@aarancel I don't think that you understand what I was saying. Atheists believe that there is no God, heaven or hell. So trying to scare them with hell isn't going to do anything to them. Trying to scare them by saying that they'll have to face God after they die isn't gonna do anything because they don't believe. In order for you to be scared of something, you have to believe in it. So the point of this video shouldn't be to scare people because the only people it's gonna scare are Christians.

Knowing hollywood, I'm pretty sure he came to terms with the "new age mumbo jumbo" and died knowing "god is love" and that he's just fine no matter what, cause he was basically "good". Or maybe he was "at peace" finally, because he came to believe that this life is all there is. In other words, I'm sure it didn't really "slip through the cracks", he was probably somehow mocked later. But still, hopefully through this small part God plants a seed in someone's heart.
