Not one hit wonders at all in my mind. They produced a number of great albums with solid, memorable songs. They produced some great music, not just one song.
This "documentary" misses the point. They went on to do lot's of music, just not top 40 and not together. Guess the film maker doesn't understand that not everyone has the same definition of "success" Perhaps a good listen to the lyrics of Timbuk3's "B side of life" or "Shame on You" to understand where they were coming from. Oh well.
@cadysvids later in tn the documentary one of the commentators said the term "one hit wonder" was more of a poetic term refering to Jimmy Hendrix. It clear that it'd be more a matter of perception, or location. many bands in Europe charted better over there, so to that end you are spot on.
@cadysvids Their CD "Big Shot In The Dark" is their most awesome work. The lyrics to the title song are right on the money. One of their songs, "Sunshine" (from the same album" is also played on The Weather Channel sometimes. I love this group.

Was this song considered one of the worst of '86? It's pretty corny but I don't think it's that bad.

I love Timbuk3. FSBIGWS is actually my least favorite song of theirs, though.

My hats off to them for turning down that AT&T offer for 900, 000. They really stuck to their guns with that.
